iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 yes, they are sleazyReservation Rewards - A Scam!I had been seeing their charge on my Mastercard for a few months, and when I finally called them they told me I'd signed up for some free trial on petmeds.Com. The thing was, they were charging a credit card I don't even USE--it's been cut up for years so I can pay it off. I do use petmeds, but I have always used a completely different card for my orders. I still do not know how they got my Mastercard number. But the customer service lady insisted that I had given them my email address, etc., essentially calling me a liar. Nice "customer service", assuming I was one of their customers. I still do not even know what service these people provide! Because of this fraudulent charge, I had to get a new card issued, and all kinds of screwy things happened with my account during the transition process. One of these was that my due date changed to 10 days earlier than previous, so I of course ended up with a late fee, which meant a whole other kind of dispute I had to make. Citibank of course eventually corrected the error, but it was a huge pain and could have ultimately damaged my credit. When I informed the Reservation Rewards lady of all the problems they'd caused me, she said, "You don't have to get so upset, ma'am." YES I DO! YOU'VE BEEN STEALING FROM ME! How have these people not been indicted for fraud yet?
iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 6, 2009 Reservation Rewards class action lawsuit is a SCAM, too!Reservation Rewards - A Scam! The class action suit against Reservation Rewards is a SCAM in itself.Only one class action suit can be filed at one time for any givenCompany or situation. So, the company filed one against THEMSELVES toKeep anyone else from making further claims. In the contract, it limitsYou to any further legal action, and will only return ?up to 2 monthsWorth of charges.? They will return 2 months worth of charges with aSimple phone call. DO NOT sign up for the class action lawsuit. I wasRipped off for over a year?s worth of charges. I went along with theirLittle scheme, filled out all the mail-in paperwork they make you fillOut, and I actually DID get my money back. The lawsuit WILL NOT returnAny more than 2 months worth of fees. Keep that in mind.-reply by Charles
iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 Another disgruntled "customer" of this scam. I had charges first appear in May. I didn't at first think much of it, thinking it could be a legitimate charge associated with something I actually USED and WANTED. Once I realized it was a recurring charge for "rewards" which I did not (and still don't) understand what I was ever rewarded with besides $12 less dollars in my account- I called my bank, Chase. They gave me the number to Reservation Rewards, Webloyalty or whatever you crooks call yourselves, which I called. I received nothing but the runaround from them. I was basically called a liar in broken English, but after much back and forth I was promised a refund and cancellation. DIDN'T HAPPEN. I just talked with Chase and they are going to refund me all but 1 of the charges, and I'm canceling the card so you cannot charge me again. I see webloyalty has someone that tries to go around patching these things up- good luck with that, Mary O Reilly! There is a reason why "Reservation Rewards scam" turns up 85,000 hits on Google! I guess that is job security for you though isn't it? As long as your company keeps up the shady business practices you will never be associated with anything other than the well-earned poor reputation for perpetuating this kind of crap. iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 12, 2009 hmmmm....Reservation Rewards - A Scam!Well, not to sound like a broken record in here, but I got nailed by that $12 a month bill. My bank gave me the number to RR and I called them. The guy was polite and knew what I wanted before I even finished saying it. I guess they get these calls a lot. He said I should see a refund in 3-5 days. Guess I will keep an eye out for that. But balancing my bankbooks is what caught this and reading my bills including credit card bills. I feel sort of bad for the people who got nailed for months but then again, it is their fault they didn't read or check into their own finances. Oh by the way, I was another Fandango ticket buyer who got fried. Either I will not use them again or next time I will make sure there are no hidden boxes that I am missing to uncheck. Kinda leaves a bad taste about Fandango too.-reply by chris
iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 21, 2009 oh my god !!!Reservation Rewards - A Scam!I just noticed that I have the same scam in my credit card and called the number shown above (800) 732-7031. I chose "membership cancellation" and they asked my credit card number or membership number. Of course I don't want to give my credit card number again and even don't know about what my membership number is. I have never been a member ! So I stayed on the line without pressing any button, the automated system directed me to a teller. She found my record in the system and said 13 charges have been occurred. Oh my God... I just thought only 4 charges ! She first told I will get 1 last refund, but I told again her I want "full refund". She told she is authorized to issue 6 refunds of $12.I will see if they will actually refund 6 of $12 and report it here.

iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 26, 2009 Another victim of Rewards ReservationsReservation Rewards - A Scam!In looking at my AX statement I discovered that a $12 charge had been taken out for the last 18 months by RR. I had no idea who or what this was so I contacted AX to dispute the charge and they are doing so. In the mean time I contacted RR. The first person that I talked to wanted all kinds of information before telling me anything, but I would not give it to him. I called back and go another service rep, and informed me, with only using my email address that I had sign up for a $25 certificate on a 30 day free trial with RR on the Orbiz.Com site. I rarely use Orbitz, but did so back in February 08 to book a hotel. It turns out, once I booked the hotel a pop-up appears saying something about claiming $25 Cash Back incentive on my next Orbitz reservation. In small print below where you click "Continue" was a phrase referring to their preferred partner and conditions apply. Long story short, by claiming what appears to be a legitimate discount towards future purchases on Orbitz.Com, I unwittingly signed up for a membership for RR at $12 a month charged to my AX. Again, long story short, I was able to get the rep to refund, or at least commit to refund 6 months of charges and she sent me an email to fill out a form for the other months going back to February, a total of $216. I will go through their process as well as AX's to see what I can get funded, but I doubt I will get a full refund. Frankly, I was surprised at the ease of getting this amount of refund over the phone, as others have stated. It is as if RR knows the scam is exposed and they are trying to placate those of us that question them.S Given the number of people on this site and others I have seen, RR must be making a fortune off of this scam. I am going to report them to my states financial services division as well as the BB. Once I contact these agencies, I will report back here. It may not be a lot of money to me, but they are ripping people off all over the country.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 9, 2009 GIRL!! you need to tell your bank to file a claim and take their asses to court! they stole $156 from you! don't settle for 6 refunds. Oh and did you speak to joanne? bc that lady has a temper.. Goodluck. .. btw I got scamed too...Through FANDANGO! but I just asked my bank about it and they have been charging me since JULY ! but thank God its only been 3 months. What I found amusing was that the moment I told her that I felt I was scamed and that the process was executed poorly she immediatly said "ok well ill go ahead and cancel your membership and once its cancelled the pending purchase will drop. And I will drop the payment of august" and I was like ok well what about the one in july? and this rediculous woman told me (rather quick mind you ) that " ok I will drop the charges for July AS A CURTOSY" CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! the odasity of this company! Anyways I asked her to please refund all charges, drop the last payment, and cancel my "membership" AND to get it all in writting. She said that it will all be stated in the email that their going to send to me... WE'LL SEE THEN. Sorry that I am venting but can you tell that I just found out and just got off the phone with them? anyways good luck to you and anyone else who gets caught in their scam. p.S I called back again to see if some other associate could see the changes made on my account... Same lady... Useless.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 same thing happened to me,I had seen the $12 taken out of my acct but I had thought not much of it because I have a joint account with my husband and thought maybe it was something he had been purchasing.Well thank God I asked him and he had NO idea what that was.Plus when you click on info on my bank statement online it says my name and card number.I called reservation rewards and at first just asked for a cancellation.Than when I started doing some research and seen how much money I had been out I called back and demanded a refund, and surprisingly they did with no problem.I got all my money back a couple days later..So when they say they will refund you they will.At least with me they did! no legit company would ever just be giving everyone their refund back just because!they know what they are doing is wrong and are trying to get everyone to shut thier mouths by giving them the money.I am so happy I caught it,I just feel bad that so many other people out there are getting scammed and wont catch it like we did! if this happens to you get YOUR MONEY BACK.Don't settle for the 6 months that they give you if they were taking more than those 6 months!what they are doing is wrong and for FANDANGO AND ORBITZ and ALL the other websites who supports RESERVATION REWARD they should not be allowed to get away with it!-reply by alexis

iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 I got scammed for 14monthsReservation Rewards - A Scam!I was looking at my bank statement today and realized a $12.00 charge from Reservation Rewards. well, I don't even know what that is much less signed up for anything that's $12 a month. I called and they told me I purchased tickets on movietickets.Com, and it automatically signed me up for a membership! I was like no way that's not me signing up, that is you illegally being sneaky. I want the overdraft charges you have caused me & the $12 refunded. I than noticed this had been taken out of my accoutn for 14 months! I called my bank & they told me they would take off the overdraft. I called 1-800-732-7031 & explained that I know it wasnt her fault but it was the company she works for so she needs to take all of these 14 month charges and refund me back or there will be a problem bc I work for a law firm. She told me she could give me 6 of the months back. I than said no that's not good enough so she emailed me a form to fill out to try to fight it to get the other 8 months back. -reply by Kadie
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Soft trap by Rewards ReservationReservation Rewards - A Scam!I almost fell into the Rewards Reservation trap, by just accepting a $20-cash-back offer in connection with my online reservation at the Lake Tahoe Horizon Casino and Hotel.I thought I was being offered the reward by the hotel. To qualify I had to enter the last 4 digits of the credit card used to make the hotel reservation and my email address.Next, there was an on-screen message telling me there's some processing in "another window" and shortly thereafter a message from Rewards Reservation "congratulating" me on being a new member and a brief "offer and billing details" chapter. I read it and then realized that I had been trapped -- after the first 30-day free membership I would be charged $12 monthly automatically on my credit card (I never gave them more than the last 4-digits) until I would cancel my membership.Fortunately, I became aware of the trap and will cancel my membership tomorrow. The one question still remains -- did the hotel give my full credit card number to Rewards Reservation? How else would RR know this financial info to debit my credit card? Remember, I only provided to RR the last 4 digits of my credit card and my email address.-reply by Wolfgang Scherp
iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Rewards Reservation ScamReservation Rewards - A Scam!Same scenario, showed up on my AMEX statements and initially thought is was related to business travel until I didn't travel for two months yet the charges were still there. I contacted them and they canceled the account and refunded the last 6 months worth of charges. The RR Rep I spoke with said I was signed up through a website purchase. Though the situation is frustrating it was refreshing to be able to handle it with a 5 minute phone conversation. The number to call is 800-732-7031. They will ask for your acct number which should be on your CC statement and they patch you through to an operator. Tell them you want to cancel your acct and would like a refund. They actual have a menu button for canceling acct's so they are very used to it.

Span and I don't remember what I ordered online or which card I used...If they could just narrow it down to what I ordered, what time frame, and which company charged my card illegally. They just say it's from several possible companies, from 2000 through Sept. 2008If anyone knows how I can find out, give me an idea...I can't possibly look through 8 years worth of credit card statements...In which I keep in file cabinets....Thank you..C A-question by Cynthia A Ankney
iGuest 3 Report post Posted October 7, 2009 Reservation Rewards SCAM and should be bannedReservation Rewards - A Scam! The same thing happened to me. I realized a $12 charge on credit card. When I checked my last 5 months transactions this charge had taken place on my account for the last 5 months. I called Reservation Rewards and talked to the customer service representative. When I order some gifts on the internet, Reservation Rewards hadSomehow automatically signed me up for a 12 month membership. I was clearly not aware of this. Then I canceled my membership and asked to refund the money. Hopefully I would get refund in 3-5 daysPlease be careful while ordering in the internet. If something pop-up, please read carefully and don't accept without reading. Sometime you will sign-up to multiple membership and will pay without your knowledge. I had to cancel one more account to for which I signed up without my knowledge and they too charged to my credit card account for 2 months and later I canceled that too. These companies should be banned from doing business. -reply by rajesh
