  1. No, it's find. We are all glad to help. However, just to tell you, I would prefer to go for qupis.com or something else, because the name Xisto.com has numbers and it can be hard to type out. However, the best option will be for a .com domain name, and that is what I am using. You can really easily earn it very quickly if you are active on Xisto... like a was a few months ago, and after that, you will get more visitors to your site. I promise. Nameless_ If you have anymore questions, by the way, feel free to create another thread on it. We are all here to help.
  2. Hey eddy. TO get started, you will have to get myCENTS under you name. To do that, you will have to go to xisto's billing and support centre: https://support.xisto.com/ and then sign up with the same email that you have here. After that, wait for a few hours and you should be able to see mycents after you name. Now you will just have to post and worry about nothing until you reach enough funds (a minimum of two dollars) to get a package. I can easily earn two bucks in a day, so good luck!!!
  3. Hey hey... just checked!!! I didn't expect to win anything, as of course, I am the newest member here that is participating in Xisto's annual awards, so I was EXTREMELY surprised when I found myself to be the most creative Trapper17 of the year. Seriously. Me??? I swear inverse_bloom should deserve that more than me, as I haven't gotten one vote for for any SOTWs that I participate in, suck at CSS, and need help from everyone here. But anyway... I suppose I'm glad I gotten an award for the most creative trapper, though I really think that that award should be given to someone else apart from me. Liking art and graphics doesn't mean you are good at it.But congratulations to everyone who won something this year! I will be back again for the next one, and I am extremely glad that I decided to join Xisto a few months ago. It was worth it. Great community!!!
  4. Hey, its looking great! I can't wait to see what the end result might be. It might be better if the background became a bit more "graphical" too, and has more pictures, as it is looking rather plain right now. Perhaps a subtle gradient might to the trick. Also, the banner is great, but I think it can do with a bit of refining. I don't know what, it just doesn't look that well... the Font is OK, in my opinion, but the banner seems to be cut off and the gradient doesn't really to the trick. :)Cheers. By the way, if anyone needs of graphics I'm here to help, though I don't think I'll be able to do really pro ones though.
  5. Voted!!! It's great, I hope the next SOTW will come out soon though.
  6. OK, web_designer, I see that you are very confused here, so I will attempt to get you out of your confusion.co.cc IS considered as a domain, but I see that you want to move your hosting to Xisto. You also want to move your domain from whatever hosting company that you have joined to Xisto. Is that correct? So it's co.cc and hosting to Xisto. Okay...To move your co.cc domain into Xisto, you will have to change the Domain Nameservers. The domain nameservers of Xisto are, as mahesh2k had said: ns.computinghost.com ns2.computinghost.comOnce you have done that, you can easily add your domain from Xisto's cpanel. But to get your cpanel, you have to buy hosting. Currently, the only hosting that you can afford is the logic plan, which is $1.95 for a month. To order it, log in into your Billing and Support Centre, where you first joined to get your myCENTS, and then on the right side of the page, you should be able to see a link "Order" or something like that to make your order. After that, order your hosting package on the linux server (I will explain more later), and tick the cheapest package, as that is the only one that you can use. You should be mailed for more information after that, if you registered your hosting properly. Now for the linux server, it just means that the server is linux. It has nothing to do with you. You just do whatever you usually do, and it will be fine. I don't exactly know why the linux server is more recommended, but it is, and that is what I use as well. You don't have to worry about anything, as you do not need to know anything about linuxes. It just means that the "computer" that hosts your website is of a linux make...Any more questions?Also... just read your post. No, co.cc isn't a proper domain. It is just a free domain name provided my co.cc. You cannot register co.cc anywhere else. However, you do not have to register co.cc, as you already have to domain co.cc. All you have to do is to point your domain nameservers (DNS) to Xisto, like I said above. When you order for your hosting package, you don't order the domain with it.You only order the hosting package, and you put in your co.cc domain as a domain that comes with it. Do you understand?
  7. Hey people... long time no see!Actually, I posted a few days ago, but anyway. I have joined zazzle!!! Thanks to my love of art and web graphics I have decided to join zazzle, but of course, I will probably earn nothing out of it. I don't even know how to use the site, but I thought that it is a great way to make some money online and donate it to charity, as well as honing in to my gfx creating skills, which, of course, you can see that I am a big failure due to my SOTW comments that I get back.Is anyone else here on zazzle? I reckon it's a great site to join, and some people have said that they can earn a full time income off that, though I am just looking for a way to donate to charity. But I probably wouldn't get anything out of it anyway. Will keep you updated though if I am allowed to. Probably will make a thread on every thing that I make and I will probably be called a spammer, but anyway... :(I'm really into this money making thing (for charity) now. Especially now that my paypal account is working (woo hoo!) and I can join now without and hassle, thanks to my paypal help shouts in the shoutbox for the past few weeks. I'm just plain glad to be back in Xisto. :PNameless_
  8. I still don't really know how to use Joomla! Properly, even though I have tried it out, but I can help (or try to help, probably will mess up the codes instead, if you know me. ) on Drupal and Wordpress. If it's just plain graphics that we are talkign about, then that is no problem. I'm always here to help. I don't really know what GFXTrap is for though, so I'm not sure. I think it is somewhere in between, with graphics but not too much and over the page. I think that colour might be a bit too dull though. I was thinking along the lines of grey with red, orange and/or green or yello. Bright blue can also be intergrated but with grey, it's just a bit... you know, not too colour protruding and a bit too "conservative". I think that a graphics site should be more graphical. And use more bolder and brighter colours. Oh my god!!! I sound professional then!!! YEEESSSS!!! Haha, OK.
  9. Haha, no worries. I don't want the new nameless to feel bad about being here. I can see that namelesss is interested in the stuff I (Nameless_) am in, so really, I don't think they will start spamming the forum on full and doing everything like that. But anyway. It's great, I suppose. You always learn something new everyday, though a new sheepdog will be... CRAZY!!! Happy new year everyone, and that's a bad name for a dog that can't hear. You're so mean!!!
  10. Hey, I love it. It's simple, cool, and it rocks. Very nice, and you can tell that is is a winter theme (or on a rainy, cold day), without any prominent features of winter. Keep up the good work man. Haha... How did you manage to do that??? Seriously.
  11. Hey, thanks a lot. Your signature has a winter feel as well, though it is rather hot in winter here. No snow or coldness, but the desert wind and the bushfire heats blowing in your face whenever you open the window or whenever you go out for a walk. It's boiling.
  12. YES! I have found the signature of the week thread. OK, I am now going onto Photoshop and making one really quickly. The bad thing is that I lost all of my brushes for the system upgrade of my Mac OSX so this will be rather plain. But anyway. I'm working on it now: Yes, that's great. I can't wait until GFX Xisto expands. And get more visitors. I don't know why I'm doing this but I like it. Here's my entry:
  13. I love CSS. Not sure if I've replied to this thread before, but CSS is so easy to learn, so easy to understand, the the format is easy to use, and it is so easy to integrate and very very functional and easy to use. I actually learned it from w3 schools.com, and I recommend it for all the new beginners because it is very simple to understand on the website.I don't know if it is just me, but it seems like the books make things much much more complicated. In fact, I learned all of my scripting from w3schools, and while I may not be good at it and understand everything, I know basic scripting. But I don't really know how they work though. So I can only edit small snippets, like change the colour and things.
  14. Are there even any visitors on GFXTrap now? I'm not sure if it is still an active site, but if you use Wordpress or Drupal, I can help. For Drupal, there is also a forum thing if needed, though I think Xisto is enough, but the website is very very outdated, if I must say. If Tramposch wants, I can spin out some graphics too. But I will leave all the scripting and stuff to the professionals, unless we are talking about using a Wordpress of a Drupal CMS. I never really got around to understanding Joomla!.At Tramposch: Aw... I saw your template. You draw and write like a ten year old. And haha, sig of the week winner. yeah, I like that a lot. Yeah, it's cool. I'm going with your template, but for some reason I see grey as the template colour. Not sure if that is what you want, but it seems to fit. Do you think I can post as well? Also, it would be nice if the signature of the week winner gets a link to their site. In support of Xisto hosting.
  15. Hey, that's cool. By the way, welcome to Xisto. This is a hosting company, in case you haven't noticed, so you can host your blog up on a proper domain name and a server, so you can gain more visitors then, but anyway. You'll have to get mycents up, but I'm not sure if you are interested. Xisto is a really really good community though, so I hope that I'll see you around active and bouncing about. If you need any help, just ask the members and they will do that. :PAnyway, cheers, and have a happy new year!!!
  16. Isn't it the other way round? If I remember, if you hold their eyes for four seconds, then it's a flirting crush, but if you look away quickly, then it's a embarrassed thing. I mean, don't you get nervous when your crush is around you? So if you have the guts to look at the person in their eyes, then you probably are flirting, but if not, then your emotions will probably get so worked up that you just can't. Or that's what I think.
  17. That may be alright if people just wanted to edit one or two letters, but for anwii, I don't really think he cares about spelling or grammar. He just want to get his point across and that is all. Look at his posts. Most of the time his posts are the longest, with whole paragraphs and takes up half of the whole entire page. In the middle of posting, it is easy to get carried away and post some arguments that you may not agree on later on, or miss out on something that is very crucial to your argument. Editing allows your posts to be edited and refined, and I think anwii needs that a lot. But anyway, I guess it can't be helped, thanks to those cheaters.
  18. Is green meant to be for creativity? I thought orange was. That is the reason why I always colour my subject art in my timetables an orange colour, though I must say that orange and green suits each other and they look very creative together. But for me, I actually quite like the current insignia, if you don't mind me saying. Looks very creative in itself. Haha, I agree. I was a sig maker before, but after I joined Xisto, I didn't do it anymore because the Signature forums are dead. I even created a thread on it, but rarely anyone answered it, and most of them who did just agreed that the signature forums are dead. But I suppose it is because of all the sig mods that left some time ago. (Like you who left two months ago. ) There is a SOTW going on right now? Where? What? I must check it out!!! :D And yes, it did halt, so I thought it was still on halt now.
  19. That may be true, if you look into each others eyes for longer than usual. But something else is also true: If you look into each others eyes and both quickly glance away, out of embarrassment or anything similar. But I guess it's hard to tell, huh? Normal people will try and hide their feelings for another person.
  20. That's great! The Graphics Crew has been very inactive for ages, apart from Tramposch, and I think that's the only one. I don't think Saint Michael or rvalkass are in it, though they should be, as rvalkass and saint michael participates a lot in them, as well as true fusion and a few more that I may have forgotten... Sorry!!! :)Maybe Baniboy as well? Not sure. But I guess it really needs updating. Anyway, I'll keep a tab on this thread and I will look for any new updates.
  21. I don't think it really matters whether it is a smokefull cigarette or a smokeless one. The fact that you are meant to breath in foreign objects that isn't natural is bad in itself already. I mean, eating is normal, but breathing things other than oxygen wouldn't be reccomended. I guess cigarettes are just harmful to humans, whether they are tobacco filled or not. Problems often come up when someone is using something that isn't made naturally to be used for the body, if you get what I mean.
  22. Perhaps, but I think it was the same before I started blogging, however. But a blog post takes ages to write. It isn't like a forum reply or anything like that, because you can just start typing without know where you will end. I tend to edit and edit and edit my blog posts a lot, so I guess all the typos will be fixed by the time I get it up on the site. But I mean, typos still happen, and sometimes you just can't stop them from happening. There was a period, if I remember, where I had lots of typos that kept coming and I had to stop and edit my posts and that took a long time because of that. Practice makes perfect, but usually I won't edit a post just for a typo, unless it changes the whole meaning, like "not" and "now", which are rather similar in the typing, and it can change what the sentence say a hundred and eighty degrees around. Ten minutes is still a short time, because sometimes I post, then I go somewhere else to post, and them I come back again and "DING!", the ten minutes is up. I don't edit my typos though. I sometimes need it to add some one material to it (not in a cheating way), but that is really quite rare. I don't usually notice the edit button, but not that it's gone, I am starting to miss it a lot.
  23. Er... thanks for the comment. Sometimes? When? But I suppose it is true (quoting the rest of your reply as it is way too long). Many people just feel the chemistry. It's like a jump in your heart whenever you see the person or something like that, but you never really understand fully what the person is like. If that person likes you back, they act differently around you, probably their "good" side. This is why crushes happen, because people fall in love with one another without fully understanding what they are like. They think that this person is a perfect female or a male specimen and they go with it, without actually knowing them completely. I mean, everyone has their ups and downs, and bad times and good times. No one is perfect. Your crush may throw a tantrum at home or have a hobby of killing insects. This is why people, after knowing that the person that they like like them back, feel incomplete and not good enough for them, because they understand that they are not a perfect human being with no ups and downs but they think that the other person is. (Hey! I can use this as a post on my blog. YES!!! Thanks anwii.) And that is why many people break up in marriages. because it is then that they find out the truth... *sound effects and drum roll*... of LOVE. Haha. (great, I just ruined the moment)
  24. Sorry for double posting: I guess ten minutes has passed already, huh? I only replied to one other thread before I came back to change this, but just looked up in my FileZilla files and I found to robot.txt, so I guess that is one questions solved. The remaining problem remains: How do I delete my annoying sites folder? Haha, thanks. I thought it was the settings.php so I went in and deleted the whole entire thing IN the text-file, and so now I only have a blank page in my settings.php but I still can't delete the file!!! (and the rest of the folder as well). This is really bugging me.
  25. Haha... thanks guys. Nameless was always my original screen name ever since I decided to get one and not use my real name. It was actually "Nameless Soul" first (though now that I look back, I really do prefer "Nameless One", and then I thought that was way too long and use Nameless now, and my current name if it is taken already. But most of the time the original Nameless on the forum is dead. LIke, inactive.Either way, it's cool that this happened. First time ever, so I was a bit shocked. But I guess I was never the original "nameless" like you, calkid. My generation is already a few decades after the first computers and the first social networking sites. But anyway.@rob86: I never know what to do if I run out of ideas, so I would usually a day for ideas to come to me. I use Liquidfire now though. Not original, I guess, but its cool... It's my backup one.
