If a flash intro or header is put in the right place and isn't loud and flashy it can turn a website into something great. Even something as small as a flash sideshow can do the trick. I couldn't agree more they are horrible and anyone currently doing this should have their site taken down immediately! NEVER NEVER EVER do that even if you feel you must you should never get hosting or a domain untill you are sure your site has been completed.

Install it via fantastico, it will be easier than having to setup the database etc.If you want to do it the hard way follow these steps.Login to cPanel -> MySQL Databases -> create a database named forums -> setup a database user and add it to forums -> navigate to where you placed the phpbb directory in public_html or www -> run the installer -> input database name cpanelusr_forums (replace cpanelusr with your cpanel username) -> input database username and pass (database username will start again with your cpanel username cpanelusr_dbuser remember to change cpanelusr to the name of your cpanel account) -> press next on the installer and phpbb will install -> once the installation has been completed delete the install folder from the forums directory -> your doneHope it helped

Ive been using Avast Home for a while now. On XP it can take a while to load up causing your other programs to load slower and it also uses up quite a lot RAM and CPU. However for those of you who have vista id recommend getting Avast Home because i think it runs faster and also does not slow down your system.

Also get some CSS Styles going as Times New Roman on a website really looks naff. On the bottom of the page the content box seems to drag on a bit. Im not sure if that is your intention but i would change it. You also may want to put a copyright line on the site.The Black bars which say Main Content, Links etc are lso a bit big you may want to reduce the size of them so they look a bit better.

Ive already got vista...You need a good pc to get the full potential out of it though. It's basically XP with a new GUI lots of eye candy and power tools. The layout it nice though but i hate how programs on the start menu are organised. FI your going to get vista don't get the home basic as that doesn't have the glassy black aero theme. I would suggest if your just going to use vista for work etc gete the Home Professional as you don't need a super fast PC to run it. Im running Business and its got all the features of ultimate except Games and Media Centre

Mine would be iTunes because its runs quickly whilst im doing other things otherwise it would be Windows Media Player 11. They are both great pieces of software and their sound is great - very clear.

One VERY important factor about having a domain that offers hosting. NEVER end a domain in host like ZTX-Host a reason why is because it rounds tacky. Xisto - Web Hosting for example i don't like the domain as it sounds cheap and tacky (even though its not tacky). Xisto has earned a good reputation as its name being connected to free hosting and changing this will alter that reputation possibly in a bad way. If you are serous about changing the domain name i think the forums should still have the Xisto domain but the hosting is on a separate domain name.

Also if they sent users to your site its usually the wrong users like spam bots, hackers and script kiddies. Bad idea...also the sites you see on these traffic sites no one would want to view them as the designs so bad.

it takes about an hour at most to install vista. If you have a slower system it may take longer

Ive had vista final for quite a while now. Ive found out that its just a new GUI of XP with a few new power tools and eye candy added. You need a pretty good PC to run it on especially Ultimate (which hopefully ill get sent in the next few weeks...It help to be a Microsoft Partner ) or you will find that vista may run slow and crash from time to time.

there is always a catch with free hosts. Xisto and a few others are probably the only hosts on the net who use a credits system for hosting which has no strings attached. You would probably be better off sticking with Xisto if you were ever considering moving.

I now use Microsoft Expression Web and Graphic designer as well as Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, Frontpage. I don't really use notepad for coding a website as i like to see what the site will look like whilst im coding.

It should not effect your hosting in anyway. You can set CNAME in two ways.1. Get an admin to add a CNAME setting to your account in WHM to the url you want.2. Do it from your domain control panel (not all domain providers use this so you may not have it with yours)

every server will have SQL problems at one time or another. You should try and make your site less SQL dependant though so that if the SQL server does go down you still have a site

well traps hosting is very different from any other provider. It is one of the few hosts out there that lets you host with them without banners. Alothough it may seem like a good idea to put banners on your site if your away but in true reality it just wouldnt be practial.

The whole point of Xisto' hosting is so there are never any ads on your hosting. All you need to do is make some posts and you will get a few credits. If you post before you go on holiday and make enough to keep your hosting whilst you are inactive you wont have a problem. Although it may seem like a good idea to some people it would completely change Xisto reputation of 'Free Web Hosting NO ads'. Also the amount of coding that OpaQue would have to do would be huge.

are they linked to savings account or current accounts? As im not sure that people can get current accounts if they are under 18. Alience & Lester are the only bank i think that offer current accounts to people under 16. You can use a solo card online if the store accepts PayPal.

You can use aftershave as that has alcohol in it and it will kill any bacteria on your face. The best stuff to use is some sort of antiseptic solution as it will get rid of the bacteria. Soap will also help if you wash your face once or twice a day and try to eat less fatty foods. Eating lots of fruit will also help.

The folder will be in your public_html folder not the fantastico.data folder. The directories etc will be in whatever directory you told fantastico to install phpbb in

well i am using cpanel. cpanel cant execute sql queries from cron so id need a php script that had all the data in it then set cron to run the php script at a certain time of day
