  1. I've done work experience as a office admin at a racing course, and a marine centre.. didnt mind it but it wasnt what i wanted to do.. and my first two sites i did was pretty much an unpaid job, although the second one netted me an unexpected $200 for over 2 weeks work.
  2. For sure! at times I felt like giving up internet related stuff. There has been many forums and communities I've been a part of and/or moderated. There have been times where I've taken a 'break' from the internet and pretty gotten more of a life.. but when I come back onto the internet as a free time filler, new content, debates and all are there and it makes it very interesting to read as opposed to being on everyday hoping for a new topic to discuss or so... But then again, now I try to balance life, work and study with internet and other hobbies.. Dont mind indoor sports during the mid week, and gotta love the drinks on friday/sat arvo/evenings.
  3. Best place for me would have to be Baguio in the Phillippines on the northern end of Luzon Island, clean, and in a mountainous town.. although it does tend to rain most afternoons, thus a restriction of flights into the town.Other from that, I'd say I had enjoyed San Diego, Vegas to an extent, and perhaps San Fransisco. Los Angeles wasnt too bad, I enjoyed the theme parks and all, but it wouldnt be a place I'd want to live in. Out of my travels on the Aus east coast, I'd say Canberra and Melbourne are pretty nice to visit, although I'd definitely would not live in Canberra lol..
  4. Australia v Italy is gonna be a very interesting match... Australia the fighting underdogs v the heavy favourites of Italy.. being biased, I'll prefer that Australia will win.. but a draw might be enough to get Italy through.. (pending on other results and the fact that Italy is a higher rank)
  5. This is hilarious.. seriously, where did golfpro.org came from? I'll just presume they bought it off the original owner of the site for no particular reason (ie one of them WTF-like purchases)
  6. Talk about back in the 90s... if this was the 90s, then the design would be considered acceptable, but wow... shocking as. I'm guessing they havent updated the background and navigation of the website since the 90s.As for the plans lets not go there... even a n00b would go for a provider with ads before that mob..
  7. I dont think the students should be stripped search. Ok, maybe check them every now and again using sniffer dogs, portable metal detectors and the like, but not in the police method of just chucking things everywhere to find drugs or evidence. As for phones, they shouldnt really take them away from students unless if they were really disruptive in class or during breaks. If anything particular is found, they should really contact the parents asap and then confront the student at home rather than at school.
  8. I've been using google earth as of late to identify out potential sites. I am a bit of a transport fan, (ie bus or train), and I do follow things like infrastructure news or proposals. An example of this is the proposed new suburban railway line down the south western suburbs of Brisbane, which has been approved by the state government, with the potential route identified. In a way, I use google earth to spot out potential station sites (although it may not be the eventual site of the train stations along the proposed route).
  9. I think that re-incarnation will sorta be in a different situation from the last time a living thing might be in.For example, someone that may have struggled through life may get re-born in a nice place, clean house and so on. The reverse could happen for those that may have started out in a nice place, yet reborn in a bad place by nature, because the 'nature gods' think they may be able to deal with it. Like the previous posters said, I tend to agree in some ways with the grading system that was mentioned.Personally, I dont really know.. and who knows, after a person may die, well they may just get laid to rest, and go into a long sleep. Maybe there isnt something after death?
  10. The united kingdom, i would like to visit there one day, especially Northern and normal ireland.. I like their accents lol.. I've been to many places in the world, but not europe as of yet. I've only travelled to a few places in Asia, and the east coast of the USA, and Toronto lol.Ok enough of the rant, welcome aboard matey, and you'll enjoy yourself here.
  11. Depending on where ever in the world a particular sports star in, he/she is going to get scrutinised or torn by the media where ever he/she goes, or what he/she does. For example, in Australia.. There is Shane Warne, he is Australia's and likely worldwide's best spin bowler in cricket. He may not be the model sportsperson off the field, but I feel its gone too far to an extent where the media goes as far to butt into sportstars personal life and trying to squeeze as much money out of the parties as possible. Personally I give a crud what Warney might do off the cricket field...so he has played up on his wife before, it aint the first time a celebrity has done that and it wont be the last. They have since split up, and Simone (warne's ex-wife) and will be getting her fair share of the custody of their children, and the assets (ie estate) that she had once shared with warne. But the point.. Warne is a brilliant sportman while on the cricket field, and plays the game competitively. I dont know whether you may watch the cricket or even like it at all, but for those that watch him in a cricket match dont really give a crud about his off-field deeds while he's playing.. he's no different to a hollywood star when it comes to flirting, infidelity and so on.. This is just one of many sport stars in the world that may have had their private life exposed to the media. When a sportstar's personal life comes out in the open, why is there so much media attention about it? is it because of the lack of action in Hollywood, or just media trying to capitalise on a slow day?I say leave the sportstars alone, who cares what they do in their personal life. Just concentrate on their achievements, and not the private life (whether if its true or not)..Any thoughts?
  12. That Australia v Brazil match was a good match for most of the game, scoreless in the first half with some chances from both sides. Since I was going for Australia I was hoping at best a draw, but Brazil were simply that good on the day, but congrats on the australians for holding the brazilians back in the first half. Bring on Croatia
  13. I'm prolly neutral now, but I was a fan of it when I was younger. All fighting type shows that were adopted from Japan like dragonball, power rangers (LOL), VR Troopers had a lot of violence...But then again, there was the likes of itchy and scratchy from the simpsons, looney tunes (as others said), tom and jerry, which had one character going after the other and trying to kill em and so on..
  14. All i can say is dont kidnap her! be yourself, and dont try to be a tryhard.. that'll get you nowhere.. Seen far too many cases of people trying hard (or not being themselves) around a person of affection..
  15. Sorry if this may have been brought in the past, but it hasnt been up as of late, and I thought I might start the discussion or get your thoughts on this.I've been born a catholic, but a non-practising one. To be honest, I only attend church about twice a year (Easter/Christmas). Personally, I think there is nothing that any religion has to offer. Is god is a mere word? a word that gives great amount of hope to people when needed. Because by the sound of it, 'God' could be just a world that implies 'hope' to many people, nothing more. After recent events from many religions, I feel that religion is looking like its all talk and no walk.Science on the the other hand has proven many things, but still has yet to prove many other things. It is also a ongoing 'experiment' which in some way makes sense.Overall, whether we like it or not, religion is there for a balance view (although it may not be like that at times). What are your thoughts? (for science, religion or both?)
  16. Only if I had the time to do it back then I'd would've entered! good grief darn university exams!.. ahh well maybe next time.. unless if there are still secondary prizes around..(10 credits?)
  17. Source: off a email, and thought I may share this.A few of the new error messages that were taken under consideration during the development of the Windows XP operating system...? Smash forehead on keyboard to continue.? Press any key to continue or any other key to quit. ? BREAKFAST.SYS halted... Cereal port not responding.? Close your eyes and press escape three times.? File not found. Should I fake it? (Y/N) ? Runtime Error 6D at 417A:32CF: Incompetent User. ? Enter any 11-digit prime number to continue.? Bad command or file name! Go stand in the corner. ? Windows message: "Error saving file! Format drive now? (Y/Y)" ? Windows VirusScan 1.0 - "Windows found: Remove it? (Y/N)"
  18. I probably suggest a free domain redirect like co.nr or so, as I personally cannot find any services that provides a free .com domain. But still even if they was, it would usually be the conditions (ie posting, permission, or something that would have to be met before doing so), or either its one of them untrustworthy schemes. All I can say is be careful in that case.
  19. That has to be funny, especially with the patience of many kids those days. Sorta reminds me of the ol 'Santa Clause' in kiddie shows... if a main character is being bad, then they get presents with coal and so on.. I didnt get to see the picture, but if it was up, I'll presume it would've been priceless.
  20. Some facts can be interesting, like the use of names in many languages and cultures. You wouldnt believe how many times that "nguyen" is used in a name in various areas of southern Brisbane (in Australia). Also at the same time the Muhhamed (sp) name is common in some areas of australia and overseas.
  21. I'm kinda satisfied with my name, which is sorta spanish for a english type name. But still at times I had thought I would've wished that my old man and mother would've gaven me a different name.Still my full name allows me to shortened nicknames, ie Arnz, Arnie (occasionally lol), Arnzo, and so on. The weird thing is that i could've been called Edwardo :S.. lol
  22. Personally never heard of it and I think it sounds like a load of bull. Even if there was one or something similar, it'll be in a similar mould of Windows 98 Third Edition (aka Windows ME)
  23. It said something about being a good pal and being thoughtful, although it said I may slip up at times. Personally I dont know about that, considering I'm a quiet guy most of the time unless if I either know em well or either start to warm to them as I get to know people better.
  24. Very nice victory by Australia last night (AEST time at the time of posting) in the World Cup, although the Ref's performance would be under question from both nations.
  25. I think that growing up and puberty also affect the taste buds, food you may have liked as a kid (obviously) may taste yuck now.. while at the same time some food that are eaten by all ages may be good then, but taste like cardboard now. Also while growing up, pretty much everything changes, including the brain as Ariqato says. The taste of sweet foods such as chocolate cake, ice cream, pancakes and to a lesser extent chocolate dishes and so on may have not changed in my experience, but while i was young I preferred the like of jelly babies, jelly beans, and plain chocolate biscuits. Those days, I prefer the likes of tim tams, maltessers, starburst and the like when I get the chance.
