One thing you must know when jumping to Linux is, do I want to abandon how Microsoft Windows does things and am I willing to learn how to use Linux?If no, then drop Linux, you will regret running it.There hasn't been a Linux distribution for Windows user to just drop it because they claim that it's not easy to use.Also, there's no native way to run Windows binary on Linux, just the same as is it possible to run Windows binary natively on MacOS X. (However, some MacOS X software can run on Linux and vice versa, but requires recompilation).xboxrulz

It's very simple, just drag and drop them in /usr/X11R6/. There should be a fonts folder in there, then log out and log back in.It's a lot easier on KDE btw.xboxrulz

Ya, Windows has this really odd deal about not including SATA drivers into its operating system. This is where Windows Vista comes in, it includes the SATA drivers.Try to get an IDE floppy drive, they are cheap now-a-days.Too bad they never put boot sectors into USB keys.xboxrulz

Although my system has a Maxtor and Western Digital HDD, I still choose Seagate, because the computers at school uses them and so does my XBOX 360 and they never give any problems.My Maxtor is crap (had to send to warranty a couple times), and I never really liked my WD HDD.xboxrulz

true, but it included some important security aspects which I would rather run Windows Vista than Windows XP.Like I can still run standard user and install/remove software by entering a password so that I don't need to constantly be on an admin account and/or I don't need to keep logging into another account to do system-wide changes.M$ is smart on copying UNIX for this.xboxrulz
