  1. This was found in google's webmasters pages. IT explains that websites may not be updated on a regular basis, but the details of the pages will be updated when possible. I had this problem myself, just remained active, posted newer links on popular forums and within like 48 hours, google had updated my links and title. Hope this helps
  2. I use zonealarm on all computers on a network or even if they're stand-alone.I've never had any problems with zonealarm and I was first told about them from an internet technical support service from my isp when I was having connection problems. The zone alarm program me that someone was trying to connect to the computer and was therefore slowing down my connection. They advised for me to download and install a program from zonealarm, if possible, which i done. After downloading zonealarm, these problems had stopped and I'd got about 10 highly important connections blocked.I used sygate once, i didn't get on with it. I liked jetico personal firewall, used the Jetico firewall once, but now, whenever i try to load it, my computer severly crashed and shows the blue screen saying windows can't load. I just use zonealarm and windows firewall.Hopefully this helps those of you who think they should have a firewall! It's always good to have more than one if possible. Windows firewall is pretty useless, on its own, in my opinion. Thanks!
  3. Thanks all for your criticism. I keep meaning to change my forums stylesheet, but have never actually got round to it yet.The image was, indeed, made with microsoft paint :huh:The only reason i didn't include the official sporting legend images was because I didn't want to go against copyright laws or anything like that - If I were to use someone else's pictures then this would be illegal?Anyway, I will be changing all this in the near future. It's only due to the criticism that i know what to change! Thanks!
  4. Hey, thanks.I already like this site, it's not just the sound of the free webhosting that makes the site sound so spectacular, but also the friendly environment. For example, when you go on other chat sites you always get people who abuse it all and spoilt it for others.I've hosted forums in the past and experienced the abusers, so know what you're saying. Thanks for your help, just read the links, very helpful indeed.By the way, I hate living on the feeling that I've gone against the terms of the service, have also wound someone up before by asking someone if i'd gone against the rules on a regular basis. Anyhow, if a few of my posts are a little bit on the dodgy side, rules way, please let me know!Once again, thanks for the welcome, I look forward to replying to some of your threads in the future
  5. I know this sounds kind of silly, but my favourite role playing game has to be the website runescape. My friend plays this a lot, i play it a little bit to. The programmers who created this game must obviously know their stuff.I haven't got final fantasy, although looking at these posts in here, everyone seems to be mentioning about how it's a good game. I'll have to look into purchasing it in the future so I know what everyone else is talking about ;-)

    Hey All

Hello everyone. My name is Nick and I own a website called sportytalk. This is why my username is what it is!I'm into computing and look forwarding to replying to and chatting in a large variety of different forum threads!
  7. I only play the trumpet and piano nowadays. I used to play the recorder when I was very young, but gave up when it was starting to irritate me.I love the trumpet; the piano is getting a bit hard for my liking now though :huh:Still, as I always say, practice makes perfect!
  8. I don't use any of these, although I'd say the winzip would be better for the standard person. I find that winrar can be confusing at times, then there's the cost. Some versions of winzip contain an unlicensed version too, or at least they used to. Nowadays, I don't use any of these zippers, I use an alternative which is on the freeware license. It's a program called 'izarc'. I would recommend it to anyone asking for a decent zipper. You can even unzip rar files too! If you would like to install this izarc program, here is a izarc arc page on tucows, a well known downloading site consisting of trial and freeware applications and games. http://www.tucows.com/preview/335168 - This link should take you straight to the page containing extra information about izarc and a download link. I hope this comes in handy for someone :-)
  9. I designed the site and done all the images (yep, i know they're not very good :PI'm really pleased with it all. My first domain and I feel it looks somewhat professional.Any constructive criticism would be very welcome - It's only by criticism that I can ensure that all viewers of the site enjoy it.By the way, for those of you who are becoming rather curious and wondering what the website is about, it's a sport discussion forum site. It doesn't have very much bandwidth, I'll probably apply for hosting here in the near future. I was referred by a friend and feel this site looks kinda professional.Anyway, hope you like my website
  10. Queen were one of the main groups i had to study in school a few years back. I must say, they're definitely on par with the beatles.I like the song "I want to break free" although Bohemian Rhapsody was another one of the songs which I had to study in detail.I still smile when these come on my town's local radio station :-)I agree with ngkid, they are, indeed, 'awesome'
  11. The only site i fully recommend using is the php manual link as mentioned above. http://php.net/manual/en/ i believe. Another site I use a lot is a php discussion site, where many coders help each other fix errors. I've used this quite a bit too in my php work. This site is called phpbuilder; http://www.phpbuilder.com/ Hope these links help :-)
  12. I've got 100 invitations to give away, all my friends have already got the gmail service, so these invitations haven't got an owner :PIf you'd like an invitation you can pm me.In order to stick with the template of this topic, I'll post in the correct format.Email Address you can be contacted by: I'd prefer pm than email for now.Number of Invites: 100Thing(s) you want in return: I'm not fussed in anything. Consider it my pleasure. I like the gmail service a lot and want all users to have a chance to try it out. It's well worth it! :huh:Any other information you might want: I don't think there's any.I look forward to sending away an invite, sportytalk.
