For Ubuntu my favorite one is always FireFox, installing apps is easier in windows than linux but linux gives you more professional and customizable environment, so what firefox do here is providing you tons of extensions which you need in Ubuntu, a browser with lots of extensions is a must when you are using a linux distro and firefox is a lot faster in ubuntu than linux specially in its start time which takes 3 times less to come up for the first time compared to win7 in my machine. Firefox is a lot customizable rather than any other web browser currently available, i even use it as a semi-os and i think we can expect soon to see a firefox OS with extensions as it applications. But when you are in ubuntu, don't firget Opera too, it is more lightweighted than firefox and renders images faster and with help of its opera turbo you can view pages faster. opera is not very extension friendly and you can barely find usable widgets for it but it comes with many features built in that you don't get in firefox like the Inspect Element functionality which you can get in firefox using FireBUG extension. the adblocking system in Opera is not as powerful as Adblockplus of firefox but there are some ways to use the same database ADBlockPlus uses in opera too. i've found opera to be more friendly with the new looking of gmail compared to firefox because when i open my mail using firefox the scrolling is a bit laggy and the attachement popup comes up slowly but in opera all is very fast without any lag. I haven't tested chrome in Ubuntu because i don't like it in windows either, i prefer to use opera and firefox together for getting performance and functionality and i have tested chrome in windows and it seems to be something between opera and firefox so i will still try to use FF and opera both at the same time instead of going for Chrome. @workout : don't put only a link to a browser which you are saying it is the best, put at least the name of it and say a little about the experience you had with it.

yes i agree too, installation of windows 7 is a lot easier than windows xp, on newer computers it is hard to install XP because you sometimes face the bootable disk doesn't recognizing the sata drive and so you can not find any drive to install windows on it. currently with windows 8 on its way then we all have to migrate to win 7 at least because win xp will sooner or later stop getting support and updates and this means everyone that continue using win xp will be in danger of getting hacked because no update and security fix will be available for it. but win 7 is not that bad, it is true that it has problem with some win xp apps but it has many plus sides, better looking and aero are two things that i like them in 7, visualizing problems and trying to solve some problems on itself and many other things. @ ram245545 : windows xp has mouse usage ability in its installation too, it only hadn't it in its first stage but in next stage like when you can set date and time you can use mouse. win 7 installation has more comfortable partition choosing procedure and smaller fonts (higher resolutions of installation screen) during installation. it even takes less time to install win 7 rather than windows xp, on my laptop it takes around 40 minutes to install windows xp but for win 7 it takes 20 minutes for a full installation now if you count the minutes you have to spent on installing every driver in win xp which win 7 have them by default like graphic driver, sound card and many other drivers then you will find out that installation of win xp can take more than 2 hours and this is when minimality of time in installation becomes a plus side for windows 7. now after more than 1 and a half years past from when i bought the first win 7 installation media, i should say that i found this windows to be a lot more stable than windows xp, much less hangs and better responsivity when a program hangs. i can say that i only restarted my laptop two times in this 1.5 years. i have both xp and seven in my desktop and i haven't count of my restarts in win xp of it but i know that i have restarted it more than 100 times in past two years when i was in windows xp of it. so i want to say that windows 7 now is a complete successor of windows xp and everyone can easily go for it and i think it worth the price you have to pay for getting it. and if you are a gamer then you have no other choice than win 7 with its dx11, i think microsoft has done this one purpose because i think they can release dx11 for xp but they don't do it because they know that by keeping dx11 specific for win7 they can sell lots of their win 7 medias because when first win 7 came, gamers were not satisfied with the performance of it for games, you need twice more ram in win 7 for running a game compared to win xp and so microsoft went for dx11 and this was the plan for bringing gamers to win7 , so win7 doesn't give the performance of win xp for games but if you want to get dx11 features then you need win 7 too. soon i think we should see topics with the title of win 7 or win 8 and i think it is now the time to say goodbye to windows xp and the great days we had with it and say hello to windows 8 which needs a lot of time to get into our computers.

WoW , you've just opened a died topic again, the previous post is for 2007 ! anyway you can find many articles trying to say how to make your webpage to be indexed fast and complete. Seo is really a complex thing and i still can not say that i know what seo is after 4 years of web developing. but there is some simple rules that using them will lead your page to be indexed more easily. i will give you some examples :1. if you are using a CMS then you will be able to find some extensions for it to make it more google friendly, these extensions will sometimes do something good but in most of the times they are useless. for example you can find many extensions for joomla which are able to do the gzip thing for your website for getting it to load faster but the result is slower indexing ! so what you should do if you want gzip ? very simple just get a web hosting service that supports it and then with some small lines on your .htaccess you will be able to gzip your website and then you can check the results with page speed or other optimizing checking tools. so i want to say that if you are using a cms try to do things yourself or if you want to use an extension for seo be aware of its side effects, some of them have many options and just enabling some few is enough to get a better score in optimization.2. be aware of robot.txt, this a very useful file which will make google to look everywhere except those you have specified in this file. so if you have a forum and you found that all of your calendar is indexed then it is a good thing to insert your calendar url in the robot.txt so peoples will find more useful results when they search your website and also your indexing speed will get higher. but be careful not to enter your main urls in it . also you can use this file when you don't want people to find some pages of your website in google and make them as a surprise for visitors. if you want to know what exactly this file does then take a look at wikipedia : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. find some checking tools, when you think you have done but you see that google is not indexing you soon enough then try to check your website with something. what google can give you is webmaster tools, use it and you can find how many pages are indexed and if you have mistakenly blocked some pages in your robot.txt , using this tool is a great help.4. do you have a sitemap ?! sitemap is a weird thing but useful. in webmaster tools of google you can enter sitemap of your website and i can say it is really working, give your sitemap to it and you will see how fast google will index you website. some softwares or CMSs doesn't have a sitempa by default so you need to use some extensions to build one. entering it in webmaster tool is not enough you have to check it regularly to see if it is updating correctly or not.5. seo friendly urls, this is important too. now many CMSs and forum scripts have this option to make user friendly urls for your website, using them will result in better or sometimes worse indexing result. will them make your indexing results worse ? yes, for example a forum script or software like mybb is able to give you seo friendly urls but after sometime you will recognize in google you can only see the first pages, what happened ? if a software doesn't use a good procedure of making seo friendly urls then google will find many urls to be same (this is a weird behavior of google but anyway we can not do anything about it) so sometimes you need some modifications to get it right. again i recommend to see the side effects of enabling this option in softwares before enabling it!and in the end i want to say the most important thing in getting indexed is number of the visitors, get more visitors and you will get more and more indexed even if you don't know anything about SEO.

Google talk is one of the best messengers i have ever used, and i still prefer it to any other one and here is why :1. it is just lightweight and being lightweight keeps it away from crashing and freezing, just look at yahoo messenger i have seen it crashing a lot when i open it in my computer i can be sure that it will crash during next 10 hours without any doubt and it doesn't matter which operating system i use or which computer i use i can be sure about it crashing. but google talk is something different, open it and let it be open for days and days and it will not crash do anything you want with your computer like playing games, watching movies, web surfing and nothing can make it crash. it is always open and every time you receive a message it will show you but in yahoo messenger sometimes when it is crashed already but there is no sign of its crash (you can only find out that with checking cpu usage and of course with newer computers that have dual and quad cores and 4 to 8 threads it will only take your total cpu usage up to 25%, so when you saw that 25% you should now that your messenger is crashed) you will not notify about people sending you message until you close the open one and open messenger again.2. google talk is simple, being simple is very important, having less useless functions means that you can be more sure about security and of course it doesn't slow down your computer. google talk now uses about 5MB of ram when it is open in my pc and this is just great open yahoo messenger or live messenger and they easily can get up to 200MB of you ram just in blink of an eye but gtalk is recources friendly and lets you to do anything you want without thinking about the RAM it occupies and play your games.but anyway we should remember after many years there is lot of functions lacking in gtalk :1. video call, this is really an indeed feature and many peoples need this feature in their daily messaging. google have put this feature in their mail chat section but they should put it in the gtalk too. there is a labs edition available that i thought it would have this feature but unfortunately it doesn't even have the old voice call and this is a big disadvantage of gtlak, in this section gtalk looses all of its points to other messengers like skype , yahoo messenger and windows live. i have said this many times that google have to update their messenger client before it is too late because many peoples have gone to other messenger because of video call feature. 2. emotiocns or smilies , these are indeed too i don't know why gtalk doesn't have one. gtalk labs edition comes with smiley support but it lack of voice call feature so it is again useless. i think google have to even extend their current smilies on the gtalk labs edition because they don't have enough smilies that you can find in other messengers. so gtalk is one of the smallest and still functional messengers that because of being light and simple is one of the most favorite ones for me and my friends. but it need some serious updates with video call feature and some other useful features but they should still keep it simple, so i hope we can see a new version soon.

i can't understand what you want exactly, do you mean that you are connected to internet through LAN and you want to share it with your smartphone using wifi ? if so then the process is just easy, create an AD-Hoc connection with some type of encryption in your windows 7, one great feature that comes with win7 is that you can use a shared internet and share it again (at least this is working for me know). just write click on your lan connection and choose to share it with your wireless card and in the end it is better to define ips manually for better and faster connection. set same ip range in your wireless connection and the wireless settings of your smartphone and then set a public dns (like opendns or google one) to get a successful internet access in your smartphone and you are done. there is another feature in win7 called virtual wi-fi , your adapter should support it otherwise you can not use it but you can at least give it a try because it is really amazing (some adapters like intel , broadcom , ... support this feature in their latest drivers). for getting this feature to work you need to open a command prompt window and do the following steps : netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=MyNet key=MyPassword (if you got any error please check your adapter about supporting this feature - mynet is the name you want to use for your access point and my password is the password you want to use for your access point). netsh wlan start hostednetwork (if you got any error again please check to be sure about feature being supported by your adapter - if you don't know you can email the producer of your adapter to see if they can help you). Open Control Panel and go to Network and Sharing Center --> Click Change Adapter Settings --> Right click your Internet connection and select Properties. --> Click the Sharing tab. and now share your connection for the wireless adapter (you can do the things i have said in previous way this time too but it is not recommended this time!) if you faced any problem then try to get this hotfix from microsoft, they have provided this patch for some problems after rebooting in some specific models : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hotfix/kbhotfix?kbnum=2496820&kbln=en-us by the way after doing all of this you should be able to scan and find your hotspot with your smartphone and connect to it with the username you have specified and you should also be able to use internet without any problem.

wow title says web design so when i came in this topic i were expecting reading something about how to design a web or something like that, now i assume your question is somehow related to web designing services, so if we talk about those services then you can see they reduce their price every month to be in competition with other companies, why ? because if there was a constant number of web designing companies then they can always keep their prices without any reduction but we know that everyday number of peoples try to design a web goes up , and every day there are more peoples out there wanting to make money by web designing so if they want to keep up competing then they need to reduce their prices and one reduction makes all other companies to reduce their prices.but if you talk about technology then we have another story, in technology prices keep going down because of progressing. if you look at 30 - 40 years ago you need to get thousands of peoples working for building a car now robots can do most of the process so progressing makes goods cheaper. every year we can see new CPUs coming out and the older ones get a reduction in their prices because they want to get rid of them sooner and get ready for making newer things. in CPU every year producers (intel/amd) get new knowledges about how to build more smaller transistors (remember nanometer that you hear when you buy a cpu) and so smaller cores.

Is this your theory or your question because i found every sentence ending with question mark so i'm a little confused about your theory. anyway what you have written is what some spywares does, they get into your PC and get interested information from you but i haven't seen any spyware to leave your computer in most of the times they stick to your computer till you do something about removing them otherwise they will be there, but i have seen some trojans that have built to do a specific job and after that they will delete themselves and get everything back to normal but again cleaning all of their footsteps is really a hard work because if you use a hardware data logger then every opened port and every single bit transferred from your pc to any other thing in the world will be logged and this is why it is not very easy to being unknown when you hack someone or something .I know about something called "iStealer" it is a combination of keyloggers , trojans and many other harmful softwares that are going to steal your data like passwords you enter in your browsers (they will even find those you have entered a year ago) and they will keep sending all of your important information to the author of the program using some ways like ftp , e-mail and in more professional ways like sending your data to another computer which is still a victim and then sending from it to another victim and by doing this process they will decrease the chance of getting known. anyway iStealers are known for being undetectable so they don't need to deactivate anything like firewall or antivirus they attach to something else to do what they want like an application that you have installed, they even get their required privileges from you by getting behind another trustable software and by doing this they can do everything they want and you will not find out because they seem like friendly softwares you use everyday but with a harmful thing attached to it.So author of these softwares will think about how to make their software undetectable not to make it disable antivirus and show it enabled to you or something like this because it is a lot easier to be undetectable rather than trying to force antivirus to not detect you. "You could act like a network packet. Shouldn't the OS be the only thing that knows what to do with the packet? " i can not understand what do you mean by this sentence, what do you mean by acting like a network packet ? are you getting your self in wire to see what is in someones PC ? i can't use my imagination to imagine that scene but i think if you can act like a network packet then firewall will check you to see if you are harmful or not and if you where not a harmful code then you can get into that PC other wise you will be blocked.

Is there a real and proof way to make money? Yes , why not , look around you and you will find a lot of people making money from internet , for example all websites like yahoo, google and etc have their employees and are making money (huge monies) so it is not impossible at all. of course for making money from internet you have to work for some website or you have to make your job yourself (make you own website). the first method is good for those without any money for making a good website but remember that PTC and PPC are just crap and you will not get any money from them, if you want to work for some websites i can tell you there are many websites that need authors/translators , like many online magazines so if you want to work for someone else this way is a lot better than PTC and it will give you real money. now the second method is to making your own website but remember that for making a good website you can either employ someone to design it for you or do it yourself but the second one needs lots of knowledge (learning many language + learning photoshop , etc) so if you have the time then do it yourself but if you can't spend much time on designing of the website then you have to employ someone for doing it. IF you want to make an eshop then you have to remember some important things , first your website should have something else beside main shop like a forum or blog. another important thing is that you should not sell something that people can buy from their local stores more easily and more economical than your eshop. and in the end remember that you should have something special in your shop otherwise people will not buy from you because there are many eshops out there and they will get what they want from more popular ones even if they have to pay a little more than your prices. First of all i should say open source doesn't mean free , there are tons of web scripts that are open source but you have to pay for the license. so open source developers make money too but they make their softwares open source because nowadays open source is more acceptable, because people are getting to know things more and more and soon they discovered they need to do some changes in the softwares they use and this is why now open source is getting more popular. now we should see why some peoples are making softwares for free, peoples making free open source softwares are from 2 different groups : first those who do it for fun and beside their main job and they are only doing it because they love programming second the group that are gonna make money from their softwares but in other manners rather than selling it, they have other things in their mind and they want to make money from support services they give to their customers or other services that they provide beside the open source software (like providing host and domain for a open source CMS).Now we should see why peoples are getting more and more interested in free open source, i think the answer is simple, think that you want to get a CD burner software and you don't know which one you want, you have the choice to download some DEMO commercial ones and test them but in fact most of the times DEMO softwares doesn't like as the real purchased one and you can not say whether you want that software or not because of limited functionality of the DEMO one. now you go and see a free open source like IMGBurn then you can download it and use it without any limitation, even if you find it less functional as the commercial one but because of its full functionality you will give it more try (it will be installed on your PC for more time than the commercial demo) and after spending some time and learning it you will find it adequate. so this procedure is the thing that happens when people download a free open source software and makes them like open source world more than other worlds. And about the POLL section, i think you have missed some options, the first and important one is contributing in their support section, this option is the thing that i'm currently doing for some open source softwares, as people are still not very friendly with open source they will find lots of problems during the first use, so helping them in support forums/sections/tickets is a good way of helping people to get start using an open source software. another option that you have forgotten to implement is "advertising for them" , i do this too for some softwares, i advertise for open source softwares for free in some of my websites and in one local store. and the last thing that i can say it is not in your poll is "Free Copy" , this is the way that open source operating system get to be known in some countries, the rule is very simple when you found a Disk of an free open source operating system (like ubuntu) make a copy of it and give it to a friend, i haven't done it myself but i know in some african countries this have played a great role in people knowing open source softwares and operating systems.

I have faced this problem some years ago , i have downloaded the file and i found that you have used php in some lines of it, so my first suggestion is to download the file (which it gives you as a page) then open it with a text viewer and delete php lines from it (delete javascripts too for being sure) then upload it as index.html to a temporary directory (create one) and see if you can load the page without seeing download popup. if it worked then add the javascript lines to see it still works , if it worked then add php lines and test it, if everything worked then your problem is probably not related to server. but if you add php lines and you saw the download popup it means that PHP is not currently running on the server correctly, for being sure you can use many scripts existing to test php functionality on the server. i have faced this problem some years ago and it was related to php functionality of the server, when i said to support section of my server provider about the problem , they restarted the server and installed newer version of php (this took me around 2 week because they had other customers on that server without facing such a problem like mine) and after that i tested my old website and everything were working again.I can asure you that your problem is not from browsers because i have tested your page trough page analysers and the result was failed so the problem is related to website itself. and i don't think the problem is from files because the content of the downloaded file is completely correct when i open it with easyphp and i see the title ('Welcome to Online Cheapo! Your online resource for Cheapo products and Cheapo services online!') so when browser tries to download it, it seems to be a serverside problem. you can also test you website with uploading a simple CMS (like wordpress) on a temp directory and then install it to see if it is working correctly , if it worked then it is probably your files that are making the page to be downloaded instead of being shown but if the cms didn't work too then problem is from your server without any doubt. as the copyright of page is 2009 then i van guess you haven't seen this page for 2-3 years so maybe the server you are hosting your files on is not working as well as 3 years ago anymore or they have deleted some of your files and corrupted others duo to some hard disk failure or such things.

Only *#06# and *#0000# are working in my phone (Nokia N900) and others do not, one of the most used code or key combination is Master Reset code/key combination. there are many codes out there that you can find to test but sometimes it is really hard to find a master reset code or key combination for a specific mobile phones, i remember i had a nokia E72 but i was never succeed in hard resetting it because i didn't find correct key combination, there were lots of codes like "*#7370#" and lots of key combination like hoding green and star and 3 at the same time but none of them worked for me, anyway i don't have that phone anymore but in the time i had it i was never able to do a hard reset on it. so i think for getting this topic more useful it is a good idea to put master reset code/key combination that we have tested on our nokia phones and we know it works here to help people find it faster (as this page will be in google index page within just some minutes), so i will put some that i have tested till now.First Nokia 5800 , it doesn't have any keyboard so it is easy to find out the key combination (just hold all keys you find ), hold down Green , Red , Camera button at the same time and start your phone and it will be reset hardly (if you have enabled lock code you have to enter it first). the code "*7370" will do the job too, but i found that sometimes using this code doesn't delete all data like installed apps and it just deletes my contacts and messages so i suggest you to use the key combination for a better reset. the code "*#7780#" can be used for resetting the settings of softwares and it will not delete any data like messages and contacts and if your phone is slow it will not help you.I had a nokia 5700 for half a year and i remember that codes *#7780# and *#7370# was doing the same thing as they done in 5800 but the key combination was different, for a hard reset on nokia 5700 you should hold Star , 3 (num key) , Green (Call Key) at the same time and the start the phone and the procedure is same as other phones. For nokia N900 i searched a lot but there is nearly no way of resetting this device easily , for resetting this device you need to Flash device with maemo flasher, just search google and you will find a complete manual for how to flashing your device but i will give some advices before doing it, first try to fully charge your battery because this process is not like hard resetting of other nokia phones and it takes much time, second do not flash your device when it is plugged to its charger (i haven't tested it but i have seen people doing it and killing their phones), third this process is not like other hard resetting and it takes much time and needs a PC for it so if you think your phone is slow first try to see what you have done recently to your phone because maemo doesn't get slow easily and if you have installed debian then it is normal to your phone functions a little slow.

Yes you can use live DVD/CD to boot up linux, but if you want to install linux just download them from distribution website and burn image on a disk (there is other ways too like copying the image on a flash memory but if you want to do it as fast and simple as you can just burn the image you have downloaded on a disc) and boot from it, in the boot options you will got some options for installing the distribution that you want. after choosing that option you will get some other options about choosing partition or creating one (if its the first time you install linux you need to create a linux partition, I recommend you to create one specially for linux) and other steps is just easy to follow. and remember that providing a password for admin in linux is necessary and the password should be long enough too.About above post i should say nowadays linux are more complete than windows when you just install them, now if you install ubuntu you will get lots of default apps like office , GIMP , media player and many other things that you will not get on the default installation of windows. with help of software manager and synaptic you will have the advantage of getting any software you want with just some simple clicks and everything you get through them is completely legal and you don't have to worry about the license. and for any newbie i recommend Linux MINT , it is a complete distribution with lots of multimedia compatibility and many other built in advantages.

Chocolate ice cream is better but in many cases chocolate ice creams contain vanilla too , so i recommend one that have both inside, anyway chocolate taste is a lot better than pure vanilla (this is my opinion) and i like it a lot more than just simple ice cream which in many cases is called vanilla ice cream. anyway chocolate has a lot of benefits too if you google it you will find lots of them, one of its benefits is lower risk of heart attack (which is becoming a popular dangerous thing that happens to many peoples in these days), but anyway if it didn't have any benefit again i will choose it because it is just more delicious when comes with milk.I like blue more because it is more peaceful than red, i think red is good when you talk about love and romance but in any other occasions it is a symbol of being angry or a symbol of blood, but blue is always peaceful, it is color of oceans and sky and when it comes to football team it is again a good color ! so i like it more than red. this is one of the reasons why i prefer firefox to opera because firefox icon is a fox around a blue circle (maybe earth) but opera is just a red O and so i like firefox logo more than opera. i have designed one of my websites purely in blue and it is very beautiful and i have rarely used red for designing of it but anyway don't forget that if you want to make people look at an important text you have to make it red because blue is not as bold as red when concentration comes in.Coke or pepsi ? really hard question because i think i have drink both of them same in amount, but i know that when i go to a market and i want to buy a coke or pepsi if i see both of them i will take coke first but sometimes when i have drink lots of coke in past days i will go for pepsi. anyway both are good , they are differences between their tastes but i like both of them but as i said i prefer Coke a little more than Pepsi. the color of bottle is important too! pepsi uses blue in its design more than Coke and this is an important factor because when i'm angry i will go for the blue design of pepsi but in other times Coke is more preferable. Dark chocolate because of pure taste of chocolate, it is very nice to taste pure chocolate without other things ruining its taste, finding a good dark chocolate is a hard work and it takes a lot of time, dark chocolates are a lot less sweet than white chocolates, i don't like chocolates that are very sweet so i prefer to eat dark chocolates. milk chocolates are something popular and i eat them sometimes but i have never bought them because i don't look at them as a chocolate.Hmm it is not hard to decide, actually it is very easy, Selena Gomez without a doubt, i don't know where have you found the other one but when i searched the name in google and saw the face i really don't think these two are comparable at all. anyway maybe they have played both in a tv series which i haven't saw but i really think Selena Gomez is more beautiful but i don't like her movies.

The first important thing is the game you want to choose, this is very important because many recently released games like the COD or Battle Field doesn't let you to create your own dedicated server, they only let you to play the game in multiplayer mode using their network system, for example for playing COD Black Ops you should buy the sever from their suggested website and you can not create a dedicated game server for your own because the game just doesn't let you to do that, so if you want to build a game center then you need to have a powerful internet connection and then buy the server from the place that game publisher let you and then you can have your own server. they do this because of license, if they let people have their own dedicated server without letting the publisher know then they can use illegal copies and this is why many new released games are limiting peoples to use some specific server provider to be able to play the game in multiplayer mode. so before knowing anything about how to build a dedicated server it is very important to know which game you want to choose.After choosing the game you should know how many player you will have in your server because this is very important for the server you want to buy, for example counter strike is an old game and can be run on a PIII pc easily, but when it comes to server everything changes, in counter strike a low performance P4 PC with 512MB of ram will be able to handle 4 players easily but if you want to have 32 players in the game you need at least 2.8Ghz single core processor with at least 1GB of ram and 128kbps up and down links for each player for not facing any lag during the game (maybe with less down link). these were minimum for CS 1.6 and so if you gonna serve newer games then you need more powerful server, a dual or quad core cpu (core2quad / corei7 if you gonna have your server in home and quad core intel xeon or AMD Opteron if you gonna buy a dedicated server). if you gonna buy the dedicated server then you have to pay a lot of money but you can also set the server in your home with much less price but it makes some problems too, like good and stable internet connection and a separate PC which gonna be running 24 hours a day and etc, but you will have more control on it and of course building a dedicated server in home is so much easier.Now after you found / built the server you have to do some script works and run the server, this depends on the game, some games come with built in script like functions that let you to do anything you want without need of 3rd party softwares but some others need extra softwares. you should also find some type of anti-cheat software for the game you gonna run, so you will get more players in your server because no one likes to play with cheaters that hit you in the head while jumping with a sniper. after doing these things you need to work a little on the security of your server, you don't need to prepare your server for a huge attack but you should be aware that some players when get banned because of breaking the rules of the server start to attack server with some simple type of attack so with a little search you will find some softwares that will prevent your server from falling in trap of them. after doing all of these you can run your dedicated game server and enjoy playing game with your own friends (private server) or with peoples all over the world (public servers). and if you gonna run a public server never forget to build a website for it because by doing this you will get more players and of course with a little ads on it you can get some money too.

First of all i should say that windows xp can not handle two sharing connection itself, i mean it can not use a shared internet from another computer by ICS and then again share the current internet with another device again using ICS but this feature is implemented in newer OS like win vista and seven and you will not have any problem with that. the problem you have mentioned is something general, you should provide more details, first important thing is that you are using automatic IP and DNS config or manual ones ? if you are using automatic ones i recommend you to change to manual. i don't have an iphone but you should be able to set an IP and DNS for the connection your phone sees in somewhere in the settings. there should be something like advanced options for the wireless connection that your phone shows and you want to connect to, so set a manual ip address for your PC and Phone (if using ics in win7 you should use 192.168.137.XXX and in windows xp you should use 192.168.0.XXX) and then enter a public DNS like open dns or google dns (8.8.8.8) for connecting to internet.Another important thing is to check to see if you have shared the internet correctly, in both XP and seven when you share an internet connection you should choose destination of this sharing, i mean you should say that you want to share you internet through what network adapter (in your case your wireless connection). be aware that you can choose nothing and in some cases you will not receive any error but internet will not be shared so check to see if you have chosen the right connection. do not forget to choose a wifi encryption type, this is important too, i don't know why but in many cases when you set encryption to nothing the internet connection will not be working correctly and you will face some discontinuity and the connection will not be stable, so my suggestion is to at least use a simple WEP encryption which is supported by many absolute devices too. Now if your problem exists after doing all of above then you need to check by two other hardwares, first use another phone to see if you can use the ad-hoc you have created, any phone with wifi ability will be enough because all the phones that have wifi can accept manual ip and dns in their settings if the problem exist then problem is related to you wireless adapter, driver or windows which one of them is not acting normal, if you were able to connect to internet using the other phone then problem is from your iphone, after that you should search the solution in support forum of apple and i'm sure you will find a solution.

Hmm, very strange thing is going on, with help of a German VPN now i can load the forum very fast, i don't know why this happens but with my normal connection it takes about 1 minute or more for me to be able to see the first page but now when i use the VPN connection i can load the first page just under 5 seconds and this is really weird. i found that when i use this VPN the delay time (ping) of this website is around 50 mseconds bit with my normal connection it is about 300mseconds so i thought that maybe the speed of forum loading is related to dns server that i'm currently using for my normal connection, so i tried to search and find some german dns servers, after that i tried some of them but the result was not satisfying and not comparable to the time that i use VPN. so i don't know what happens when i use VPN but it is clear that with a German IP i'm able to load forum much faster than a u.s. IP and i can't find any reason for that. now about errors that appear sometimes in above of the page, i think those errors are related to a bug which sometimes shows up and i don't think those are related to anyone working on the forum. @darko100 : I don't think that the speed problem is related to server load because i think that this website is using a dedicated server not a shared one and so with this little amount of users online the server load should not be a big problem. and i don't think that bandwidth is a problem too because for this amount of users coming to this website everyday a 10mbps port will be enough and there is no need to more bandwidth. and i think a bigger administrator crew itself is not a solution because if you see around you will find we have a lot of moderators right now but the problem is that most of them are inactive so i think an active moderator is much better than 100 of inactive ones.Now i think that there is a problem with some restrictions on the server input, i think the server is denying high speed connections and restricted speed on some IPs so when i use a German IP i can load forum a lot faster. now the most simple solution we can use is using google chrome because i found it is able to load forum a lot faster than mozilla firefox and opera so i'm currently using that for seeing this website and posting here, but it is not a magic anyway and you still need to wait a lot to see the new reply page with its text editor button .

Never go for the hacked version, it is illegal and also it is full of bugs, some drivers in those versions are really poor written and really ruins the performance of your computer, if you want to have a MAC first you need to know what hardwares you are currently using, finding this in windows seven is very easy and can be done by a small 3rd party software called cpuz, it will give you information about graphic card, motherboard and the integrated sound card. extra information should be gathered from device manager, if you are using a laptop then bluetooth card model and any integrated card reader should be available there, you need to know exact models because for some you can not find driver at all or they are available only for a specific version. if you find out that one of your hardwares is mac incompatible then you can not use that hardware in original MAC so if you find any of these types hardware i suggest you to forget the MAC OS and go for linux, it is more flexible and more customizable and even if you can not find a driver for a specific hardware you can request many peoples to write one for you but in mac the things is not just that easy and if you have an incompatible hardware then in most of the times you should forget that hardware in mac.Now for installing the original MAC OS DVD you need a software called "Boot 132" , so by using of this software you will have you original MAC and you can update it directly and do anything with it just like a mac. the first important thing is that "AMD IS NOT SUPPORTED" so if you have an amd processor you can not use this method. after burning "Boot-132 Generic ISO" on a disc enter it in your drive and wait for a line where says enter a hex value, in that section remove the boot disk and insert the original DVD of MAC and the wait a little and press enter. then install mac OS like a normal os if you don't know how then just see the installation guide in DVD and follow it. after completion of installation then you should again put the boot disk in drive and again you will see a hex value insertion section, in there you should enter something above 80 till you see volume of your mac OS. now you can enter your mac os but this is not done yet, there is another software called "Chamelon" search google for it and you will find it after that you need to use that software for installing a boot loader to do the work of the boot cd without need of inserting that disk every time you want to boot your mac OS. The installation of chamelon is easy and you can find it in many websites, after installation of that you should be able to boot your mac OS without any problem just like a MAC and so you can enjoy your original MAC. and in the end you should remember this line "The Mac OS X EULA forbids installations of Mac OS X on a non-Apple-branded computer" so even if you use the original disk of apple to install your OS you have break the rules, i don't know that one can get apple to agree with installation of mac on his/her PC, so what do you think ? is it worth to pay for a mac DVD and then install the original one but still doing an illegal thing ? so i recommend you to not go for MAC at all and i recommend all peoples that have MAC to install linux on their MAC OS, because i can't see any benefit for mac against linux except the design of the GUI.

What you want to do with your laptop ? this is very important, if you have a car and go to everywhere with your car then you can go for heavier ones too but if you don't have a car then being light is one of the important thing you have to keep in mind. if you are in university and you are going to be an engineer then you probably want to be able to run some eng. softwares very fast so a quad core cpu will be a suggestion but if you are a business man and you also care about the performance then you should go for ultra low power series of quad core cpu which means you should go for second generation of core i special series. if you like gaming too then a powerful graphic card is what you need but if you want to do some rendering then special series from nvidia is a suggestion for you. if you don't have time for watching movies and playing games you don't need a full HD screen and you can get a lighter and smaller laptop but if you are a game worm then a full HD which means at leas 15 inches LCD/LED is needed for your laptop, so it is very important to tell what you want from your laptop or in other hand what you are doing right now ? what kind of job do you have and what will laptop do for you ?2. Your budget ? if your budget is open till a specific amount then if you answer the first question correctly it will be very easy to choose a good one, but if you have a specific limited amount of budget then many choices you will get in the first question will be out of the game in this section. now if you gonna make money from your laptop (i mean if you are a programmer, designer, engineer, ... and you gonna do some projects with your laptop) then don't worry about the money so if you spend a little more it and it can give you more time for doing your project then you have won a lot of money for just a little of it. this is very important to know that the if you buy a laptop with the highest performance possible then you should know that these laptops will just get a lot of cheaper than a month or two after their initial release so if you care about the money you pay never go for the first released ones. some manufactures will get money from you only for some luxuries they have put on their laptops so if you do not care about luxuries then do not go for them. 3. How long you will use your laptop ? this is important too, will you replace your current laptop with another one next year ? if you do then do not go for brands which are popular for having long life because you will not use your laptop more than a year, so buying an acer which in these days is one of the heroes in price/performance section will do the job for you but if you pay for sony then you have to pay more for same config and the only thing you may see form it (only may !) is that it will have a more longer life than the acer (maybe not!). if you gonna keep your laptop for a long time then buying "made in china" laptops is not a good decision, many manufactures still produce some of their products in other countries like sony, dell, ... and you can go for them too and if you want to buy a china made one be sure that there is not any general failure about the specific model you want to buy. Now after answering these questions your choices will be limited to a few and choosing between them is a lot easier than choosing between thousands of laptops without any idea about how to choose one.

Yes this is an old way of finding others user name and password, i haven't seen any faked login page for gmail except in here but i have seen many faked pages for yahoo and msn / live mail. some of them are designed very accurate but some others are just saying that they are fake, for example in pages i have seen there was some with SSL encryption which makes it more realistic and even the fav icon and the picture of the yahoo login page were just like the real yahoo login page at that time and this shows that the designer had used some type of scripts to get the latest picture and other changes from the original yahoo page to make it more like the real one, in some pages i have seen that the URL is completely close to real one too but as i never click on any link in my mail so i never lost my username and password by these type of stealing, anyway you should be always careful about where you are typing your username and password so always check the url one or two times to make sure that you are seeing the real login page but anyway from last year i haven't seen anyone sending such message to my email to steel my username and password and so i think this method is just absolute and out of date, now they use many other ways for doing that.Now hackers are writing softwares for stealing your information, there is no name for these softwares because each hacker writes his own but sometimes you can hear of them as iStealer. by help of these softwares a hacker do need only an email and then he can steal all of you data including bank accounts, email accounts, all username and password you enter in each day using your computer and any other thing that he is interested in from your H.D.D and then the software will send them all to his email or ftp account. now usually they use another type of softwares like bulk senders to send this softwares to their victims but not to their email but to their computers directly, this needs a server and after that they can have all of the information they want from thousands of peoples in just an hour and this is more serious than a phishing website. this is why i always suggest people to use firewalls and always be aware about the behavior of their internet connection, every 2 hour check the connections you computer are using to see if you can find any suspect IP and if you saw an unknown ip or any suspect traffic then just disconnect your computer from internet as soon as possible to find out what is going on. Another suggestion i can give is to trying to have a external hard disk or at least a flash drive and if you have any important document keep then on that because a flash drive or an external hard disk will show its activity by LED blinking and the noise (when external drive starts spinning) and so if you have seen that and you know that you are not using your flash or your hard disk you can just remove your media and then search for virus or the stealing software that you have got in your PC (an antivirus may search content of your flash drive or external H.D.D too but they usually do that only when you connect the drive but if you think that the activity is related to antivirus you can just check it in antivirus status which shows what you antivirus is doing right now). a device that is not connected to internet (a computer that is connected to internet) is always safe from hackers but there are also some softwares which will get a copy of you flash drive on internal hard disk of your pc when you connect them to your pc for sending it later.

Oh the title of the topic is not chosen good at all, if i didn't see the section i was going to think about many other things rather than cars and driving , anyway i read your story and it seems you are interested in cars like me too, i drove my first car when i was 15 a year older than you so i can say 14 is not very soon if you are gonna be a car lover. in u.s in most of the states you can get your license in 16 but i have heard that if you can prove your ability in driving you can get it in 15 too but i don't know if it is possible to get it in 14 too or not so it is better for every one (not the starter of the topic because he is now 17 and doesn't need to prove anything for getting his license) to ask from where they can get their license sooner than the specific age or not because these type of laws are vary from state to state and from country to country. so don't think that 14 is too young and if you think you are ready for driving a car then just ask peoples to see if you can get your license sooner and start driving around and amaze peoples .I think the minimum age should be vary from person to person because there is two factors which is very important to get a license one is the physical ability which consist of a specific amount of height (of course a 2 years old child can not drive a car because his foots can not reach the pedals) and specific amount of being sharp and accurate in pointing the car and in the same time having the control of the throttle another ability that is required is that the person should know the danger, a child may not know that he can kill a person easily and these are why they have specified a minimum age for getting a license. now as all of peoples are not same and do not born same so forcing a specific age to all of them is not correct at all because some peoples even at 40 years of their life do not know that how much dangerous is to drive a car when you are drunk and they have their license from 16 but some other peoples are able to drive from 13 and are much more caring about their driving style but they can not get their license because of the law, so this is why i say they should change the law and specify the age based on other tests that they have to take before letting someone to give a driving test.Now if the law doesn't let you to drive then it is better to avoid from driving on the roads because driving one or two years later is better than making your parents trouble or even not being able to get a license till 18, in many countries required age for getting a license is 18 so if you are in u.s you are so lucky. in some countries if you kill someone when driving a car while you don't have a license they will kill you, in most of the countries if you hit somebody with a car while you don't have a license this can cause you a real trouble and this is why i recommend you to just forget driving or if you want to drive a car just drive in places that you know there is not any other car or person. you should always know that having the skill is not enough you should be able to have the responsibility of the damages you may occur while you are driving to another car or even a person so the age limit is for getting peoples ready for be able to be responsible for the damages they have done, a child can not take the responsibility of killing a person and this is why in the most of countries the law is different for peoples below 18 and above 18, so if the law doesn't let you to drive a car it is so much better to wait and two years will pass just like a blink of an eye.

There is no way for this error message to be related to RAM , this type of error if was related to ram it will give you the reason like saying "The initialization of the renderer is not possible duo to ..." and in the end it will say some of the known sentences which is related to lack of memory. now the first thing i guess is directx because it gives your game details about available render modes, so first try to install the directx that comes with the media of the game (before that create a system restore point other wise you may loose some functionality) and see if the problem is solved or not also try to uninstall the current directx you have with some removal tools available on the net, as you said you said you are unable to upgrade from 9b to 9c then you should do one of these methods : 1. uninstall your current windows completely then install a new one and then install latest directx which will work without any doubt. 2. get one of the removal tools i talked about and see if you are able to revert back to the original directx that comes with your windows and see if you are then able to upgrade to directx9c. you can do another thing as well just install windows xp again on a different partition to have a dual boot both with win xp and then try things in the new one because by this way if you haven't succeed then you will not have to take a backup from your previous windows.If the problem still exist then you should go for driver, with F.E.A.R i remember it had problem with drivers that dell was recommended for its desktops and laptops and so the users had to install another driver from nvidia website with modified .inf file to be able to play this game, so maybe this is what you are facing with, try to download latest nvidia driver from their website not from powercolor website, most of the times the driver nvidia gives you for old cards is not a new version, so if you want to use the latest you have to modify the inf file but also you can find the modified inf file in the web very easy just find what driver you want to install and then search the version + "modified inf" in google and you will find the modified inf easily then move the modified inf into the folder of driver and then you will be able to install the driver on your PC but be aware of that with new version of driver you may not see the performance if the old drivers or you will face some bugs like fan spinning in the full speed but this the only way you can have some new games playable on your system so give it a try to see if this method can solve your problem.Now if none of above worked then try to install latest patch for your game, i think with 4 years past from this game now you can find many patches released for this game so try each of them to see if the problem is gone or not, most of the patches are released to improve the game performance and repair the bugs so probably one of them will cover your problem if it is related to game itself. you should be able to see at least four options in the video mode section of the game which shows that the driver, directx and game itself is working well so if you saw no options or only one it means your problem still exist. F.E.A.R is not a light game but with such config you should be able to play it without any doubt but because of the RAM you will face some lag in the game because it will use some space form your hard which is so much slower so upgrading the ram will be a huge recommendation. i know the topic is started in 2007 but i have not digged it (the previous post is today) and also this is a common problem so this tutorial may help other peoples to solve their problems too.
