Last year i had a shocker at uni due to lack of motivation and the lack of organisation (concentrated on other things), grades suffered as a result. The next semester was slightly better passing over half of the subject, but in general I still had a shocker last year, had to bite the bullet with parents yelling over the poor results , but the second semester did have a few factors with a close one passing away, plus a few minor injuries (from basketball and football).I'm doing much better this term though, getting my head down and into it after last years definite wake up call

I have seen in the earlier days when the playstation first came out, some of the sellers were selling the playstation "BOX".. yes only the box with nothing in it. I was suprised to see one of those items sold for $5, let alone being bid on.

I dont breakdance, but I agree its one of the best and most dances around.I cant really breakdance myself, but could do only a few moves in my younger years. I knew a few breakdancers from my TAFE days. Every time a good song is playing, they start breaking out and start to break dance with their own unique moves as well... they have the talent, and may probably one day may go pro.

I'd have to echo most sentiments and agree that it's one of the best free Anti Virus programs around. Regular updates, upgrades to the program, and detects viruses that the paid version of Nortons wont detect. It would be a good compilation with any spyware program IMO.

Free Mobile Games/software Legal free stuff for mobile phones
arnz replied to Cigaras's topic in Mobile Phones
The prob I find with mobile phone games/software/etc is the different file formats which does make it incompatible on the pc and so on, also the price to retrieve the software/music/games on mobile. If you wanted to get a mp3 from the PC to the phone and so on, it's close to impossible, not that I usually do it anyway. -
I've been taught how to swim when I was a kid, especially in school since swimming was a important part of the cirriculum. While I'd say that i'm a reasonably good swimmer, i'm definitely not up to standards of those that swim on a competitive basis.

I thought that was a pretty weak joke by the looks of it, since romance sites does have a bit more content than what was listed on Googles page. Speaking of Aprils Fools Jokes, I liked that one from the airliners site where the whole front page was listed in pink (in a attempt to get more girls to the site).. that one was a classic.

For some reason, I'd have to say that the system for credits is pretty fair. It's better than having a few users with many posts with just a few words, 1 or 2 sentences.. or 1 word replies such as "LOL", or "ROFLMAO". Easily gives users more motivation to post a bit more than what has been mentioned so many times.

I'm also in university at the moment. I'm in my third year of a 4-year course.. (or 3 semesters to go), and my major is on Comp-based Art + design and hadnt decided on my business stuff yet...I'm not sure whether I did the right thing in regard to choosing business because last semester the business half was kinda hard to stay motivated...I'm hoping this semester will be better than the last one though, since I have many thoughts of what to do if things doesnt turn out the way I planned. So far though I find this semester okay.

Should I Trust Goldnow.st With My Money? Is it a scam?
arnz replied to adriantc's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like a scam by the looks of it. Personally I wouldnt trust the company offering it unless if it had a good reputation with customers and there was sufficient evidence of it. -
I dont mind watching League.. (I'm a aussie ), but again I dont mind most football codes around. I hadn't played the game as much, but it is pretty good.

Why Linux Can't Be And Not Equal To Windows Linux = Windows
arnz replied to keysmaker's topic in Operating Systems
For me Linux and Windows are a bit similar, although there are obvious differences (ie open source in Linux's case). Linux seems to be reasonably good coding wise, but the prob IMO would the lack of programs tailored for it (considering it aint a major OS)... Although I do like the Lindows hybrid. -
It depends on a few factors...Are the companies gonna be merged under a new name, or is there going to be a holding company for the 2 companies (or should I say subsidiaries). If the companies are still gonna be separate but under the one banner, how are both companies going to differentiate from each other?.. (At the same time, how are both going to avoid cannibalism.. or in simple terms.. compete against themselves). Is there the budget to maintain both sites should both continue to trade separately..?Like everyone else said, if both companies are going to offer the same stuff, just re-direct one of the sites to the most popular site, the holding company, or the dominant partner.

At my prom, it started with the traditional waltz, and slow stuff, but ended up with a good mix of all kinds of music (i dont mind most music). Generally, there is also a song from the "pop" lists that may be generally used as the "graduation song" of that year. I graduated in 2001 and at my prom there was a good mix of music played (there were some I dont like), but overall did enjoy the night. To be honest, i'm not the sort of guy that would just go out there and dance, but again every now and again I dont mind getting out there and loosen myself, just having fun. So again all I can suggest is that you just go with the flow, loose yourself, stay with the beat and most of all just have fun.

I have doubts that this idea will take off, well in Australia anyway. The major customer base of people in McDonalds down here is young teenagers and kids, ppl that are usually older try to spend as little time as possible in McDonalds, or get what they need and walk out (or use the drive through). Also greasy hands, paper, and computers do not mix for the busy business worker, so I cant see them using it often. I realise that some restaurants down here have wireless internet access, but considering the price to use it, I cant really those ideas being a success, let alone wireless internet access.

I am one of the many guys that are over 18. Regarding the gender balance on this board, it's likely to stay the same, although it would be nice if there were more girls. As previous posters said though, it be considerably hard to get accurate count, since many people do not disclose their gender information on forums.

I'm fluent in English. Both my parents are filipino so I can speak a bit of tagalog and while I can naturally understand and talk a bit of it, its not fluent. I've had learned japanese and french in school, although I've learned a bit of Spanish recently (not fluent yet), but is interesting.

I live in Australia, and already I had visited the Phillippines, Los Angeles/San Diego in the USA, and Toronto in Canada to visit relatives. At the same time, had visited the attractions, ie the theme parks, disneyland, knotts, etc, Seaworld, etc. Although interestingly, I wouldnt mind visiting Europe in some countries like Germany, UK, and Ireland.Europe has some nice places and attractions to visit, while at the same time it has pretty friendly locals in most areas, and also some of the chicks are good

Generally no. Private is for that person's eyes only, and public is for everyone to view. Although in some serious cases, ie law authorities or etc, it may be required to release the private message and whatever might be in the message.
