  1. no need for another forum yet... not enough active posts and topics to require a forum on its own
  2. been with cPanel since day one, and so use to it... not that i actually use it much! but zPanel sounds like a good alternative for webhostings
  3. yes following up on my hunt, i manage to install comodo which is an awesome tool... it also comes with an AV as well... i'm not sure if the AV cost or not...
  4. welcome lominatorasol, hope you enjoy you're stay... staying active is another way of giving back to the forum and astahosts' service
  5. https://www.engadget.com/2011/10/05/grid10-review/ the idea of having one panel free floating icons on it is quite cool... but seems like the OS isn't really first class yet
  6. he's made an enormous impact on the technology industry... big blow to apple, i agree with above post... i don't think apple will ever be the same without him!
  7. ok...yea small screen can be a pain to get use to, but i've been using netbook for almost 3 years now... i'm so use to it, and also i use ipod and blackberry quite often, so netbook screen is quite a convenience in comparison to the 3.5" and 2.6" tinier screens and at home on my desk i still use 19" and 17" (dual) CRT monitors hehe (pretty old school)
  8. thanks yordan for the headsup... kept Gparted iso on my valuable archives
  9. yes looking into it yordan, thanks... just wanted to see if anyone else have tried it (or similar scenario)although most would be seeking an enlargement (or widening) screen solution, mine is the opposite - narrowing screen width hehe
  10. quite right! but i've always been a fan of VLC player and always recommends it to friends to be one of the first apps (including AVs and Firewalls) to be installed upon a new installation or purchase
  11. probably put more excitement icons on posts? hehe just kidding, but yes it's important that we be more realistic and up to date with our topics (if we aren't requesting help on issues) and bring out lots of new gadget topics - which to a lot of us (i think) is quite exciting and also be open with whatever you read on or come across and share... you never know how many would be excited to read through your shares hehe
  12. amazing! thanks for sharing bud Perfect, was looking for this: http://snipplr.com/view/59457/wordpress-adding-a-favicon/

I'm wanting to set Warcraft 3 (Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne) resolution to its native 4:3 size (800x600) with dark/black space on each side of screen (LCD)Game runs perfectly fine on 1024x600, i just don't like the stretched look of the game,is this possible?SPEC: Windows XP SP3Intel Mobile Chipset 945 Express1.6GHz Processor2GB RAM
  14. thanks yordan... the man! anyways Gparted is a pretty handy tool...
  15. wow... definitely a bargain, although i would love to see the performance review of the 366MHz onboard graphics CPU... supports AVI and 480x800 resolution, 256MB RAM, 2GB internal Storage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakshat if i was in India i would definitely try-out one for that price $60USD RRP
  16. cheers yordan... is there an advantage or difference between the two tho?
  17. well you're one of the lucky ones... had Vista on an ASUS gaming laptop... from day one had issues and slowness, even though the laptop was a grunt beast Windows 7 is much more reliable, although on my netbook i had to freshly install XP as 7 starter just seems to be a bit resource hungry now XP runs like a breeze on it
  18. shot yordan have got unetbootin and just downloading Gparted... i'm gonna have to do some reading to reflash my memory on primary and logical partitions
  19. cheeeers Velma greatly appreciate it
  20. Agree.... considering the amount of spams/spammers coming through recently... post and their owners should just go BYEBYE hehe and it's quite obvious from their posts their intentions
  21. thanks yordan, does gparted support USB boot? i have nothing in E or D that i need... i shifted data in both drives to C... i'm just curious because E is primary and D is logical... i'll give it a go and see ta
  22. i'm just wondering if Xisto Forum was down today? it's 7pm now in NZ, and earlier i was trying to access the site since this morng... i've just checked it about 30 minutes ago and it's back on... was it down? or was it just me not being able to get through?
  23. on my Windows XP SP3 pc i have 3 partitionsC:\ system (Primary - 40GB)D:\ data1 (Logical - 60GB)E:\ data2 (Primary - 8GB)anyone recommend me a tool (FREE ofcourse) that will allow me to merge partition D and E? i've tried easeus home edition and with it's merging option it only allows a merge between C and D or C and E i'm after a solution that will allow me not to shift/copy data around... i know on D:\ and E:\ i have nothing... but currently if i can't find a way i will reside to copying data from C into another PC before i reformat the whole Hard Disk Drivecheers
