  1. This morning I had some problems with accessing my cpanel at final-design.net/cpanel too... With firefox I got 504 errors... Im not so sure that problem is at my place...
  2. well it's possible, but if you know nothing about dreamweaver I suggest you better buy some book about it. There are plenty of books, and you can even go to public library and just lease a book. Anyway, you must make a template with your design in dreamweaver, and then later on, people who will maintain website will just edit areas that you selected as "content" in Dreamweaver template. It's easy as that, but anyway, I can't give you detailed explanation here, because I don't have much time, but little googleing will do the trick also...
  3. Well, for now we have pages.google.com, a service for creating web pages. It's unusable for most of users because of heavy demand no new users can signup. Anyway that GDrive is just a logical event after Pages.google. I mean, they offer free webpage generator, so there must be a place to store that pages, right? Very soon we will have Google's hosting, that will compete with geocities and similar (oldest and first) free webhosts...
  4. I recommend to buy a book, It should do the trick, one of Oreilly series, these are the best around, but any other book related to general usage and learning of PHP would be good to. Nice place to start is also google, and just search for free php scripts directories. It's often good to find scripts that are working, and looking at their code might give you idea on how to do stuff in php.
  5. Good luck with your banner advertising there, I recently stop using their service because some problems they have, somehow, they stopped to work for some reasons (probably their server was down) and again later everything worked fine, but I must have quality service, so I stopped using them...
  6. So, is anyone interested in link-exchange with my site. I get some decent number of visitors to my site now, and some quality link exchange would do a more good If you want to link exchange with me read the rules at this post earlier in this thread, and hopefully if you fit under that terms, I'll put an link...
  7. 2 months?!? well, oh, ok... I just can0t believe that. But ok. Let's start. It's just 2 pictures, cuted out background on them, logo in the middle, and red/black blurry background width some strokes filter applied to it.It's just, hmm, sorry but it looks to me like 10-minutes-of-work-design.
  8. looks awesome. Im really impressed, as a designer. But now im in the process of choosing upgrade components for my old duron 1,5ghz.
  9. you can also use this technique, while searching:--> type into google your search terms like (without quotes):"photoshop tutorials"- you will get all the stuff toghether or separated--> now if you use minus symbol "-":"photoshop -tutorialsyou will get results related to photoshop but not tutorials(this is very usegfull if you want to limit your search to more relevant responses, you can add as many as you like minuses and keywords separated by space, and narrow your search results)--> if you use plus symbol "+":"photoshop +tutorials"you will get only separated keywords on the same page
  10. google. Just because, they give relevant results, and no forced ads. all you see is relevant and good results are given, if you naturally provide good search keyword. But you may use any other search engine, and come up with probably same search results... I think it's really not that important what search engine you use, it's more relevant to use good keyword for the things you search.
  11. usually few days, well it takes time for googlebot to get to your page and crawl it for good content.
  12. Yep, probably you have issues with power supply. Anyway check for peaks in your powergrid. Do you have some high powered devices on the same power grid/outlet?For eq. I used to have air fan for heating on the same power cord as my computer, and each time when airfan get's to high temperature it's shuts itself down and makes a peak that just, really, sends peak via powergrid and get's to computer and kinda shut's it down - because of way the ATX powersupply works. Anyway check for other devices on your computer's power cord, and unplug everything other than your computer and monitor. If shutting down happens again, then try to use some specialized power cords made for computers or hi-fi devices, they usually have some extra security like fuser and such stuff, and really are not that expencive, and will provide extra security for your computer and more stable voltage...If it shuts down again, then it's malfunction in your power supply. Anyway if you have some older extra powersupplys from old cases or such, then use that for replacing, if not - then I would recommend that you buy a whole new computer case because it's cheaper than just a power supply, and you will get a new case anyway Beaware just to use powersupply that got enough juice like 400 - 500 W powersupply, it's always good to use more than you really need, so you can upgrade your computer with new stuff, without worry's that it has enough power to handle it.Good luck!
  13. Hey, im from Croatia too Anyway, Im guessing that you understand and read croatian, take a look at my colledge's webpage, and see what they have to offer (link to my colledge). Im having just 6 more exams till my diploma if graphic design... and I must admit it's a good paying job...
  14. Ok, first of all, you can go with 2-color option. I would go with red/gold. But keep in mind that colors should not be too vivid, because it will dominate then too much and content would not get enough attention to a viewers eye. Anyway, make that top-bars in your webpage boxes red and all backgrounds gold scheme... you could do this very easy, in photoshop just mix these 2 color flatened layers and delete what you don't need... let me know if you have any questions regarding photoshop Anyway, lets take colors to side now, and look at general overview:---> you should think a way of coloring text, it would be a bit hard to read on those backgrounds... Black/white combination works best, and contrasted colors are best..---> if would be best to put this layout on center of webpage, so it's always on center regarding size of windowanyway, I hope to see this soon online, and filled with some content
  15. Yeah, those old amiga's where someting...! Back here at my place, national TV station used amigas for their video and audio productions, and even for modelling and rendering animations and effects for TV production... I think that they still use some of them...
  16. Well, really, I started with bryce too. Version 3 or 4... and I liked it very much, because of it's clarity and simplicity... But later when I wanted to make stuff more complex than just a simple objects, Bryce was no longer an option.... Anyway I use it ocasionaly for rendering some environments that later on I use in cinema or 3Dstudio. P.S. Don't stop with 3Ds max! Buy a book somewhere, you should find some books for very low amount of money, and start by following a book. I learned that way really quickly... Anyway, do you have some expirience with render farms? Well, that house model, it's not nearly finished, texture is just droped and tiled on objects, so don't consider that one done Yeah, I've heard that, and actually I managed to get my hands today on Mac OS 10.4.1, a developers DVD... And just tested it on my comp with VMware... And guess what? It works! Little slow, but Im sure that it will work prettey good on it's own hdd as really standalone installed system... Im aware of that... Windows was made in 3Ds max, with that implemented function for making windows, later on, I've realized that it look too generic, and made my own windows. you can see my later works on my deviantart page. (here) Well, I saw Blender from it's first versions, actually my brother uses it for all 3d work, but I just can't get a grip on it. Maybe later considering a fact its free. Not all stuff. Robot is made completley in Cinema. And house is modeled first in 3Dstudio and later completed in Cinema.
  17. Well, it's not bad site at all. But I must admit that grayness - it's a bit too gray color there... Im aware that it's a comics site, and comics have a general look ov black and white, but you could do much better contrasts that just gray shades. I would go with white/dark gray contrasted theme. It would boost an overall look of your page. And maybe add some colors, but not too much. Just keep this guide in mind: 2-colors = good design3 or more colors = easter egggood luck!
  18. Well, I've seen beta of IE, and it's a pure COPY of firefox. So stopIE is probably a good idea. But what to do when all those lame users who don't know anything about windows, microsoft, and mostly firefox, or even internet browsers... will never get to this. We all can try to stop microsofts lame attempts to stay on track with latest browsers, but hey, it's microsoft man! you can just shut off such large and such impactive company. They distribute software all over the world, there would be zilions of computers with preinstalled windows and - IE on them. People who will use it, and don't bother with it while it's working ok. Anyway, it's a pretty useless fight when you already know the result, but it's worth of trying.
  19. I would go with AVAST antivirus. Im using it at my office, and it serves my computers great for last 1,5 years, really no trouble with Avast. Program updates itself, with newest virus definitions every 3 hours, and I had no problems with viruses of any kind so far...
  20. because. Anywhere, here at Xisto it's supported, as many other stuff. MANY.
  21. These are some of models that I made In past few months. Comment them if you like, you may find some more models at my deviantart page (here) or you may visit my homepage (link is in my signature) and find there more 3d stuff under wallpapers... Anyway, as for the modelling job, all was done in cinema, but some parts where modelled in 3dstudio and then imported into cinema 4d. enjoy: I hope you like my modelling...
