my custom computer is fine. . . i only get mad when the net doesnt werk. . . . and beign at university it means u gotta wait for them to fix it. . . . grrrrrrrrrrALSO my Uni Has blocked my Cpanel IP for Xisto, so i can't get to my cpanel or ftp AHHHHHHHHHHH

Joomla! to those who don't currently know, Mambo has ceised development, and in its place is the re-branded Joomla!. Its just had its first V1.0 release (yes v1.0) Anyways, jsut go round the site and have a looka round and see what it has to offer if you've used Mambo before, then it looks pretty much the same, but has lots of new fixes etc, but is easily upgraded, just consult the online help section. i'm personally going to downlaod it and have a tinker with it and try get the hang of it.

the fact is. . .for msot ppl. . . . they hav laodsa gadget and apps on their phone. . . . they use em for a few months. . . . get bored of them . . and they r only eva used again to show off to mates etc. . . . kidna pointless i think. . .yes . . ok, combining products isnt a abd idea. . . .but you cant have an mp3 playign phone with decent storage (1gig +) unles u include a large memory stick (which wud be extra to buy), or make the phone bigger for the itnernal memory.also, if ya wonder gadget phone egts damged, thenal lthe ova thigns u used it for are damaged aswell. . . .i fink its jus better having lots of products which are good at what they do, rather than one which is ok-bad at everythin

yes. . . .well i was only stating the basic point of the sig. . . . if it was called "communication area" then fair enuff, but it is bassicly there for you to show your name and about you to an extent.customization is the key to the success of online communication?. . . . what are you trying to communicate in a sig?. . . its not a website. . . . its really not anythign complicated either. . . . now i'm not saying a sig shud jus be ur name in text. . . but i'm saying u can customize without having to stick huge renders and smileys all ova ya sig.

sorry. . . but, not good.the dark blue and black is not a good combiantion, as the dark blue doesnt show up near the black.I don't have any problems with the grey but the top naviagtion gradient looks tacky, and as does the side navigation gradiant circles . .5/10jus sort out the colours and gradients and it'll be ok

also wos gonna say, posers tend to be a type of person, not a particular group of ppl. . . i.e. ppl who wear AC/DC shirts etc r labeled as dirty in the UK, pretty much.Anyone can be a poser . . . . poser is jus sum1 who shows off i guess. . . . like sum1 going slow in a drop top sports car playin music loud. . .

SM, ur sig is fine now and i have no gripe with you, its just when ppl either have sigs ONTOP of each other, is when it becomes a pain in the *bottom*. Side by side is fine becoz that doesnt mean ur having tos croll more, jus means a little bit of wiating times for low conection ppl.bassicly a point is, there shud be some rules so it doesnt happen. . . .so new ppl dont come on and have huge sigs etc.jus a suggestion to opaque maybe. . . like so many pixels total width, total height +how many line sof text.

Don't bother playign offline. . its pretty awful.Online thou its great and has some really great maps.There are problems with usual retards who ruin games of this nature, the skins and skins are a bit blury, but the player models are really well made. Also all the vehciles nfor eahc side are carbon copies for balancing purposes so thats a good and bad point.Just wait for Mods such as Forgotten hope and Point of Existence, which will improve the game bassicly :ph34r:system wise. . . you will need a highend rig to run it well on full settings.

very true. . . creating a good looking sig which represents who you are with a size limtie would be a nice challenge, rather than the usual large renders, brush work and one tone colour, which tend to get really boring (no offense to those who love them)

yeah, like people said, the main gripe is the i-fram alignment issue.seems to be that you have it positioned at an exact position on a page (pixel wise)and the rest of the graphic are just aligned using %, so you will get problems if the screen resolution isnt exactly the same for which he amde the site with/for.The graphics are clean and tidy, altho not overly great, they are techy, but the whole site seems kinda bland in my opinion, probably jsu down to tastes tho, sicne alot of ppl have said it looks good.i dont like the red in the "header" and i dont like the navigation. if everything was positioned properly then maybe..., . . Maybe you could center everything except the navigation, and have that aligned to the left, with maybe some trendy graphic to back it up.i also love the random "360" in the corner gives the site a touch of class i fink.

not bad :ph34r:I use MG2 aswell, so you've made a good choice there :Djust maybe you use another theme and change the colours to hopw u have them now maybe. just theose current "folder" icons arnt exactly the best, and dont change when mouse rollover so i didnt even know if it was an actual link.great photos too

sorry, you were jsut the alst example i had seen. nothing personal Its just the actual point and meaning of a "sig" has changed. . . soon ppl will be putting Advert banners in and maybe even a whole website in its own right! saw it on a forum i used to be one and highjacked it, although u can easily find it in google. . . . i added the "hater of enoying gifs. . gifs burn in hell bit" . . . ialso hate enoying flashy gifs, but this one jus pissed me off for sum1 who had 4 of them in their sig . . .

now. . . this might jsut be a personal pet hate, or could be soemthign lots of ppl are pissed about. bassiclly, what gets me is members on forums who have what i call "spam sigs" You don't have to go far in this forum to see a load, and even some moderator such as saint michael cram their sig full of "crap" now don't get me wrong. . . . sigs in forums are fine and good idea, BUT the actual meaning of a sig is just like a signature at the bottom of a letter, so like your name, a quote, a link or two or in all cases nearlly, a peice of graphic displaying your name. Now that is the idea but there does become a point where its jsut spam which ruins clean forum viewing. i can see some contraditions in trap 17s policies, now SPAM is a big NO NO, which is perfectly fair and i obviously agree, BUT does it make a difference if sum1 spams in a post, or spams their Signature space, which occures everytime a person posts. (example sig below) - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Quote bout something GET FIRE FOX ! SAY NO TO IE! (link) (link) (finsihed sig) now thats pretty much as bad as they get. . . but seriosuly. . . why not impose a 300 pixel height limit of graphix (total of all graphix) and so many lines of Text. I mean if people want to show off art then add it to their website and let people view it there or add it to the new Xisto Gallery system. . . the forums are not a gallery so don't flood it with spam sigs rant over. .

i'm currently using SKYPE, those of you using VOIP probably know what i'm tlaking about.Its free to get and call other people with skype.You can call normal phone landlines, but its not cheap.and people can call your Skype from a landline (and possibly mobile) , but that service costs 30 euros a year, which isnt too bad i guess.I'm using Skype due to beign at UNI and the phone being currently broken, and the payphone downstairs in the hall doesnt exactly have privacy.i reccommend it

Like previously stated, i would go with mambo, WHICH is now beign developed under the name Joomla! I just whish Fantastico would upsate and add Joomla to the list. but anywyas. . . yeh, mambo is the way to go, if you want tod esign your own tmeplate however you will need a god knowledge of PHP (my udnerstandign is)

thankx for the help biscuitrat.But i've deceided to go for some graphic changes.and also try and create my site around the new Joomla! CMS.Doing this will mean i can publish articles, news etc alot faster.It will take longer to get sorted but i believe it'll be worth it, if i cna get it soryted. . .

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (it is a trap site) At the bottom of the page it has news and details about the release so it tells you what works and what is comming and when. I know there are a few thigns i need to get sorted in the gallery, and Firefox doesn't want to laod the background of my site, even though i would have thought the simple CSS of background image would be fine. I cna however solve this issue by sticking the CSS style at the top of every page, opposed to having it as an external file, which is a pain in the *bottom*. firefox also renders the gallery wrong as well. . . . and don't get mention validation. . . . i really don't know much about it and don't understand what i've done wrong etc. BUT, if anyone lives in Europe you can visit the store and buy some stuff, as thats all ready to go enjoy

Damn nice style.I love it.all i gotta say is that even though artisticly its very nice, it does some what sacrafice the readability of the site in places.but still, very nice.6/10 for the site, great darka nd grungey artwork, nice layout, not too much to look at and a tad too dark.

mmmmm not bad i suppose.i wudnt really clal it a great website. . . considering its jus a peice of fireworks graphics, which has been cut up and the html generated, with no other pages made by urself. Just links to thirdparty sites, like guestbooks, profiles pages galleries etc.the graphics arnt bad tho
