Better not "rip-out his eyes" until he sees how mad you are about this.No joking. An 'Internet friend' of mine is dealing with her address and a Google map Image of the city block she lives on being posted on a site. The posting was reported to the Police and the matter is being taken very seriously. Charges are pending.

Threats and security is not something to be dealt with lightly on the Internet. If I were you, I would be looking for a new friend. The next 'stalker' may be for real. And the next time it may not be a friend.

Instead of using an assignment for the user name and password, check out the Define function. http://ca3.php.net/manual/en/function.define.php It adds a little bit to the security because "defined" values can not be modified by the script, so it would eliminate one possible security risk. Also, the first rule of using data from Forms is "NEVER TRUST USER INPUT". Always check the data to be certain it is not harmful.

Can we see your code and perhaps suggest a modification to do that time conversion?Buffalohelp and I had a similar problem when we worked on a script to link to the Yahoo Calendar and I can't recall exactly how we arranged it, but I do have some code from that project which might help me sort it out.

Poison Ivy! any home remedies to get rid of poison ivy? I need help
jlhaslip replied to arza1's topic in Health & Fitness
Calamine Lotion works the best to reduce the Itching, and keep it covered to avoid scratching or irritating the blisters. If it doesn't start getting better, I recommend you consult a Health Professional. -
Yea, traffic gets really bad around here, too. Just last week I had to wait for three cars to go by before I could pull out onto the Highway from my sub-division and then after getting to town I had to stop in the middle of Town for nearly 15 seconds when a Pedestrian walked across the street.I hate it when I have to actually stop for the one traffic light in town...1 Crosswalk Light and 1 set of traffic lights here.

Do I Need To Be Active In The Forums? [resolved]
jlhaslip replied to Codemaster Snake's topic in Web Hosting Support
Depends on the quality of your postings. It would take a large number of small, one-line posts like that one to earn a full credit, but with some effort, and with your computer background, it will not be difficult to earn credits. The number of credits you have is on the Forum index page. Check the number of credits you have, then make a good, quality post and re-check the number. That will tell you how many credits the post is worth, so then you will have an idea about how easy it will be to earn credits. -
XAMPP is a single click installer for an Apache server, mysql, php and Perl that you might find fits the bill. Open Source and Free as in Beer.

check out the page structure at the Hoverbox Demo http://host.sonspring.com/hoverbox/ Your site doesn't need the on-hover because you are doing the lightbox javascript method, but review the html and css for the Image UL to see how it works. One UL is all that is required here. Add some margin or padding to adjust them for spacing. -

jlhaslip replied to Codemaster Snake's topic in Web Hosting Support
Yes, the Hosting requires posting activity, however, you can accumulate posting credits once you are Hosted and not post for a period of time if you maintain a positive credit status. Or you can purchase Hosting credits. As a new member, you will want to read the articles in the Xisto README found above the shoutbox on every page. Enjoy. -

Change the class of the UL to do what the outer div was doing and It should be good.See above codebox, particularly the UL tag with the class change. I am thinking that the UL is not included inside the 'content' because the UL is 'floated', so the wrapper div ignores it. That is one problem with floats. They are removed from the normal document flow and then positioned afterwards, so they sometimes fall out of their container.*edit*And modify the CSS for the UL class once the changes are made. -

Had a quick peek. Find : <p class="main_text"/> and remove the slash at the end of that tag. The paragraph is closing because of the slash. Might be the problem. (?) Post back if it doesn't work. *edit* Just an idea, but if you are planning to attract potential customers from this site, I would consider changing your Myspace user name, or start a new page on Myspace. That name you are using now will really not present a good image for the client to see. Must be a story to be told about that one... -
That sounds about right. It is Noon here now and the Image is stating it is 6:00pm, which is GMT (given that I am GMT -7, but Daylight Savings Time). Can you modify the script so that It echos out the GMT attribute? Or can each Image be modded to add/subtract the user's hours?

Will it use the Standard Compliant Box Model which doesn't add margins and Padding to the outside of the div?Floats working properly? The list goes on ad nauseum...Let the games begin... -
It seems to be picking up the Server time or your local time??? Maybe add the Time Zone information to that? ie: GMT +/- X hrs?
-
I will be a Beta tester for this... What, if anything, do I need to do?

And then there is the old New Orleans favourite, "I don't get around much anymore..." Video here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Looks pretty cool. I'll bet you love it at the cottage, and now I see why...
