i'm wanting to upgrade my Video Card on my Desk PC.. here's the spec: P4 755 3.2GHz 2GB RAM (2x1GB) Dual Channel 640GB SATA HDD with a GEFORCE 7300GS 256MB now i'm looking at these two: 1) Geforce 7600GT 256MB http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers 2) Geforece 7950GT 256MB http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/components/video-cards/pciexpress both around 30 NZD (~ 23 USD) i mostly play Warcraft III and and Far Cry, i'm also interested in trying out Crysis (may be at low settings my machine can handle it) and some other titles... what are your thoughts? cheers

just curious if anyone tried running any Apple OS on Virtual Machine? in specific VirtualBox? I know Apple only created it's OS to run only on Apple hardwares but would be awesome if one can run on Virtual Machines for testing and fiddling around

haha very annoying sometimes when you're so use to working on a program with just one window.. and with graphics one would prefer the window maximized.... i think Gimp devs should use tabs instead of separate windows or just have an option where on can either attach the tool/layer windows to the main windows (and work like Photoshop) or float them like default, but tabs would be another alternative i guess the Gimp devs just wanted Gimp to be a bit different from Photoshop

does anyone here uses Gimp? i wanna set my gimp so the layers and tool box is attached to the main window... at the moment they are floating on the side as separate windows which is quite annoying when shifting from window to window if i wanna select stuff...

that's a very premature conclusion, considering google+ is a hatch-ling tool, give it time and it will slowly gain popularity... i think google+ will gain its' share of users, considering there's a great number of gmail customers... with simplicity of the gmail email interface and layout... i'm sure google applies the same to it's social network system google+... facebook is dominating social network for sure for now!

really depends on usage, and preference... some may consider one better than the other, but the truth is most of these AVs are great... i've never used NOD32, i would recommend for a standard pc user at home to use AVAST Home Edition, (or AVG)

in your opinion... in my opinion (or experience to be more precise) Avast is the best, but that's also because i've been using it for the past few years and have been pretty happy with it and i always recommend it to friends and people i come across...

what do you mean many of the firewalls don't support x64? are you talking about commercial or free ones? i'm sure most paid (if not all) have support for x64 platforms...

i'm wanting to set write/access privileges to my home folder to root only, would this affect how programs use my home folder? i know quite a lot of programs use cache and needed folders which usually situates at my home folder...
