  1. Request filled, topic closed. PM me if you need it reopened.
  2. Congratulations, truefusion wins this SOTW with 5 votes. Here is your tab.
  3. Not that it matters because I don't have any votes yet, but my name was left off the voting panel. Here's the current standings and how the voting format should be.
  4. Here's my entry. For those that don't know, the Australian soccer team is also known as the "Socceroos". When you think about it, a kangaroo would make a great soccer player. Very strong hind legs for kicking, small front legs, (not much use for them in soccer) and the goalie has a very powerful tail to protect the goal with. Good luck everyone.
  5. I agree with Paul, all those sites are rather bland looking. If you expect visitors to your sites to be looking purely for content then this approach *might* work. However, another site with similar content but a more appealing look is sure to attract more visitors. Perhaps you made these site with the idea of them being Pocket PC friendly, not sure if they are but they look like they might be, if so, I guess the design is ok. But from a pure web browsing point of view, I think the sites lack appeal and thus the ability to keep people coming back to them.
  6. What you see is SM's style. Some people prefer detail, (myself included) others prefer smudge and blur, SM is one of these people. Maybe you don't particularly like his style, but you still should acknowledge his talent. SM has made some truly excellent sigs in the past, a quick look though his gallery will show you that. Currently he feels he is going through a slump, but I'd still rate him as one the best sig designers on this board.
  7. I think is something like what you're after.
  8. I'm not sure if it the same for all versions of phpnuke, but in the version I have, (7.1) it's like this. In the folder called 'html' there is another folder called 'includes'. In there is a file called 'meta.php', this is the file that contains the meta tag content. I hope that helps.
  9. I didn't think defragging hard drives was that important these days with the high speed hard drives available. However, given the size of these drives, defragging might be a good idea. I suspect however that if you have a large hard drive, (greater than 100gb) that has a lot of data on it, it will take quite a while to defrag. Nonetheless, I might give it a try and see if it speeds things up a bit. Some of my programs are taking a while to load, notably Photoshop.Floppies are indeed almost extinct, so much so that floppy drives are an optional extra on most new computers. If you must use a floppy disk, make sure it's nothing important as they are very prone to failure. Even if you put something on a brand new floppy as a backup and put it away some place safe in case you need it later, I have many times when the floppy has failed on me. Far better to backup to a CD or for temporary data transfer, use a memory stick of some sort. I don't trust floppy disks as far as I can throw them. Actually, that could be a long way. I just don't trust them and no longer use them.
  10. Very nice sig saga, my suggestions for improvement are: Make the render a little larger, it has lost some of it's detail with it's small size Some of the text is unreadable, make it a little larger. (Above the "RF onlie" text)
  11. My vote goes to truefusion, the look of motion is very impressive. The colors and blending are also great.
  12. Request denied, please read the pinned topic regarding requesting a sig. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/29833-rules-read-this-before-making-a-sigbanner-request-rules-regulations-update/ Here is an excerpt from that post. A 1 line post is not considered a quality post.

  14. *BUMP*Need some more votes before we can close this battle.
  15. itsmyard's entry will not be included in the votes due to not being within the theme criteria. Also, Agentb's entry is not quite within the size criteria, it is 1 pixel narrower than it should be, 249 pixels wide, the minimum was 250 wide. However, for the sake of 1 pixel I think it can be included in the voting. Let this be a warning, in the future, any entry that does not comply with the size restrictions exactly, even by 1 pixel, will be disqualified. Please use the following voting format and include a reason for your vote. Agentb truefusion Mich Avalon kylelnsn command-prompt
  16. My vote goes to agentb. I like the perspective style, it's not very often you see a vector sig that appears to have depth like that. Congratulations to Agentb for winning SOTW #40. It was a close contest for a while there. Here is your tab, display it with pride!
  17. I suggest you look at the Xisto Readme file, it provides all the information you need. http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?act&CODE=01&HID=18
  18. Nice work ash, clean lines that send a simple message. Don't you think "World Cup Winners 2006" is a little premature? Australia are in there too don't forget. I know we are ranked as an outside chance, but you never know, anything can happen! Personally I think Brazil are the ones to watch.
  19. I love it, very well done! The color difference between the left and right sides of the background looks a little odd though. Perhaps a little more render blending would be nice too.
  20. Nice work edgecoc, I really like the border style you seem to have adapted. Blending and coloring are great, your text just looks a little pixelated.
  21. I have made something like this before. My one is actually a book but there is no reason why it couldn't be adapted to make a photo album. Look here http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  22. I don't know as I wasn't that concerned about it. But I do know that I didn't make wild claims that can't be substantiated about how good it was. I mean, "10 Backlinks Obtained To My Website In Under 5 Minutes!" is a pretty big claim. Pehaps an analysis of those awstats would be a good idea, I know that these stats can be misleading. Here's some of my stats for the month of May. All looks very impressive doesn't it? However, when you look into the stats it seems there are a few misleading figures. Here's the external page, (non search engine) with the most 'links' back to my site. http://forums.xisto.com/index.php 501 538 Now I know for a fact that there is not a link back to my site on that page. Apparently it counts a 'link' when you go from a page to your site. Awstats are great, but don't be mislead by the figures. The point is, if you're going to make these big claims, make sure you can back them up with facts. Otherwise people will naturally be skeptical.
