well, Vista is currently bogging down my Battlefield 2142 (on RC 2, it had some major memory leak), I hope it's fixed on RTM which I have now, I'll test 2142 later this week. I disagree, the Battlefield series died on me on Windows 2000, it locks my system up completely. If you want pure stability, play it on Windows 2003 xboxrulz

I think it's best to reinstall your machine.xboxrulz -
I beg to differ. As a beta tester, I haven't ran into major problems. Aside from speed issues, I only had 2 programs that didn't work with Windows Vista. These were:The GIMPHK2BN (Hong Kong Broadband phone service)xboxrulz

Here's the prob Alegis, PunkBuster doesn't support Windows Vista :@ and here's a disclaimer: to run Windows Vista without lag, you need 1GB of RAM. Even with Aero disabled you need at least 512 MB RAM to run the core smoothly (then ur apps will lag). I have 1 GB of RAM and my computer is using more than 50% of RAM with only small apps on like Windows Media Player, Firefox, Windows Live Messenger and Skype. It SHOULD NOT go over the 50% mark. EDIT: Although Windows Vista is definitely ready, my computer isn't ready to handle it's memory intensive operating system, I'm degrading it back to current gen. xboxrulz

Well, Apple didn't really release much about 10.5 except that it has Time Machine, Spaces and a full 64-bit architecture support (which I'm excited for). O and XCode 3.0xboxrulz -
I have a Pentium 4 (Northwood) 2533 MHz processor with 1GB of RAM, it's slower than both Linux and Windows XP, so I don't know about freaking fast. It's slower, but its still working fine. Not a major problem. Right now I'm going to test it with my games. First up, my favourite, Battlefield 2142. xboxrulz

Prefer Windows Or Linux/Unix OS?
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to Aka_Bar's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I supported Linux since 4 years ago, love it even now. However, I was forced to go back to Windows because it wasn't feasible for me to keep the dual booting, used up too much space. I had to abandon Linux natively, I might run it on VMWare later.TOPIC MOVED TO APPROPRIATE AREA.xboxrulz -
I'm going to pop in RC 2 into my machine later, I forgot to download it off the Microsoft server earlier, so now I'm waiting for the torrent to finish >.<. (It's still legit since I got the legit serial number). Anyways, I have concluded that RC1 is very stable (stable enough that I replaced Windows 2003/XP for it, even Linux) ... slow, but stable. I had only one crash due to a NVIDIA driver faulty in RC1 resulting in a BSoD when I overloaded the system.xboxrulz

It could've just been his RAM having some trouble with Windows Vista. I had that problem with my Buffalo RAM, I swapped in some new Kingston RAM and it works better.Another possibility could be his mobo doesn't work well with Vista.lol, yes we have Alegis, we've technically wrote all the good and bad sides to Vista here.xboxrulz

Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000
xboxrulz1405241485 posted a topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey all I have a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000, but it doesn't work. This is what PCBSD 1.0 RC 2 said: Yet my partially working Logitech USB mouse (old) works, PCBSD says: It detects the Microsoft mouse, but it doesn't work. Please HELP! EDIT: I also read this post on the FreeBSD list: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ but I don't know how to do that in the installer and here: Quote source: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I don't know how to do that either on the installer. gnutux -

meh, I loved the movie, it did tell a "life story" and talk about environmentalism and self sacrifice. However, I do see your point about merchandise. I already got the Happy Feet Soundtrack, a Happy Feet wallpaper for my computer and a Happy Feet cellphone chain.xboxrulz
