update:ended creating USB Win XP installation media (phew)opted for USB bootup (selected text mode boot)selected Repair then opted for 1 (where Windows XP is located)typed in fixboot C: and then Ytyped in fixmbr \Device\Harddisk0 (Harddisk where Windows (C:) partition is situated) and then YDONE!!!

netbook didn't come with Windows 7 external media (DVD/CD)

I have a Netbook... which had Windows 7 and i flashed it with Windows XP and Linux... now comes a time where i want Windows 7 back on it... would acquiring another copy/media to install on the netbook but still using original Serial underneath it for fresh installation of Windows 7 be legal?The Netbook had a factory restore partition which had Win 7 but deleted it prior to Win/Linux dual installations

i always think having an indicator LED for caps and num locks is essential... although some would disagree... on my laptop there's none for either (maybe in Netbooks its fair to say not having them is part of it's portability design)although on my Laptop Windows XP has a pop-up warning saying CAPS ON/OFF and NUMLOCK ON/OFF but most of the time i never notice it

i never realize that in Windows a particular USB device can be assigned a drive letter... so what happens if one assigns all the drive letters to certain number of devices?does Windows reserve a few letters out?interesting stuff....

have had similar problem with my 500GB HDD... but in my case i didn't test anything other than just a lucky guess on a Hard-Drive issue, i grabbed a spare drive (only 60GB in size unfortunately) and it solved the problem, but this issue was obvious from startup and takes a while to load everything and run anythingmight pay to try a spare HDD although you're problem exists after start-up, i'm guessing it's a software issue... try live-booting Ubuntu or any Linux Distro from USB or CD and see if the problem persists, if so then it could most probably be RAM or some Hardware fault

i'm seeking a quick and easy way of removing Linux (and formatting the Partition to be natively window accessible) from a Dual boot drive on a netbookcurrently i'm thinking of creating a Windows XP bootable USB stick to work from itis there and alternative way to do this? or just you're opinion on an approach i should take? cheers

I was just curious about you're comment of being tired of Android Chinese hardwares???Samsung makes a lot of Android/Smart devices (if not the largest in the world) and they're Korean, HTC does make heaps of Android devices too (Taiwan)... LG (Korean) etcmost of the big guns in android device manufactures are not Chinese...

i thought a high proportion of electronic device components are Chinese made?
