You can download it from here:http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html It will probably work on all linux distributions... just search for your distribution on download pages of openoffice.org. good luck! -
nice concept. But I saw at my colledge many people finishes the colledge without basic understanding of computer peripherals and how to connect them - and the best thing is that my colledge is all about computers, based on three courses we have:informatic managemente-bussinessdesign...and student could choose it's course and finish it, but many of them finishes without basic understandig of computers.... so, education isn't perfect always, it's the student itself who must try to educate himself as much as possible, so later he can benefit from that...

I think you are allowed to do that. But check with M^E or Opaque... or read the T.O.S. - you should be able to find it easily here on forums...

Help: Good Studio Printer & Stuffs Required For Importance
finaldesign1405241487 replied to XIII's topic in Hardware Workshop
You better decide how much money you will spend on this. Because this can be highly expencive Anyway, for digital photo camera, I would get Olympus E-500 SLR series. They are excellent for studio environments, have pretty good lenses in bulk with them. It also have 8.0 megapixel CCD, which in combination with good lenses can give really extra-good results. The price of Olympus E-500 with lenses, fully loaded (batteries, batt.charger,) is about $800 - $900. Then for that studio printer you ask, the model to choose and prices is too wide for writing here... You must specify some requirements, for example, the format of printing, resolution you demand, and such stuff... Anyway if you would like to go in digital printing bussiness VersaCamm from Roland corp. is pretty good choice, but it's price will probably scare you off So, Im guessing you need an office-like printer for use of only match-print's of your varius designs... For that purpose the best buy choice would be some Color LaserJet model from HP. I would choose HP Color LaserJet 3550 Printer series - this is an awesome printer, it print A4 format paper, from 60 to 230 g/m2 thick papers... Im talking here from my own experience, I own this printer and it's really good choice. It has network support also, with Jet-Link technology, it's pretty easy to install, just by following the instructions from the box. And the price is just something about $600, which is way lower than the camera above Well, good luck with your studio! -

It's too tricky. I think that you can just cheat or trick people who have absolutely no clue what they are paying for. -
Apache Query: Requirements To Run Own Web-Server?
finaldesign1405241487 replied to sandeep1405241520's topic in Software
try to start with some free packadges for starting your own webserver. XAMPP is a very good one, and pretty simple to configure, works with WinXP. I have it on my maschine, just for testing purposes. You can download it for free, just google for term "xampp". Installation process is simple, just follow the onscreen instructions, if you get in trouble, feel free to ask here on forums, someone will jump-in to help... Anyway, when you finish with installation, if you followed the rules and instructions, you will have XAMPP installed on your computer in folder: c:\Program Files\XAMPP\ Now browse in folder inside XAMPP called htdocs Now that's the place you put your website stuff, index.html and others -
Well, yes, I considered that. But, I must disagree on that. Someone like it, someone don't... Anyhow, If an user is on DESIGN tab, and then browse further more in selected tab, he is still in that area of web-site, so the link must remain there if he wishes to go back on front page easily. (but there is an bug, I still must implement in tab some more functions so it remains selected if you browse more in same "tab area") anyway, thanks for reviewing it. please let me know if you find any more bugs or if you have any other comment on it

There is that OpenOffice - it's free and it has all the tools like Microsoft Office. Runs on linux and windows too, and the best part it's 99% compatible with MS Office. -
As I run this website for more than a 1 year now, Im getting more and more visitors, I have a feeling that navigation on my page isn't such great as it seems on the beggining. I tried to navigate like first-time user, and have trouble finding information that I was looking for. So, I have an idea, to integrate basic types of information on 4 main TABs at the top of page. Look at the two pictures and tell me which one is better: the one with the tabs, or the one without. The above picture is new version, with tabs... The above picture is current look of page... If you like the one with the tabs, please tell me how did you like it? If you don't like them, then please give me your opinion why it's bad?

Brainbench.com is an old company that gives their registered users a chance to apply for online certificates. Actually, you signup with them, and then choose your areas of expertise, then plan and take a test in skills that you want. Their tests include many areas: The testing process (when you answer the questions to get certificate) is taken online, it works this way: you get 40 questions, one by one, you have 3 minutes to answer 1 question. You canno't get back to the question you just answered and change your mind. Only 1 question is correct while other 4 are distracters. Also there is no negative points if you answer wrong. Certificate looks like this: It cost's about $14 to get one by mail home. Certificate is then valid in many countries and it's recognized by Fortune 500 companies. Oh, and finally hurry up, because all of this tests are free until Bench Games II are over. Bench Games lasts until May 31, 2006! P.S. Yesterday I taken 4 tests and get myself certificate from: CorelDRAW 9.0, Quark XPress 4, Adobe Photoshop CS, MS Office 2003 Fundamentals. And I plan to take more tests to be recognized as really skilled Graphic Designer. Also, certificates are for real, my brother earned and get at home one certificate, while ago, when Brainbench where sending them for free. Good luck, and if you sign up with them, post your opinions, and what certificates you earned!

How To Get Your Site Indexed By Google? google search
finaldesign1405241487 replied to HellFire121's topic in Search Engines
Meta tags are really simple stuff. It's a description tag that you put inside <head> tag of your html webpage, that have information about current page. Or to simplify this look at the current code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN""http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ webpage</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1250" /> <meta name="description" content="it's a site about me..." /> <meta name="keywords" content="my name, design, graphic design" /> So, what are you looking at now? It's a beginning of every web page... you begin html webpage with <html> tag, then a <title> tag follows, and after that, you can put metadata, such as content-type, description and keywords. A good explanation of meta tags can be read at this pages: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ https://searchenginewatch.com/sew/how-to/2067564/how-to-use-html-meta-tags and if you didn't find out what you looking for you can search google with keywords: "meta tags explained" (click to search with current keywords) -

I wonder... If upgrading really can be done in my place... I've completley modified wordpress 1.5 to something completley suited to my own needs... but when it comes to upgrading to new version, I think it will not be compatible... Maybe it's time for me to test it out on local computer with webserver and see how it goes, before I screwup my online version....

yea, give us some more details on it, so I can really see, why Xisto is the best...
