Symantec: Windows Is Most Secure Os
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in Websites and Web Designing
That's true, fewer patches may actually mean less holes are being patched. Symantec should've said they found the least holes in Windows than any other operating system xboxrulz -
Happy Feet! on DVD/HD-DVD/BD-ROM
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Sorry guys and gals for typing BD-ROM instead of BD. It just looked funny by just saying BD instead of BD-ROM. As WeaponX and ethergeek had clearified, BD/BD-ROM means the Bluray. As for the HD-DVD, it is currently in direct competition with Bluray. The special thing about HD-DVD for Happy Feet is that it's completely backwards compatible with your standard DVD player! It's a hybrid disc. xboxrulz -

I rarely need to constantly reinstall Linux, except for the kernel which I constantly upgrade since I get to use the new optimizations it comes out with each release. xboxrulz -
The award-winning Happy Feet movie are now on the disc format of your choice! It comes on DVD/HD-DVD and BD-ROM! Even better! The HD-DVD version is actually a DVD/HD-DVD hybrid with more extras than on the DVD and BD version! Go Mumble ! xboxrulz

Note: when I said ALL programs, it also means that you might have to run it under compatibility mode as some will require it, like those recent games designed for specifically for Windows XP. For example, Battlefield 2142.xboxrulz

Symantec: Windows Is Most Secure Os

I know that the Linux kernel is patched up every few days to every few weeks, there's definitely new releases every once and a while. You usually never see that on Windows because Microsoft is doing this as a business and they wouldn't want to release a new OS every couple of weeks, that's going to ruin their profits and etc.xboxrulz -

True, but those on Linux are just to make sure it runs smoothly and some are to actually fix holes. Microsoft always releases patches now, especially with Windows Vista. Everyday, I see a new patch. xboxrulz -
No one announced that, nor did anyone tell us. Even a moderator myself, I didn't know that :S, man, I need to go read those letters piling in my inbox :S.xboxrulz

Newer Cpus, Are They Overkill?
xboxrulz1405241485 replied to SilverFox1405241541's topic in Hardware Workshop
That's exactly why the new Intel Core series DO NOT emphasize in speed, instead, it emphasize on multi-core and energy saving. Same goes with the new Athlon 64s. Also, Microsoft, IBM and ATI solved the bottlenecking issue with the XBOX 360. You should read it up here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ xboxrulz -
I haven't gotten a Blue Screen of Death in years. Even my XBOX 360 never gotten any errors. No Ring of Death there either.xboxrulz

1.) True, however, Macs have their own up sides to it. It is open-sourced and UNIX based, so it would be great for those libraries who are still running UNIX. 2.) True, however, admins can still change a lot of operating system files. Sadly, most Windows users are running on admin accounts. 3.) lol, good argument. Even though, I love Macs, I have to say that it's a flaw. xboxrulz

Have you ever used a text editor called "nano" in Macs? It's the exact same thing as Notepad where you can edit things in the system. Anyways, I've seen a lot of schools considering changing to Linux and Mac. Furthermore, there IS a smaller Mac. It's called Mac Mini. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (Canadian Store) xboxrulz
