Single quotes or double quotes. It shouldn't matter. You just want to let PHP know that the array indices that you are attempting to retrieve are in string format.

Yeah this is a pretty crappy "feature" on Internet Explorer's part. To my knowledge, there is no other browser that purposely disables flash until the user decides to have it play. Every version of IE seems to be a step back....

I don't get why people are complaining about this... Why are you double clicking the webpage anyway? There should be no reason for you to double click something on the webpage. I actually think the answers thing is great for people who may not be as fluent in english so they can double click on words they are not familiar with. I however, have found something way more annoying than the answers.com thing. It's that god damn ContentLink. It ads links to words to random websites and if god forbid i hover over it for a moment a massively annoying div layer blocks most of the post. I understand that OpaQue needs to make money somehow to pay for this hosting, but can the ContentLink only show up on the LoFi version or something? It is driving me insane. Yes, please bring this back, I used to use this list all the time and now I feel a bit lost without it.

Chmod is a unix command that changes permissions of files. If the server that your website is on is unix you should be able to ssh into it, and chmod the file to 777. Otherwise you could use ftp to do this, or even write a php file to change the permissions of the file. For example, you could write this in a php file: <?phpchmod("verify.php",0777);?>upload it to the same directory as verify.php and run it once to change it. A php image really isn't that much different than a php file. The difference is in the headers that it outputs. For example, at the top of a php file that I want to output an image of type jpeg, I would add this header:header("Content-type: image/jpeg"); Then once you have an php image you can use GD library to draw shapes, text, and other images to the canvas to be outputted to the user.

It should be an option under mouse preferences, but the only problem is two finger right click won't work unless you have tap to click on. You can not do the two finger + left click to preform a right click like you can in OS X, it must be a two finger tap.

I was pretty sure that OpaQue wanted to remove the hosted members group all together. Since everything is going over to myCents there really is no fine line between hosted and non-hosted members. For example, what if a member used his myCents to buy a domain only? I think the only information displayed next to each member that has anything to do with your hosting is that member's myCents.

Yes as Plenoptic said, you can use Xisto to get a free domain for posting here. Just gather up enough myCents, go to your xisto control panel and purchase a domain using your myCents there. No need to go to another service.

My first question to you is what kind of macbook do you have. If you have the old type then yes! I have installed ubuntu on many early-2008 (and earlier) macbooks/macbook pros and with ubuntu 8.10 there's just an xml file you put in your hal folder to enable two finger scrolling etc... Now unfortunately my coworker has a new macbook pro (late 2008) with the new glass trackpad, and I haven't been able to get anything to work beyond a regular click. That wiki I linked too had many useful features for getting your macbook working with ubuntu perfectly.

I heard about this too. Two women were fighting over something or another (probably some toy that there was only one left and their children really wanted). So the fight got a little out of hand and both of the women's husbands' got involved. And of course both husband's had a loaded gun on them and they pulled them both out and shot each other. Now both men are dead. I hope that their children enjoy their lovely christmas present of not having a father anymore, because that was totally worth that discounted toy right? "Oh a dead husband? Just a quick status update that I heard on the news, from what I can figure out the employee was letting in small amounts of people at a time, and as a result the crowd grew enraged. They broke the doors (took them off their hinges), and pushed the employee down in a mad frenzy of trying to get into the store. It's bad enough that this happened, but the fact that the crowd violated the guards decision of only letting certain people in, and the fact that they broke their way through a locked door to get into the building, makes this whole situation even worse...

BlueInkAlchemist is trying to get html into flash dynamically, not extract text and images from flash, which is what this tool seems to do. He would need to either have flash or some other server side script parse the html and have flash load the content when the swf is played.

For those of you who don't live in america and are not aware, today was somewhat of a holiday known as black friday: It is the day after thanksgiving here and it is best known for being an amazing marketing gimmick for large retail chains. Most stores open at 5 am to be greeted by lines and lines of shoppers who have been camping outside for days waiting for the great deals. First off I'm not even sure why people go so crazy for this holiday. The deals are pretty good (I got some pretty good deals last year), but I certainty won't camp outside the front of the stores for days, yet alone care enough about them to mindlessly step on an employee while I try to look for merchandise. So on with the story... A 34-year-old employee opens the doors at a walmart in Long Island, and is trampled to death by the stampede of people trying to get their discounted merchandise. I think this is just ridiculous. There is no way that every person entering in did not notice what happened. I wish they could charge every person who ran in the store at 5am with murder. Even after the paramedics arrived and were trying to resurrect him crowds still streamed in, hardly anyone stopping. The fact that these monsters live in the same country as me sickens me. Well I'm not that familiar with ASP, but you should be able to do the same thing. Basically instead of having flash load that certain external page, have flash load an ASP page you created, which loads and parses the external page.
