I must admit that I haven't read this entire thread, but I shall post here anyways. I have to admit that, although I personally pride myself on proper grammer, I haven't always corrected my grammer or spelling when posting here. Although, contrary to other posts that I did read here before posting, grammer and spelling go a long way to properly explaining the proper way to correct a problem or explaining your point of view. For those of you who's primary, or native first language, isn't English, I must comend you on your grasp of the language. I personally have grown up with American English as my native tongue and have studied others, to much disappointment and failure, and have found that next to the written versions some asian and middle eastern languages, English is one of the most twisted languages in the world. Although I digress; to properly explain ones point of view, give directions on how to do something, or explain the more complicated intricacies of how to design a bit of code to do a automatic mailing of a form from a website proper grammer and spelling are a must. Without proper spelling and grammer trying to use an automated translator like the one that can be found at this LINK, supplied by google.com, will not work properly. Also trying to understand what one person means, while trying to figure out what they were trying to spell or say, can give one a headache as pointed out in another post already made here. To close, please understand that while some may think that spelling and grammer might not be important; to others its not only professional but good manners. So ends yet another rant by - Logan Deathbringer Happy Holidays, one and all....

I Cant Wait Till Ie7 Comes Out
Logan Deathbringer replied to mxweb's topic in Websites and Web Designing
here is a LINK to a definition of what phishing is. Basicly its the use of email or other forms of contact, that is used to con information out of unsuspecting people. Information that is sought can be, but is not limited to: credit card numbers, social security numbers, bank account information, and addresses. -
Also man, even if your site isn't finished you could still request hosting, put up what you have so far, then keep working on your site. In my opinion my site will never be finished, so if I had waited till it was I would never have requested my hosting, and never found that what I had in mind was basicly worthless for what I intended the site for. Although I dirgress...just get your hosting when your ready and have fun man...

Anyone Knows How To Create RSS Feeds ?
Logan Deathbringer replied to miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG's topic in Programming
PureHeart I've been looking all over the web for that information and M^E just beat me to the punch on posting here. That Link and the information that Vujsa put up answered all my questions. Thank you very much both of you and to M^E for posting the question. I can now offer the world a RSS feed of my site, of my own making and not the one that Mambo creats, or more pointedly I can modify what the Mambo RSS syndication module outputs. Thanks again... -

Logan Deathbringer replied to Killer008r's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I remember a kid I new doing this a while back...got himself suspended from school for changing the message the machine displayed to one that questioned his principles parentage...lol. Oh and you can change the price of the different vender slots but don't get caught doing it, since its concidered fraud.Fun, definetly, but like I said don't get caught doing it...and if you do it at school, make sure the message you put up doesn't point directly back at you. -

New Battery: Sheet Of Paper
Logan Deathbringer replied to darkool's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Could you post a link to a page with more information on this new 'tech? The applications for this type of battery are nearly unlimited and the implications of such a new tech are interesting, if not frightening. I must admit that I am intrigued. -

Major Website Mistakes Improve your site
Logan Deathbringer replied to BigmanB's topic in Websites and Web Designing
ok here is a big tip to experianced and inexperianced webdesigners.Get a basic website built using the KISS principle (keep it simple stupid) then make a new directory on your account. In this new directory copy your entire site. You might be asking, "why should I do this?" Here is the answer, by doing this you can modify it and screw it up without haveing to worry about downtime. This will not only allow you to make changes at will but at the same time if you make a mistake that shuts down the entire test site...well the main site is still up for your users to use and you don't have down time. It will also let you play with new ideas and what not and see how they actually work without having to subject your visitors to a purple background with pink text and thus get blinded and have a feeling of nausa..lol...sorry bad joke...Well there is my rant... -

Click here to go... there is the link have fun and let me know what ya think...thanks... Oh to view some of the site you will need to sign-up, but that is mainly for some of the Forums...

Intel 800 Series Or AMD 64 ? Which one u thik is BETTER
Logan Deathbringer replied to intelboy's topic in Hardware Workshop
the only thing that is currently holding the speed of the X2 to 1.5 times normal single core chips is the fact that act this point in time they are using the old FSB arcitecture from the single core chips to run the dual cores...when they get to the point where they are running dual FSBs to the D/X2 chips then we will see the massive speed boosts that we all want.At least thats how I've heard it and it seems true...but I could be wrong...As far as who makes the better chip...IMHO AMD has had the best chips since the T-Birds came out and they solved the inital over-heating issues they had. Since they learned from that mistake they have had the best, and most stable chips on the market as far as I'm concerened. And as for being able to overclock an Intel chip...take off the heat sink, if one is already on yours and cut/bridge the correct tracks and your good to go...just don't ask me which ones look it up for yourself...I don't want to be held responsible for creating a dead chip do to user error.... -
I would like to try something similar to the Apple IIe project with a Texas Instruments 99/A. I had one when I was younger and would love to try to update one with a newer motherboard and what not...although I would probably use a laptop system for the innards and then attach a folding screen to the top and use it like a laptop...just so people will ask questions...lol

Which Processor Is Better?
Logan Deathbringer replied to prodigy-designs's topic in Hardware Workshop
the one major question I would have before jumping on the band wagon on this one is this...is one the new X2 processor while the other is the standard 64 bit?If the lower megahertz one is the X2 it will still out perform the 1000 Mhz one do to the fact that the X2 stands for "dual core" -

Do You Run A Forum-website Forum-Website Poll
Logan Deathbringer replied to Harry1984a's topic in Websites and Web Designing
well I run a Forum that was at one time used by the members of the gaming guild that uses the website/forum I maintain and there is only one or two areas of it that can be accessed by non-guild members so it isn't really a public place so I don't think that I have to worry to much about those rulings. -

I'm definetly not much of a coder, but if I can be of any assistance I would love to help out. I might be able to help out with documentation - i.e. user manuals, production documentation, or even website management if you would like my help...I'll go register at the site and hope to be of help. -
Discussion About Blizzard Games
Logan Deathbringer replied to KonVicKt's topic in Websites and Web Designing
FYI, there is a Starcraft II game, I think it's called Ghost. Check for all Battle net games on Battle.net However, if you are expecting another strategy game, you'll be hugely disappointed: because it's a first person shooting game. From what I know, you'll be taking on the role of a "Ghost" unit - like in Starcraft to kill your enemies, use cloak, lockdown and call in for nukes... blah blah blah. I started out as a Blizzard fan, even back when Warcraft I was out. And Starcraft is truely a good game. I've played on B.net a lot, and I can beat most of the people - but the thing that really pisses me off is noobs using drop hacks when they are losing in the middle of the melee. Unfortunatly, all of B.net games are so hacked it isn't worth the time anymore and Blizzard isn't going to do anything about it. They didn't do anything about it when the game was in it's prime and they are certainly not doing anything about it now. Same with Warcraft III, the maphacks availble for that game is stunning. If there isn't a level playing field, it's not a competition anymore. It's a noobs hacking noobs competition and it just gutters the game entirely. I loved b.net and blizzard because it's free and fun, but that was a long time ago, before all the hacks existed.
