First of all, get rid of one of the Body tags. Second, the Input requires a "name=". Third, different Browsers set various margins and padding for elements differently, so I usually set them equal to 0 in the body tag of the css and that inherits throughout the page unless I change them for an element. That might make a difference. And I see that you are setting negative margins on a lot of things. Let the Document Flow define your positions is the best way to handle them. I rarely need negative margins or absolute positioning. Run the URL through the w3c validator to see what the errors are. And the css through jigsaw. w3c validator CSS validator

First of all, there are some good references at the w3schools.com site. http://w3schools.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=7567 Secondly, there are some fairly knowledgable folks here. Post a help request in the HTML sub-forum of the computer Forum. Provide a link to your page and the css code and let us see what you have done so far. It makes it a bit easier if the css is in the html page, but if it is in an external file, that's okay, too. IE has a problem with Margins and Padding, sort of. If you don't have a correct Doc Type Declaration, IE goes into Quirks mode and guesses at your layout, so lets see some code and we'll help you work through this. Also, describe as best you can, the problems as you see them, so we know what to correct and modify.

A Moderator added some quote tags around a list of items in the Neopets posting. That would delete some credits from the total.I can't get to that site either. Is there a possibility that the account was set up under another sub-domain other than the one you are using? Maybe a typing error or something?Xisto.net accounts are freely available, so try to add another account using a different name for the sub-domain.In future, please post the Xisto.net questions in the appropriate Forum. We get confused if they are scattered all over the place. Thanks. -

How To Delete A Row In Mysql. A very simple help required
jlhaslip replied to apple's topic in Programming
Change your code to echo a link using the variable named $id as the get query string in the href portion of the anchor tag. You want the anchor tag to look like this in your Browser : <a href="delete.php?id=1" > 1 </a>Then write a php page named "delete.php" to handle the deleting of the row from the table. It can also be done from a single page if you check for an isset() on the $_GET, but when you are just learning, I suggest a seperate page for processing the delete. By sure to "LIMIT=1" on the DELETE in your mysql query, or else you might do some damage to the table involved. -
They are your points to use as you see fit. Couple of points about Transfer of Credits, though:1. Only allowed between Hosted members.2. You must have a minimum of 30 Credits remaining in your account AFTER the transfer or the transfer fails to go through.3. There is a small percentage fee for transfers (3%)Other than that, feel free to award credits to whomever you wish to thank for answering your questions or helping you out.

Lozbo,We have had these discussions in the past regarding Javascript Menus on html pages. Approximately 20% of users turn it off, essentially eliminating the on:hover events, so CSS is a better way to go, in my opinion. :)And CSSPLAY has drop-down and flyout menus that are cross-browser and validate even using IE6/7.

Use a text editor to modify your page. You will have to know some HTML to do that. Check Tutorials here on the Trap and w3schools.com for more information. To add a Forum, download the software and install it according the readme file or other instructions for the specific Forum package.Any questions, post back here and someone will guide you further. -
No Javascript in these: http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menus/

How Do I Duplicate A Joomla Site?
jlhaslip replied to paulmason411's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Try it and let us know how it goes. -
I would say that it shouldn't take longer than about a month to get a decent page together. Depending on a couple of things, like how complex you wish to make the page, whether you are worried about having it validate, use of the positioning techniques that 'stretch the limits', etcetera. And how much effort you want to put into it.You should be able to get 'a page' together quicker than that, of course, but I imagine that it will take several versions before you are somewhat happy with the results. I've been playing around with it for 2 years now and I am still discovering new methods and tricks, so to become quite proficient will take longer, of course.Good Luck with it.

Well, like Erin a couple of posts up, I am also from Canada, but the other side of the map. British Columbia is the Province I live in now, but I was born and schooled in Southern Ontario (not Toronto, thank goodness). Lived in Alberta for a bit, too. I have travelled across the country and there is amazing scenery throughout the entire country. Decent folk, good regional foods, and lots of diversity. We take pride in being a 'mosaic' rather than a 'melting pot' in our dynamic mutli-cultural country. Where else would I live? No place. I like it just fine where I am.

Canadian Confidence Gotta love them Newfs

Something about the Geneva Convention ... -
Canadian Confidence President George Bush was in the Oval Office wondering which country to invade next, when his telephone rang. "Hallo, President Bush" a heavily accented voice said. "This is Archie, up 'ere at the Harp Seal Pub in Badger's Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, eh? I am callin' to tells ya dat we are officially declaring war on you, eh!" Well Archie," George replied, "This is indeed important news! How big is your army?" "Right now," said Archie, after a moment's calculation "there is myself, me cousin Harold, me next-door-neighbor Mick, and the whole dart team from the pub. That makes eight!" George paused. "I must tell you Archie, that I have ONE MILLION men in my army waiting to move on my command. "Holy jeez," said Archie. "I'll have ta call ya back!" Sure enough, the next day, Archie called again. "Mr. Bush, the war is still on! We have managed to acquire some infantry equipment!" "And what equipment would that be Archie?", George asked. "Well sir, we have two combines, a bulldozer, 3 fishing boats, 2 harpoon boats, a trawler with radar and Harry's farm tractor." President Bush sighed. "I must tell you Archie, that I have 6,000 tanks and 14,000 armoured personnel carriers. Also I've increased my army to one and a half million since we last spoke." "Lard T'underin' Jaysus, bye", said Archie, "I'll be getting back to ya." Sure enough, Archie rang again the next day. "President Bush, the war is still on! We have managed to git ourselves airborne! We up an' modified Harrigan's ultra-light wit a couple of shotguns in the cockpit, and four byes from the Legion have joined us as well!" George was silent for a minute then cleared his throat. "I must tell you Archie that I have 10,000 bombers and 20,000 fighter planes. My military complex is surrounded by laser-guided, surface-to-air missile sites. And since we last spoke, I've increased my army to TWO MILLION!" "Jeysus, Mary and Joseph," said Archie, "I'll have ta call youse back." Sure enough, Archie called again the next day. "President Bush! I am sorry to have to tell you dat we have had to call off dis 'ere war." "I'm sorry to hear that" said George. "Why the sudden change of heart?" "Well, sir," said Archie, "we've all sat ourselves down and had a long chat over a bunch of pints, and come to realize dat dere's no way we can feed two million prisoners."

Might be interested in a Topic from our 'sister' Forum, Xisto. There appears to be an issue with Password Manager in both Fx2.0 and IE7. Patches are forthcoming, as I understand it. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/91828-firefox-2ie7-beware-of-using-password-manager/

Well, let me say this about that... I agree with what has already been said, however, let me relate a story about an experience I had while a youth. I guess it was in Grade 7, might have been Grade 6 though, memory fades after a few years.I was pretty much a shy, quiet guy minding my own business, tried out for a Hockey team and made it onto the team as a Defenseman. There was another fellow who didn't make the team and figured it was me who took his place, so he and several of his friends decided I needed to be taught a lesson, so hassled me one night on my way home from school. Hassled me good, too. Cuts, bruises, bloody nose as i recall. Since there were 5 of them I didn't stand much of a chance. :)After about a week, I was all healed up. Took it upon myself to show a little retribution. One on one, this time. I stalked the biggest guy, caught him heading home from the local store one night after supper. Paid him back even though he was bigger and supposed to be able to kick my butt. Over the next couple of weeks, I found each of them seperately and had a little to-do with them, one on one, one at a time. I didn't hurt them, just took them down and nicely explained that next time I would not be so nice as to let them walk away. And if they had a problem with that, to say so now and I'd honour their request immediately. I didn't inflict any damage on any of them, simply showed that I could do to them singly what they had done to me as a gang.Rest of the year and many more after that went pretty well. I can't emphasize enough that fighting is not my preferred method to resolve a dispute, but there may well be time when it is neccesary. Someone looking at you funny isn't reason enough.

The two go hand in hand. Put some css in there now. Set margins and padding to zero on the body element and see if that changes anything.
