  1. I reckon that by the time the sun does finally decide to die out, then our great great great great great ............. grand children will be living on mars, possibly without knowing that the Earth even existed. Apparently, mars looks an appealing planet which is still undergoing investigations. This planet will be ideal if the sun stops burning helium, cos once the Helium's run out, it will start burning another gas, called hydrogen. This will mean that the temperature of the Earth will exceed the upper 100's, mars will be slightly cooler at the kind of temperatures we're living on now.Nice picture by the way - leave the poor guy alone We get the gist of the idea, of what it is.Thanks for sharing
  2. I'm still with the old fashioned way of life myself. What is the idea in another addition for mobile phones using which people will try and outplay other people. Mobile phones were never designed for the internet or to play computer games on, they were designed as means of communication.Personally, I feel if they want to bring stuff like this out, then they should use a gameboy or something else that was actually designed for entertainment purposes.I feel the same way about other stuff such as photography or Internet access, although I suppose even I have to admit it it's amazing how technology is changing nowadays.Sorry for being scroogey, these are my own opinions. Everyone's welcome to an opinion though
  3. wow, this should be good. I'm the kind of person who is into space exploration and stuff like that. I just hope the scientists from nasa use the moon wisely and find out the information they need on mars.It really would be good if someone actually went to visit mars in person
  4. Wow, the kind of stuff they are capable of doing nowadays is near enough unimaginable. According to the guardian link on the first post, it sounds like the scientists are working on it, ready for a launch in 2007. They will then just wait until the price is cheap then it will be included on a lot of documents, especially newspapers grasping the readers' attention. All this futuristic fantasy stuff, like harry potter moving pictures, is all coming to Earth.I can't believe it, although know its true!!
  5. Hey, i asked opaque a couple of weeks ago. He said that there's no strict limit to the amount of database you're allowed to use, but to bear in mind that all users on the site use the same database, so to be polite and allow all users to have enough space to use.Hope this helps
  6. waoah, was really surprised when I read this thread. There are quite a few of these spiders around this location, obviously not in my house but around the park, football stadium etc there are plenty of cobwebs attracting daddy longlegs.I'm another person who'd never want to eat one of these spiders, but thanks for sharing nevertheless. It's always interesting to know something that some others don't.I just kill spiders or destroy the cob webs if they annoy me anyway just like my friends and family
  7. hey, a nice little tutorial. This will definitely help with slower machines which take ages to load a simple application.Keep the tutorials coming, they're extremely helpful!
  8. Yep, I'm anti-chelsea. Unfortunately, my team is no longer in the premiership although I'm convinced they will be again in the near future!I was really surprised when I heard that chelsea were knocked out of the cup yesterday in penalties by Charlton. So yeah, I reckon they're boring. This is only my opinion though!
  9. Yep. I reckon this will be a good game. I've only really gotten back into the 2004 version this weekend as I've had a little longer to play around. Must say I forgot what I was missing. I reckon the 2007 version will be even better. I'll probably get it within a few weeks of it being out, when I will go online to battle other unreal fans!
  10. There is also another very good free antivirus around, called antivir. I've used this before with avg. I find that when you have two or more virus checkers working together there's a greater chance that the virus will be found.Hope this helps
  11. I use the free version of ad-aware and don't feel that it would be necessary to spend money on upgrading just to experience this ad-watch program. I'm not too sure what it is, but I use my google toolbar for blocking my pop-up adverts and there's another program, spybot's teapot program which runs in the background and informs me when registry entries have been edited, asks me if i accept the change. These programs are all good and I haven't yet been bombarded with viruses!
  12. Hey I study physics at college and even I have to say that It's a pretty confusing topic.Lets just simply say that without light, the life on Earth wouldn't be possible. Light is essential for plant growth as well as human growth. Without light there wouldn't be a need for time because no one would be alive to experience it.I think this must be the easiest thing to say!
  13. Personally, I feel that this may be another one of those internet scams, but yeah, if you could feed us with more information, then it may change our minds, even though I don't trust stuff like this myself.
  14. hey, thanks for the tutorial. Just tried on my firefox, it works superbly. A website which takes usually a while to load now loads in the matter of seconds, all thanks to this thread.I find firefox takes a long time to load when I first attempt to launch the application. Is this a known problem?I also experience it hogs the processor usage, although not too much compared to other applications.Thanks.
  15. I use frontpage, mainly because I'm used to the imicrosoft office package cos i use it a lot at college. I don't find any problems, apart from when dealing with tables.I've not really used dreamweaver although had a quick experiment at college. One of the assignments requires use of this program. As of yet though, front page is the best
  16. These guys were splendid with their support whilst they were moderators, so now is there chance to prove themselves as good admins, which I'm sure they will be.Good luck both! So good to have members like you on the team providing support whenever we need it or when there are general problems.Congratulations
  17. Hey. I don't think it's possible unless the DNS actually points to Xisto's name servers. I may be wrong though, but i'm sure this is how domains work.Hope this helps
  18. I agree with the person who made this thread. It just has to be the pop-ups or huge banner adverts and the text talk which is irritating. If I go on a website and see a whopping banner ad, my opinion on the website goes straight down, no matter whether it's someones personal website or a professional webhosting company. They're still adverts and ruin the quality of the site - that's my opinion anyway.
  19. Yep. Here in England, you can go to a college to study a more basic subject or retake one of your gcse's if they didn't go very well.University tends to be the place to go if you want to take a degree, if you want to be a doctor or computer worker or something high up like that.Basically, they're near enough the same thing, they're both higher up education for when you leave school.I hope this helps
  20. hmmmm, sounds to me like you've somehow messed up your hard-drive, the one with the files.Sometimes it can happen where hard-drives get old, or get infected and cannot be fixed. It may be the case that you have to go down to the shops and look into buying a new one :)I know they're expensive, but with what you've been explaining, it sounds more like you're experiencing the outcome of one of these such infections.Hope this helps.
  21. hey Amezis. That's cool.Yeah, i've been swimming in a club competitively for about the same length. Sometimes the sets get a little bit boring (usually they're okay though), but if I didn't go swimming I would be fat - swimming seems like an easy and enjoyable exercise activity to do :)I prefer swimming underwater though, that's fun!
  22. Thanks for the time taken to write this tutorial on how to use the cgi mail form function. I may use this in the near future.Up til know I've been using the php mail script as it's been a language i'm used to writing in. There is an incredible amount of functionality existant in the php language.I might try this later. It sounds like it's easy to configure/install and that not a lot of time is needed.
  23. Yep. If this tool of yours is actually genuine, why not get a domain name and use a professional free webhosting service such as Xisto?
  24. In my opinion, whenever there's a trash bin around, there is no need to dump litter all over the floor. Once in a while somebody, similar to the first poster in this topic, has to go around and clear up all of the litter that was dropped. If the litter goes in the bin, then it makes life ten times easier because the person who is dealing with the rubbish only has to take the bag out of the bin ready to be collected by the dustbin.
  25. Nope. At first i thought that the virtual host looked a rather good service, but then I looked at the small writing that said that the maximum file size limit is 100kb.This changed my impression of the site.As I said above, if someone offers something like this, you can only really host small basic text files. Not a lot else would past through the ftp or through the file manager wizard. Hope this helps
