Bible-in-a-year Im going to try to do this.
Plenoptic replied to tricky77puzzle's topic in General Discussion
That is a good goal to set. I once tried to read just a chapter a day but I failed at that after only a week. I hope you have better success and are able to finish it. -
You do not actually win prizes but you have to fill out offers and earn money and then they will purchase for you and ship it to your house for free but that is after you have saved up the money. I did that to purchase a forty dollar amazon gift card that I used to by Madden 08 for the Playstation. If you do a custom gift you must relate it to gaming though. They also have a lot of other sites like cash lagoon where you can earn just cash or video game lagoon and music lagoon or even cell phone lagoon. There are lots of things to earn and get after doing surveys.

The site looks OK but I would recommend creating a name and putting up a banner rather than just having the ads on top. I would recommend putting the contact form on your site itself with the same design and just have it coded for you or code it yourself so it is easier to return to the rest of the site. The games are fun but when I tried to play one the high scores never finished loading and there was no way to return back to the game page or to restart the game even.

I do not know if what I consider deja vu is even deja vu but many times I will have a conversation or go somewhere and have something happen and then a few minutes later I will reflect on what happens and I start to think that I have already gone through this once before. I do not know if it is just because I am going through the process again in my mind that I think that I have done it before or what but it is kind of odd especially when I know that it was in actuality a unique experience.

South Africa Kicking Out Immigrants
Plenoptic replied to Dagoth Nereviar's topic in General Discussion
I can see reasoning somewhat behind the need to limit the number of immigrants into the country. The United States has done it before and even had an island set up for the processing of them (Ellis Island for example) where they would either receive new names and some help or they would be turned around and sent back home. I did not read the entire article but it said that they were even attacking some legal immigrants which I think is wrong seeing as they came in "legally" but if they are only attacking them because of race or class I do not agree with it but it is their country I guess so they can run it as they choose. Hopefully the death toll stops rising and things can be brought back to order. -
If you do not wish to actually purchase a domain but can save up 280 hosting credits then you can purchase a domain for 250 hosting credits. You have to save up the 280 though because the 250 will not be deducted if it puts you under 30 hosting credits. Or for a cheap buy you can purchase your domain name from https://xisto.com/ where it only costs $7.99 for your .com domain.

This sounds pretty nice seeing as it will not be as annoying as ads that disrupt the web page and ruin the layout. It would only get in the way if you have music but I usually do not. Hopefully the ad does not slow down the site at all. I might try it, seems like an easy way to slowly earn money. If you just leave it and not check it for a while and have somewhat of a popular site then you could make quite a bit of money especially seeing as people do not have to actually click on anything for you to make the money.

I live in Florida and used to live down near that airport. It is kind of scary to think that one day you could be flying and that you might have holes in your plane on your way to land. I am guessing this is not a commercial airport but it still quite dangerous. I would not go to that airport until those snipers are found. It would be quite a shame to have your window shot out or your plane crash because of people probably thinking it is a fun game.

Coolcat50's Fractal Brushes! GIMP and Adobe Photoshop
Plenoptic replied to coolcat50's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
These are some really nice brushes, somewhat big but they work well. I could not see your preview but after reading the Read Me it says they work at least in CS2 and I can tell you that they also work in CS3, I guess that is because they are all backwards compatible. Very nice work by the way, I will probably use them in future website banners. -
I did a ten minute presentation on this same topic back in December. I remember researching all of this and the time period and how the dream really did influence Fitzgerald and his writing as portrayed in The Great Gatsby Gatsby represents the superficial class that easily attained wealth through gambling and other scandals and Wolfsheim is his agent in a way. He was seen as responsible for the Black Sox Scandal which is attributed to the person Rothstein which is similar. The Buchananons represent the aristocratic class that has a history of wealth and is less superficial. The classes intertwine and cause conflict. Carraway is there to compare them both.

That is a great deal, especially seeing as it has half the miles and gets good gas mileage. Any car around here that would be $250 probably would not run and would take more to fix than buying a good used car. Sometimes it is good to be friendly and to get to know someone because that is how deals are generally made.

Bogus Grand Theft Auto Iv Contains Trojan
Plenoptic replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I did not know the PC version was going to be out so soon I thought it would be out late in October. It is their own fault for trying to download it illegally though before it even came out. I am sure that is not what the person who put in the trojan had in mind. At first I thought this was going to say that the console games had a trojan that killed the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, that would have probably been much worse. -
Everyone has weird foods that others think is completely disgusting. Ketchup and gravy may be nasty to some but is great for others just like any food, combination or not. I do not like chocolate but most other people do. Notice I say most. Different people have different tastes whether it is food or in their significant other.

I live in Pasco county and know people who have had that substitute and have seen that trick. They all thought him as a normal person who just tried to make a connection with his students and be able to entertain them. It was his way of breaking the ice. It is rather sad the people things accuse others of. There are some real sick people in the world and I hope this man gets his job back. The other accusations were probably just a cover up because I am sure there is nothing against wizardry. This stuff seems to be heard all over the radio around here these days.

Trap17 Forums: Is It Time For A Clean Out? ...yes, if I say so...
Plenoptic replied to spyzo101's topic in General Discussion
I agree with all. If topics are deleted it would cause a huge screw up with the credits. The reason for all the forums was because things were unorganized in the first place. Large general forums had to be divided into smaller ones because topics were becoming hard to find. The forum categories are collapsible so if you don't particularly post in some categories you can collapse them to make it smaller and a little more easier on your eyes. I generally just look at thelast 30 posts anyway. -
I have received emails from Paypal asking for my information when I do not even have Paypal. I normally just ignore these or delete them. I have never heard of the emails for spoofing but most of the time the emails are listed all over on sites telling of emails and sites so as long as people check those out most of the time you will be safe. Checking who the sender is also works because most of the time there is a small difference in the domain.

Incredible Rising Gas Prices Gas Out of Control
Plenoptic replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in The Vent
Well let's see, when resources are used up it starts to cost more to purchase it, so with all of the petroleum and oil being used up by all of the countries using cars these days explains the true reason that the prices are going high. It is not because of greed but considering they are their resources and not ours then they probably want to save for themselves too. I do not like the gas prices either I am not defending them. As a family of seven and six of us being driving we feel the pains too. We try and make trips all at once or if it is not too far we will ride or walk. That is why people are looking for alternative sources of fuel because we will not be able to use gas for much longer or at least it will not be affordable. -
Coca-cola Addiction Sorts of addiction
Plenoptic replied to TheBlessedOne's topic in Health & Fitness
For the past three years I have started drinking Mountain Dew. It started off as every so often and then soon developed into a one a day and gradually rose to two and sometimes three a day depending on the amounts and how long I have been up. I did give it up once for lent which was forty days but then I was right back on. I have not really tried to stop again because I have not really wanted to but I know it is a waste of my money and will probably soon affect me health wise. I just do not want to and wish there was an easier way. Maybe this summer with school over and me back on a regular schedule I can start to slow it down to one a day and maybe one every other day and gradually knock it down. -
As previous users have stated, it will allow others searching for the same answer to see how to fix the problem if they also have it. It was previously made that topics are deleted by users after they made huge spam posts because it would allow users to keep their credits. When topics are removed now, they are not deleted right away but instead are moved until an administrator can correctly deduct credits for those participating in spam or whatever reason the topic was removed. Thus people could go about sabotaging anyone by deleting their own topic even if there were 30 replies to it thus hurting everyone severely because when topics are deleted, many more hosting credits are removed than those gained from the post originally. This is because when a topic is deleted it is automatically seen as a penalty.

SM I don't think that is the one I am thinking about but ya they are really corny. If you are in a car and get hit in the rear, you fly forward really quickly. (I would know I've been rear ended) If you are not wearing a seatbelt, your head or a passenger's head will fly forward and you could either fly out the windshield and land on the asphalt (if you have bad luck you might continue to be ran over) or if you are lucky you will stay in the car but slam your head into the dashboard and severely damage it. A player on my baseball team a few years back was in a situation in which he and his brothers and their friends were driving down the highway and they hit a tree or a pole. He was not wearing his seatbelt and so the car stopped quickly but his body kept moving and he did fly out of the windshield and flew to the ground and died instantly. Had he been wearing his seatbelt he might have whiplash and maybe some bruises like all the rest in the car who were wearing their seat belts but unfortunately he was not.

Mozilla: Firefox Plugin Shipped With Malicious Code
Plenoptic replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Security issues & Exploits
How does a trojan get into a file like that before you upload it? That kind of worries me as to how many other things we download can be infected. That also leaves an excuse for people to get out of blame. Great catch though. -
Srizbi Botnet Biggest Spammer Of All Time
Plenoptic replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Security issues & Exploits
Who would have thought Spamming could become so harmful and so wide spread. My suggestion is to never open any attachments from a person not in your address book no matter who they say it is unless you got their email personally. Many emails are questionable that people receive. Many just believe they would never be sent spam but looking at these numbers it is quite likely you will. I just hope that no one has their computer taken over by this which I am sure many already have had it happen. I wonder if there is any money benefit to this other than seeing computers crash and people get mad. Good luck finding a way to get rid of it to whoever is doing the research.
