1. Happy Birthday! xD

2. The problem with this is you will have the site owner clicking on his own ads, and even if there is an IP checker, there are plenty ways around this. Reseting your IP, using proxies, telling your friends to click on it, etc... The problem would be most of the clicks would be of the site owner and friends, that the companies that would have their ads on your websites would be getting ripped off from all these people clicking on their ads and then doing nothing on the actual website.Don't get me wrong, I'm not against this idea, i actually like it a lot, I just don't think it will work out for Xisto.
3. Ah!! truefusion you're a genius. Thanks so much!! Resolved my problem!
4. This topic used to always confuse me. The thought of non-existence. It was the scariest thing in the world and if you are interested in this topic, I suggest that you take a moment and read my post. The thought of dead always made me uneasy, and I felt just as you do KuBi. I used to think of the exact same thing, if the human race didn't exist what the hell would I feel and think? I thought it was impossible to not have an afterlife either. I used to spend hours in my bed just thinking what it could possibly feel like to start dying. I felt that it was probably similar to sleeping, and if thats true, you can always just wake yourself up, but a few years ago I realized a possibility. I don't know if any of you users have ever gotten up fast enough that you get dizzy and black-out, but that happens to me all the time. Usually not bad, just enough to really annoy me But one morning I got up and all i could sense was me getting really dizzy. Before I knew it, I was falling. For about half of the fall I knew I was falling but I didn't even care. It was the strangest feeling in the world. I was detached from the world and I didn't even care what was happening until I completely lost consciousness (only for about a second). Once I hit the floor I started to wake up and I realized what had happened, and also realized that in my fall I tore up my side on a metal drawer. I didn't even notice that while falling that I had landed on the corner of the drawer. Now I'm not saying I'm a genius at death or anything, but I can't imagine dying being much different. The lack of blood to your brain will slowly make it shut down and eventually feel the exact way I was feeling. Just slowly not knowing, not caring. I do believe in God, and an afterlife, but If I am wrong in my beliefs this is what I think death would be like. The thought of not existing just got a whole lot easier for me.
5. Ok I wasn't sure weather or not to put this in javascript, or CSS, but since it deals more with css, and I'm only using javascript to modify the css, I posted here. I've got a div layer who's initial CSS attributes are, overflow: hidden; height: 0; I'm making a javascript function to reveal the contents of this div layer, so I set overflow to visible. Which should change the height of the div layer to match the content of the div layer. Unfortunately, it displays the contents, but what is weird is the height is still 0 I seriously have no idea how a div layer with a height of 0 can display anything, but it does... I can set the height via javascript when setting the the overflow, but the problem with that is I have no idea what height to set it to. This div layer will be displaying different amounts of content at different times. I tried every possible css style attribute I know such as pixelHeight, clipBottom, I event tried style.bottom-style.top, but that still gave me 0. Is there anyway of fixing this? So you don't waist your time suggesting fixes that wont work: Setting the visibility to hidden instead of the overflow and the height will not work because the div layer still is the same size, causing a big empty space Having the content visible at first, then have javascript record the height in a variable, then hide it wont work because I need people without javascript to not see this div layer
6. HAhahaha See? thats what I was talking about. I don't have any siblings, but if I did, I'd probably die of embarrassment if somebody saw me
7. Ok, you need to read this topic and stop spamming this board with threads that everybody is sick of reading...
8. Even though google says its a violation of its terms of service, I think thats just an excuse. I know google is a big company, and wouldn't dare cheat members, but they probably set their system so if there is just a few clicks over the "predicted amount", your account is deleted. I'm sure that they have not payed many members the money they legitimately owe them. It's not like their mission is to get as much money out of this, I'm just saying they probably hint at their employees to close accounts probably more frequently than necessary.
9. I think google made us all feel "special" when getting a Gmail account because of how secluded (not really) they made it feel. The invite system made me fee like I was the only one with Gmail... But soon I found out exactly how many people had one Gmail was better than my ISP email which was what I was using before switching, but I couldn't help but thinking after finding out how many people used it, that I was just "conforming to the masses" I still use gmail as my primary email address, and i do like the space it provides me
10. Hay my friend and I wrote a program to turn an image into ascii art :)At least we didn't sink too low to use one someone else made... No. We slaved over a computer for hours making that
11. I agree, I see way too many topics about these consoles, but not just in Xisto. I swear, their EVERYWHERE! I've never really been into consoles myself. I bought a PS2 a while back just so I could play Grand theft auto, which is the best game ever made But seriously, I really have no interest in any of the others. I'd rather be spending my time on the internet... Hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing when I was looking at the topic title
12. Uh.. I'm not sure who you are talking to there, but both masugidsk8r and nol's scripts don't show the password anywhere in the source. In nol's script javascript doesn't contain the password anywhere, the actual page name does, so you cant access the page without genuinely knowing what it is called. masugidsk8r is all in php, so therefore the password can't be seen in the source... I must have not understood you or something because I'm SURE you knew that php cant bee seen in the source because it is compiled on the server before it is sent to your computer. o_O Bleah why am I explaining that I'm sure everybody knows that... Edit: Also you can secure all of the pages on your site with a session. no need to use hta access. Plus with php you can make the login page look however you want it to look instead of a username and password block coming down when you go to a directory that is locked...
13. I didn't really mind the first fantastic four too much, its just not my kind of movie. I'll probably rent the dvd when it comes out and watch it then.

Best Mp3 Player?

I've got the 60 gig black video ipod oooo fancy! I must say the Ipod has always been my favorite mp3 player, but probably only because I'm biased because I'm such a big apple fan Yes I must say the Ipod headphones are terrible. Besides they are really uncomfortable. I immediately bought a different pair of headphones for my Ipod when I got it.
15. heheh sounds cool, but people better be sure to do this in their own homes... I'd think sombody was crazy if I actually saw them doing that in public :)
16. Gah jimmy you stole my giving away credits for challenges idea!!!
17. Yeah I already saw it. Its pretty intense! I just can't wait until they get more streets available!
18. I must say, I'm going to go with Dogs. Cat's aren't loyal, and they hate anything to do with you. Yes I'm sure someone has a cat out there who likes to be with their owners but my experience has always been that the cat doesn't even want you in the house with them. A dog will always be with you. My dog won't even stay in a room if there is nobody in there, she always follows you into whatever room you walk into .
19. you could do that i suppose but what would be the fun in that? Besides, I think this would take up less space and in peep's sigs who already have a quite large sig want to preserve their precious space as much as possible!

Edit: So I'm guessing since no moderator ever replied this isn't going to happen?
20. I have never worked with this kind of advertising before, but I must say, it does seem like it wouldn't work nearly as well as pay-per-click! If I were to be on a website and click on an ad, I wouldn't buy something just then as you had said, I would wait until a more suitable time and wouldn't even remember about the website that directed me there.
21. Well I dont use the $session variable at all. When I make my login scripts I write my own session scripts with it. It may take longer but there is no need for sloppy coding.
