even opera owns ie... well i dont think that ie is that bad of a web broswer, its just that its the most abused of the lot. it takes crap from the majority of spyware and viruses as its very maintream. if firefox became the new ie, i'd say ththat it will suffer the same abuse from hackers and other idiots wanting to mess around. its a matter of impact i guess, ie is just abusable so it takes it all.

although not any time soon, tpcs may well be replaced my latops. or perhaps pcs will become so compact they they literally turn into laptops haha... i could imagine both these scenariios in any case. things gets faster and smaller, thats just how things work. i hope laptops will be as versitile as pcs in teh furture, maybe they'll make hardware (cd-roms, video cards, sound cards) all specific to laptops so we can interchange and upgrade as we do normall pcs. thats teh only reason why pcs are still being favored over laptops, laptops just get old too quickly since u cant upgrade them.

ooo i alsos wondered how this process actually worked, i knew about it but i din get the whole shibang of it. i guess this will be a handy fact to remember next time i delete something by accident... which i do occasionally... i alsways shift+del so when i get a wrong file i totally screw myself over >< thanks for this info haha, i'll keep it in mind next time. gotta go find an application which finds these files now ;D

this is just like you harddrive, een if u format it there are still ways people can retreive every piece of data you had on it before u formatted. this is because the data is still there in the diisks, its just showing that its not there by the system. i think if u format and repplace the harddrive with other files it will overwrite all teh information/data prior to formatting... but its a bit hectic and extreme. i guess u'd have to if u want to hide some really imoportant data though.

i do agree that usb drives are much more convenient... but in a couple of years in time the interenet willl be much faster than it is now. storing large files online may be just as fast as putting them on ur usb drive and putting them online wil give them that dynamic range or accesss. it will also allow for easier sharing of files. people just dont want to re-dl files because it takes time, if it was instant i think it would be alot more popular. i hope that one day we'll be able to access files on the internet as fast as we do off our harddrives... will i may just say that i know this day is upon us ;D

whther or not it is worth it depends on the situation, i honeestly wouldnt go so far as to install a water cooling system... a big fat fan/s would do me just fine, which is exactly wat i did. i bought a giant heatsink and cpu fan.... my old one kept my cpu running at high teemperatures but now its absolutely fine. water cooling is rather extreme, loook for alternatives before you jump the gun ;o

i've never been into these rpg makers... they really dont seem worh the effort iin my opinion. u stated that the graphics for this will be on par with FFVII? wwell ffvii although an awesome game, didnt quite hit it with its graphics. they were rather shocking actually... i guess they were okay at the time, but having such graphics now is rather stupid.

i've tried restoring optomised settings, re-ordering boot records and disconnecting my drives all to no avail. this is the thing, no matter what settings i have in my boot record order in cmos, when it gets to the point where it searches it will only search for CD-ROM. i cannot do anything to fix it, it doesnt even read HDD so its not a HDD problem. this is why i came to the conclusion that maybe its a hardware problem. my onboard mobo memory where cmos settings are kept may have been damaged... but i have no idea how... it may not even be the problem. ;\

i didnt set it up. as stated, my current cmos settings are set so that hdd is the primary boot but when it actually comes down to it, it just searches for boot records from cd-rom alone...

i only have one piece of advice for shyness; stop being shy! force urself to move our of your comfort zone and just have a crack at it. go up and ask him out to lunch, i mean just do it! dont think about it. when you have the guts to do it then go immediately. trust me, after its over u'll feel alot better. it'll boost ur confidence aswell. dont give up so soon, just go for it! ;]

after re-installing windows and messing about with my cmos settings (so that i could boot from cd-rom), i think i somehow buggered up my motherboard. well atleast i think thats the problem. my current cmos settings are set so that the first boot record is HDD and the rest left blank. even so, when i start my computer now it will only search for boot records from cd rom. when it finds that theres nothing it will just state that there is no boot record and stop.i cant get into windows or anything. to fix this, i have to leave my windows xp cd inside the cd-rom drive at startup so that it will detect the cd-rom, ask to boot from cd-rom within next 5 seconds and then when i leave it to skip cd bootup it finally loads the HDD boot records... does anybody know what the hell is wrong with my pc? i'm pretty sure its not my HDDs as it doesnt even load them before asking for boot records. i think i somehow screwed up my motherboard but i havnt touched it at all.. its really annoying. any suggestions?

there is already a thread on this in Xisto. they're stll developing it. shouldn't be finalised any time soon though. i heard they got their storage capacity to up 300GB per disk and plan on making them much much bigger. should be good when it becomes mass produced.

hmm.. well if u've seen the nokia n91 it has 4GB of storage, video/music playback, image viewer, camera and all that neat stuff. pretty nifty if i do say so myself; although i have to agree with brandon that its far better to have individual devices which specialise in their purpose. i think what tripletriangle is trying to say though, is that soon they will have single devices which will be able to produce the same levels of quality as individual items. i also agree with this. ;] i carry seperate gear only because i want the best i can get but i would much prefer to carry one thing around if they had the same level of quality.

i had the same problem but with bittorrent in place of winamp. i found out that it was my firewall which was screwing everything up. bt was being blocked but it kept trying to connect to peers anyway which resulted in a very slow pc. ;\ i had to unblock ports within the modem setup to fix the problem. hope this helps.

from what your saying, it seems as though your boyfriend is just flat out shy. when he's alone with you he doesnt know what to do or say and cant comfortably converse without the support of a close by friend. even then, he'll only chat lil bits to you while he talks mostly to his friend. i do believe he loves you, you just need to give him guidance as to what you want to do together. he may be scared to kiss or hug you because he feels as though somehow your not comfortable with it.next time you see him, tell him that you want to see him alone. when you two are together tell him how you feel about your current relationship and ask him why he acts so alienated. you should also tell him that you want him to kiss and hug you (if that is infact what you want), it will encourage him to make a move next time around as he already has your willing intent.if you really love him you have to try your best to make things work. idling around will not get you anywhere, make the move and have a proper chat with him. all the best with it. ;]

when ur heart is crushed like that, theres not really much u can do. it'll be on your mind for a long time to come, even more so when you see her. i understand where your coming from, it just hurts so bad to see her with your friend... and you truly feel pissed at the both of them. theres not much i can say which will rid you of these feeligns, but it would be wise to divert yourself onto something else; taking your mind off everything related to this crisis. go out with family or find somebody close to you who you can talk to about it. if you get it all out of your system you'll probably feel better. i talked to alot of people and not only did it make me feel better but it also got me really close to them. if you still can't get it out of your head, just keep it kool. don't do anything rash which you know you'll regret later... give it enough time and you'll forget about it sooner than you think. patience is the key.

in some cases in might be okay to hide your feelings towards someone.. i've done it before, but i had good reason in doing so. we all have our responsiblities as people. ;o

lol that's hilarious. next time u see her, go up to her and have a casual talk. talk about how stupid u were when u were drunk, it will at the very least get a good conversation going. if all goes well ask her out to lunch or dinner sometime. tell her u enjoy spending time with her and you wanna see her more often. girls love being noticed, you just gotta be man enough to take action. go get her tiger rawr!

if he has said he likes u atleast once, and meant it, it general does mean he likes you. from what your saying i can only gather that athough he may like you and not be afraid to say so, he may be shy of actually asking you out; or he may be too embarrased. more details are needed to carify how he actually feels, but i assume he does.. saying you like somebody and asking them out are pretty different. he may have another girlthat he likes aswell and may not know who to confront, hes admitted to liking you and might feel as though hes betrayed you if he somehows does end up with that other person. another scenario would be that although he likes you, he might be embarrased of bringing it forward in front of others.. as in he may not waant it to be a direct sort of relationship where you two are put in the spot light. ;T hmm.. why dont you just ask him out? you dont have much to lose ;o girls with guts are cute ;o my ex-girlfriend confessed to me first haha, it was adorable. ;]

hello. my hosting credits recently went into the negatives and my site was suspended. the last few times this happened to me i did some forums posting until my credits went into the positives again. soon after my site would automatically restore itself. going into the negatives this time around, i brought it back up and my site still hasnt been restored. it think its been about 2 days... can anybody help me with this? my cpanel username is kawasu too. thanks in advance. ;]

i was using avg some time ago. it proved very worthy and ran smoothly in the background of windows. i later switched to avant because my friend remmended it to me.. i honestly dont see much dfference between the two of them avast r avant, foret the name(not on my home cpu atm haha) has a nicer gui and overall feel to it but it takes far longer to do system scans. avg was quick and easy; i'd prob much rather it but i cant be bothered un-installing and re-installing apps with the smae general purpose. ad-aware + avg is awes. i dont think i've had any spy/ad ware or viruses in a few good months. funny though, i stick with the basic windows firewall... i ike it the most >_> dont ask me why though.. i dontthink it even does anything haha.

hmm.. i hate online backups.. they take so long to recover and sotre imo. i'd rather a hard copy on another hdd or dvd. the new blue-ray disks are gonna be far more effiecnt for data backup; a whooping 50GB. ;o nice resource though.
