  1. I think it supposed to be like a virtual graphics web browser wrapped onto a regular browser. Kind of like looking at a photo that has the front of the building on one side and the back on the other side. then stitching those pics together to create a 2 Dimensional 3D Model of whatever the pictures are about.Example. You take a picture of the Washington monument. Someone else has taken the same picture but from the west side, and another person has a photo they took of it from one of the angle sides, etc. Then this app, finds all the pictures relating to the Washington monument and pastes them together to create the illusion of a 3d rendering of it. But it's interactive and you can click on the individual photos and go to whatever website it was originally was posted on. and it will also integrate close up shots and insides of building and whatever.
  2. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ This was ingenius And hilarious!
  3. It's amazing that such a creature of myth could have everlasting life, even if only in our stories, dreams, movies, etc.Dragons: Do they exist?Well the bible describes giants of the land and sea, ad well as giant men and such. Could these be dragons, cyclops, giants in general? I think they are descriptions of creatures and beings as best described by that time frame. In Mideval times, people could have described creatures as dragons. Like huge lizards, and, as the stories were passed down had features added to them to make the stories more exciting. In the bible, in revelations, there are things that are described by that person in the time he lived. Fro instance giant dragon flies with scorpian like stingers, and the face of men, etc. Good description of an apache helicopter if you ask me.There are things that we have yet to discover, and we will try to describe them to the best of our ability. Of course, I am sure it will not be anything like what it really is, when actually photographed and discovered.
  4. I have to admit, that's pretty ingenius. Very well done! And pretty darn funny!
  5. There are a few things you need to remember when troubleshooting problems like this. What app are you running? When does it happen? What other apps are running when this happens?Does it happen in safe mode?Does it do the same thing on another PC?What hardware does this machine have?USB Devices?etc etc etc.Just remember this simple thought when trying to solve computer issues. If it happens the same way every time, it is software. If it happens differently or randomly, it is hardware or a connection to a hardware device.
  6. I agree that having your interests mobile is great. but when you start using them in the car while driving, it becomes unsafe.Technology has advance further in the last 20 years then it has in all of history. What will happen in another 10 years? Worm hole traveling, space flights every day, etc? Apple will make something incredible next again, but they are doomed for extinction.
  7. This is what I am going to do. Start my on online free storage company, have people upload all their personal data, and then shut the business down and take all their personal info!Sorry I don't trust start ups! And yea, 2 gigs isn't a whole lot.
  8. For one, Virtual PC for PCs suxk. No USB support, horrible grafx emulation, etc. Sure it's free now, but that's like giving away free shoes to people in wheel chairs. Sure it looks good on them, but they can't use 'em.Now VirtualPC 2007 may have changes, and may be better, and yes it will be free, but VMWare is by far the best at this. They have been doing it longer and have way more options. It's not free, but it kicks butt!
  9. Unless Microsoft or Fileforum says there is an update, I don't download crap for XP. Why would anyone download a Service Pack that wasn't mentioned on Microsoft's site?People like that need to give their computers back.
  10. Yeah Norton will do that to ya. If you have Norton on your system, get rid of it, COMPLETELY. If you just get rid of portions of it, you will be unable to see certain sites.
  11. Ok first off, images can not contain viruses. I don't care what you have read, they can not, unless they are in some sort of executable file.A picture as itself, ie BMP, JPG, PNG, etc can in no way contain a virus in any way.If it is a new Laptop, brand new not used or returned, then you need to take it back and get another one if you are having all these problems. Also remember that a lot of manufactures install their own apps onto their PC because they can.Unless you downloaded an email contained the virus, OR you downloaded pirated software, chances are it's not a virus.Virus can only be spread by you activating them.Simple!
  12. SnagIt will do it. There is also a video player out there, that is a free app, and allow you to capture screen still from a movie, but I forget the name of it.Do a search for it, you'll find it.
  13. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It's an interesting idea, but I really don't see the application behind it. I mean where do you go with this. Is it a new way or browsing the web, a new way to look at photos, a new way to waste our time and bandwidth and processing power? Maybe it's me, but I just don't get it.
  14. Actually you want an app called Melodyne, from Native Instruments. It is the app everyone uses to harrmonize their voice when it is out of range, and to add a bunch of effects.Native Instruments is the forerunner when it comes to sound editing and creation. For music creation I reccomend a low end app called FL Studio (Fruity Loops). But Melodyne is the app. Check it out!
  15. I do find it difficult at times to remember 1000 passwords. Yes having multiple passwords is safe, but tryign to remember them is hard. So what do you do to safeguard against password hacking? Open up notepad, close your eyes, and click some keys. Add some Capitals and and numbers in there and you got yourself a hard to crack password. and you can use the same one for a lot. As long as it is a STRONG password!
  16. I can tell you right now, that there is now way I would ever allow people that I didn't know to access my network. And there are a few obvious reasons, but for the most part, it's because you have no idea what they are doing. Not just pirating software, but tryign to seduce young girls into sex, trying to steal money from a stolen credit card or identity, etc. You have no idea what skeletons people have in their closets. And some, have entire graveyards!
  17. I have to admit, that computers allow me to be creative in almost every field. For instance I love to write music, stories, draw, create in general. Computers allow you to the ability to be able to create anything anywhere. So musicians are not left humming a song in there heads until they get home. Or an artist loses an idea for a painting just because they couldn't find a pencil. etc. This is the reason I think everyone has a PC now. The ability to be able to do something like never before.
  18. Ya know, I would really love to see a service that allows it's users to open files via the web, edit them and put them back. Kind of like a file service, but you are able to map to it, and get all of your files where ever they may be. SO much easier than trying to sync with the computer at home or a laptop.
  19. OMG I hate people who use their phones while driving, in the fast lane, going too slow for it, and then change lanes when I do to pass them. Just irritates the living snot out of me. Except I do use my phone while driving, but that is only because I do not cause traffic, or accidents. I am a better driver than they are, obviously
  20. well actually it's going to be more like this:/home/whateveryourloginisforcpnael/I had trouble with that one too. Except I used Joomla, but that is just a spin off of Mambo anyway, better in my opinion.
  21. Avalon: I would be interested in how you did that coloring. It's absolutely amazing.
  22. Here are a few: Thang Online: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ <-My Personal favorite. Project Entropia: http://www.entropiauniverse.com/ <-- Peopel are actually making money with this one, and it doesn't cost anythign to play. But they are making real cash. Don't ask me how. Survival Project: http://www.design.com.my/ And here is a whole site devoted to them http://www.onrpg.com/ Enjoy!
  23. Technically the wireless router can handle as many connection as the bandwidth will allow. If you are running at 100mb, and you have 20 computers on it, your connection speed will slow down considerably, providing they are all on at the same time. Plus distance to the wireless router has an effect on connection as well. But as for the whole plug and play, hot plug issue, 98se has PnP, everything before it, does not.And personally, I recommend hard wiring the desktops, and using wireless only for the laptops. Only because the desktop have a larger power supply, and I have seen testes that say it can interfere at times with the wireless singnal. But these are my own findings.
  24. thanks for the info guys I really do appreciate the comments and concerns.jlhaslip: 800 x 640? That's an odd resolution to have. And yea, it was a not as hard as I thought it would be. Just need to add some more divs into the code, and fix the index.php file.barnes: A lot of people are not goign to like the logo. But I kept it simple for one reason only and that is, it's 2 colors. Easy for printing. Letterhead, Business Cards, and other printable media.I am trying to work on a different one, but I think this one gets the point across. Thanks for the comment. :)And as far as the template thing, this is a modified free one I downloaded. I changed the name sto protect the innocent.
  25. I don't think there has been a time when I am on here that I haven't seen a mod on. Buffalo is always bugging me about something, but that is Good. He is doing his job, and well I might add!
