  1. OK at least now I know not to waste my time looking around figuring out how to enabled these. Now I will have to continue my search for a different Cart to use.
  2. OK I will have a look around my cPanel and see what I can find.
  3. I am looking into setting up an e-Commerce site and I am currently setting up X-Cart. When installing this I get a message telling me that the following functions are disabled: I looked around my cPanel and I could not find anything to re-enable these. If someone could please point me in the right direction on enabling these please let me know. Thank you! nations
  4. Well, like I said MOST of them are scams but not all. One thing I like to tell people is 99% of the HYIPs out there are pyramid scams, here is how they work: Person A signs up at thishyiprules.com Person A tells person B "Hey signup with me at thishyiprules.com you can earn 200% of what you deposit (just an example, some are greater, some are less) in a week." Person B deposits money. Admin uses Person B's money to pay person A. Person B gets paid with Person C's money etc. In the end not everyone gets paid and its better, in my opinion, to keep your money and not invest it in an HYIP unless you can burn it. Please note: this is just my OPINION and everyone is entitled to voice their own. nations
  5. Yeah, my dad almost fell for the nigerian scam, the one where you send your info to some guy who supposedly picked you to get his $15 million dollar fortune but, my dad caught it as a scam when it asked for his credit card information. Then he got another one (same type, but modified requirements) for $15 million from some other country and you had to send bank information (wiring info). It looked semi-legit until it asked for his mothers maiden name (so the b******s could withdraw money from his bank account) he deleted the email and told me about it.One thing with spammers/scammers is this, the turnover rate is horrible (The lowest rate I have read about is 1 in 5 million or as high as 1 in 20 million). So thats why it seems like everyone gets the email around your area at the same time. Here is how most spammers get your email address:They buy lists off other spammers (who obtain the addresses from companies with loose or no security/privacy policy), get your address by guessing (using computer programs to generate email addresses and other programs to verify if the address is "live"), or by viruses/spyware and other means. Some good policies for staying off Spammer lists:Do NOT post your email address 'out in the open' (ie in forums etc.) Spammers collect addresses using Spiders like Search engines crawl your page to rank it.Do NOT give your email address to any of those "You have won a free item" popups you see on the net.DO read privacy and security practices for websites your going to submit your email address to.DO scan your computer on a weekly basis for AdWare and Viruses (I recommend Ad-Aware for getting rid of AdWare and Kaspersky Anti-virus for your Antivirus). If I think up more I will post them.Peace, nations
  6. Just to prove how cheap bandwidth (and even Storage space) really is I went on a hunt for a well known hosting company, this company does not specialize in hosting but a different form of internet business. They can give you the following deal: This for only $14.99 Month to month or $11.99/Mo if you stick with them for 24 Months. The cheapest plan they have is this: Basically bandwidth is cheap and so is storage space. I won't reveal who this is (they are extremely well known anyway!), I just thought I would post these plans of theirs to show everyone how cheap bandwidth really is. With how cheap these plans are you could easily have your visitors pay for your hosting bill by having Google AdSense setup. Heck, if you need help paying the hosting bills too badly you could do what I have seen most Bittorrent trackers do and have a donation button. Then you simply state (or you can code a chart that autoupdates when you get donations) so far this month we recieved $xxx.x dollars so far in donations, we need $xxx.xx to pay our bandwidth bills! Here is an example from one of the sites I visit on a weekly basis: Over $100 from Google Ads in a month, you can EASILY get the money you need to cover your hosting bills and earn a small amount on top of that. See? If you really need to have more then the 3GB offered here at Xisto then simply setup Google Ads and you will have you bills paid for you (Pretty much). Notice from rejected: Put stats in quotes. Please refrain from posting materials copied without quotes.
  7. Here is a link to how the credit system works: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/6147-posting-activity-rule-automated-hosting-script-know-about-how-this-system-works/ I hope you enjoy your stay here at Xisto.com, this place really has some awesome hosting!
  8. Just a though for everyone who is looking into PTRs:When the payout is extremely low or is .01 cent (aka No-Minimum) it is really hard to justify it. The rate at which you earn is not enough to justify the time spent. Also, you can only request payout every month (unless you pay a one-time fee of $10+ for a membership) so then PTRs etc. make even less sense to spend your time on.
  9. Yeah, its pretty crazy what they have done with technology. I was around when the Nintendo NES came out and man, that thing was so cool (and still is!). But, on the topic of phones, my friend can play almost any NES game on his phone now. He also has Doom 1 and 2, which are full quality. Its just weird to try and think what will come out in even the next five years at the rate technology is growing.Back on the phone topic, a friend of mine has the ability to watch cable TV on his phone, he also has it so he can connect to his computer at home anytime he can get signal on his phone. He says it works similar to a Slingbox. Whats next? A cell phone that is as strong as most PCs were five years ago? Maybe, we will have to just wait and see.
  10. Programs like these, as a rule-of-thumb, are scam. Do NOT invest into these unless you have money to burn. Plus, if you look at it, you have to get others to invest to get money. Its really hard to do so, just like this guy here, most of the people who join the programs setup automated programs linked with huge proxy lists and they automatically go around the net like a search engine spider and sign up at every forum they can. Then the spider reports to the spammer what forums its successfully signed up on and which ones need human help to get though security (i.e. the turning numbers). Then, after they are signed up at millions of forums, the bot is run again (or a different bot is run) that is again connected to millions of proxies and this bot goes to all of the fourms that the old bot signed up on. It then is programed to select a (usually random, although it seems like this one was set to make sure it was placed in a semi-appropriate fourm) fourm and posts the spammers referral link and some semi-effective (when considered its posted to millions of fourms) advertisment that eventually gets enough people to signup where if the program is really legit, the person would get some dough for almost no work. But, as I said earlier, its more of a waste of time as 99.9% of these programs are scams and don't pay anyway.
  11. Just consider the amount of time you spend vs the money you earn lol. Its like $1.00 an hour if that. Plus, from what I read, you have to PAY a monthly fee to earn much.
  12. While I don't think they would broadcast Red vs Blue on TV they do show Red vs Blue at some gaming conferences. If you keep an eye on the Red vs Blue website (rvb.roosterteeth.com) they announce, usually a few days in advance, if they are going to be hanging around any sort of conference such as E3 etc.
  13. Thanks Cerebral Stasis for the links to that HL2 video, its good stuff.I forgot about P.A.N.I.C.S. which I downloaded and enjoyed very much. I like the Strangerhood because I play the Sims 2 every once in a while. But, in my opinion, Red vs Blue is still the best machinima I have seen so far.
  14. A friend of mine used this tutorial and got parts of Red vs Blue (specific extras) on his phone. I know he had a MicroSD card on his phone that he played the videos off of. Yes, it does take up space on your phone (or with specific phone models you can use an SD card instead.) I am sure it doesn't take up a ton of space when shunken down to fit on your phones' screen.
