First Trap17 Site No pages, but layouts there
Goosestaf replied to Joshua's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Rite ok then :)now. . . lets start on the new one.first impressions: Vastly improved graphics and style :DGraphix - 4/10 more interesting than ur other site, and i prefer the buttons, although they could be a bit more visible by creating a stroke or something. The header grpahix look nicer too :)Layout - 3/10 mmmmmm again its quite a simpel layout, but is improved by the new graphics the smaller text and differernt font is good too :PContent - 6/10 Well i assume ur still creating pages and moving content from ur old site so i'll assume it'll all be the same.Errors - no major errors that i can see, but something i think wud look better is that if you changed the white block to the left of naviagtion to the same grey as your main cotnent background, then'it'll flow nicely :)i would give this site an improved 5/10, -
Biskie's Newest Template Vectorized
Goosestaf replied to biscuitrat's topic in Websites and Web Designing
very nice.I like the graphics, layout and style, but one thing which bothers me. . . . is why isn't it centered.I personally think it would look alot better centered. Just seems weird that little bit off form the left. -
Website No No's Things a GOOD website SHOULDNT have
Goosestaf replied to icylady101's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I totatlly agree with the animated images. . . too many can be too much. . . but if its a tacky animated gifs, liek the ones found here Animation factory ( i.e. SATANS TEMPLE), i just run as fast as i can from the site. Most common around ppl new to webdesign, who loo kat these free animated gifs and think "oooo that animated image wud be great for my site, it looks professional becoz it moves. . . . but i dotn hav a reason for it. . . never mind! I'll stick it on on the bottom!" -
First Trap17 Site No pages, but layouts there
Goosestaf replied to Joshua's topic in Websites and Web Designing
mmmm rite. . . well i wud give it 4/10 in total.Graphix - 2/10 simpyl coz its all quite plane and boring, and u have some tacky animated gifs in there aswell ( a personal pet hate). The graphics cud be alot better.Layout - 3/10 again quite simply coz its plain and unimaginative. Text Nav at the left content donw the right. . . *yawn*. It wudnt be so bad if ya had some good graphics to compliment the layout.Content - 6/10 This is where u do well You've spent time adding lots of content which is great. although i don't personaly find it interesting (religion isn't my thing). You also have alot of features and such, but its all bravenet, which isnt intergrated into the "style" of your site. (another pet hate of mine)Errors - a couple of graphical errors. . . the home header has a gap between the left top and the "bible baseball and more" header graphic. And the bottom of the naviagtion isnt wide enough.Don't take my words harshly, i rate sites all on the same level. I cna see ur a begginer to this, so well done for your effort -
Does anyone here have a song PSP? I don't, but just wondering what theyre like to have. it's been very popular everywhere its been sold and eveywhere i've seen (the UK) its been sold out. BBC article

[::kubi::] Vs [::biscuitrat::] When will the madness stop??
Goosestaf replied to Kubi's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
2:8 BiskitBoth are pretty damn kool and have ncie brush work. Kubi's has better brush work, but the colour is a tad too dull for my liking. -

Xenon Hack: 5/10Basic, but not bad. The header graphic is very neet ant tidy but the rest of the template/design is a bit boring.Simple Red:2/10Horrible. The header is hard to see and tacky. The red background isa bit too bright and boring. and the rest of the site is just boring. . . sorryMario Cart:4/10Not bad design. The use of the mario cart renders is quite effective and i like the font used alot. But otherwise, the site layout/design is borign again.Sony:7/10By far the best design. The header graphic is ok and the text postioning is a ncie effect. (the only thing i can say is that it looks like SONVACCESS as the tail on the Y in sony is hacked off) The rounded borders are nice too.Revolution:2/10mmmmm very plaini know ur new to this all so don't take my words too heart. I review everyone with the same attitude. BUT i can see your improving, sicne your first designs/attempts. The sony one you made is quite good and pleasing to the eye. So well done for your attempts. i'm sure as you get more confident in Photoshop (or what ever you used) you will create better templates.

What You Like? What would you like to see...
Goosestaf replied to tuddy's topic in Science and Technology
I would like to see lots of stuff invented . . . some of it is way way wayyyyy off being invented (if ever)such as a form of teleportation.A useful invention would be digitally intergrated houses linked with appliance and mobile devices held by the house owner. . . . I.e being able to turn on the oven and heating as you drive home from work. Bassicly a time saver. Also energy savers such as lights which have a setting where they turn on when they sense someone is in the room.Bassicly simple stuff to make life easier. -
Cars Of The Future What will they look like, and be like?
Goosestaf replied to tuddy's topic in Science and Technology
Cars of the future will just be safer and alot more economical, and even faster Cares powered by Hydrogen Fuel cells is the next main development, not these Hybrid cars. . . . sure they are more economical but their not saving the planet. . . Its been proven that efficient deisel engined cars are more economical and cheaper than hybrid cars. Safety is another big development, with cars now adays alerting you if you drift out of a lane on a motorway (highway), and now alot of car makers are creating cars which do less damge to pedesterians at low speeds due to bonet crumple zones. Cars are always getting faster too. . . . from a comman Vaxhaul Vectra VXR reaching a top speed of 161 Mph, which is bloody fast for a Rep's car lol And not to mention the insane Buggatei Verylon with 1000BHP and lets hope the germans and americans learn the true definition of Luxary, the Americans learn how to make a car corner and be more efficinet. . . . Ignoring the middle eastern brands. . . as there good at what they do. . . making cheap S**ty cars for ppl who dont care what they drive. -
Graphics - the graphics and such are very nice and tidy. but since its a theme and you havent really added anythign to it except ur name "Swat", and the flashing text, (which isnt done in flash like ppl keep saying) so pretty much, well done on selecting a nice theme but 2/10 for lack of creativity.Layout - Again its a basic PHP-nuke layout with nothing special about it. The Navigation on the left isn't easy to naviagte as its bassicly a long block of text links.Content - You've installed some modules so again, more to do with php-nuke. I'm not sure if i found much unique content, not generated from a module.overall. . . . 3/10 . . . and the only reason thats a 3 and not a 1 or 2 is because u've installed some modules and changed the header graphic a tiny bit. Otherwise theres no reason i would return to this page, to me its just like all the other ugly PHP-nuke sites out there . . . . . don't get me wrong, php-nuke can look good, but its just all the standard unessary links and such . . .

Goosestaf replied to Goosestaf's topic in Web Hosting Support
No i'm sorry, you've both mis-understood me.If you click the link in my original post you should see what i mean.I am wondering if the code for the type of adds in that link are available.I already have a custom Xisto banner in rotation, but would like to include the money earning one for Xisto aswell.. . . . . if you see what i mean. -

I'm not talkign about a simple Xisto banner, but the code for the rotating adds for Xisto. . . . any help/info would be appreciated

To Relitterate. . . Big Brother on E4 is boring. They never really do much cept *BLEEP* and laze around. The summary shows on C4 are koo.@cmatcmextraThe Basil Brush show??. . . . . . unless ur a child. . . and even if u r actually, that s**t is lame. . . really not funny. . . that little poxy fox just pisses me off. . .myabe i shud make a vent topic about crappy kids tv character
-
Might as well be honest, but i like this one.I havent watched any of the ova Big brothers, simply because its a boring concept. The only reason i've got into this one is because my girlfriend watches it, so i just started watchin it wiv her. I mean yeh, all it is is people just living in a house, doing tasks etc, but the best bit about the program is the arguing, *BLEEP*ing, and moody housemates. I mean watching Craig (gay) try it on with Anthony (straight) and fight like a married couple this year was f**kin hilarious.Character Clashes are what makjes the program watcheable. Now don't get me wrong, i only watched the summary type programs on Channel 4, not the Live shows, as they are boring. . . . p.s Anthony won

Siemans SF65 Doesn't have loads of features, but does have the basics. What it does best is look god dam good. With its flippy spinny screen its quite unique. It also has a 1.3 MP cam wiv flash. I love it. Siemans SF65 Website I recommend it if your not bothered about silly technology and features which you will get bored of fast.

Here's a teaser for the PC's hit video game Doom. One of the cast members is "The Rock" which seems to fit the roll in my opinion(I bet he's gonna do his signature wrestling moves to a monster). The teaser sorta makes me think of the first "Resident Evil" film which wasn't very accurate of the game, hopefully this one is better. I'd probably watch it anyway, The Rocks a pretty good actor and I like the storyline of Doom which was scary as hell while animated so maybe it'll be a bit scarier with a real touch. My Upcoming Site... Please review
Goosestaf replied to pilgrim_of_mini-monkeys's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Very Impressive! (the layout so far anyways)If you code the site and it looks that good when finished and fully functional then i must say its one of the best sites i've seen on trap-17.Graphiclly very clean and nice -_-Flash could enhance some of it, (the main header + top naviagtion), but it looks good without aniamtion too.Any chance of having affiliates? If so i would like to exchange buttons when my sites done. -
I need a shopping basket program to use for my new site.I need it to be free or cost very little, be easily customized and just do the basic things, i.e display an item, how item info, add to basket, pay etc.any advice on which would be good tochoose would be excellent. Experience would be koo too.I also need a free gallery to intergrate into my site. Again it has to be free, to basic things and be customizeable.thank you
-
I personally really like it :DI love the little monkey thing and the general style and image the site has. quite cute and koo, but also quite proffesional, so well done.I like the layout formatting you've chosen and especially like the pink and grey graphics for the header and footer. I also really like the little Custom Validation buttons. Its also good that it is nearlly all validated.Clear Fonts and good formatting. The only thing i don't like is the background, not the actual image but the fact it stops and goes white at the far right.Overall 7/10Nice simple design with cute graphics/style

Livejournal Or Myspace? Livejournal or Myspace?
Goosestaf replied to fillrbnny's topic in Websites and Web Designing
i would personally say Live Journal is a blog at core, and Myspace a profile site at core. Although can do each others things ok, they remain best at what i stated.Myspace is an easy to use profile site, for inderviduals, groups, bands etc.
