  1. Your main strong point is in grunge work and along those lines. You're pretty good with big artwork. (I'ma exclude user bars as well from my decision.) I wonder how would you do with requests; your artwork is basically centered more on your interests (excluding the first logo). Based on most of your artwork i would vote yes, but i would like to see more variety in styles from you.
  2. Please read the pinned topic to see your requirement(s) in Request Free Sig Or Banner section. Click here In the mean time please improve your post quality and continue to contribute quality posts.
  3. Bland? No where near finished? Looks finished to me. That's very good and professional. There's not much to say about it. I mean, i don't see anything that needs some touch-ups or modifications.
  4. Likewise with the other comments. If you used the GIMP to make these, good---that is quite good for the GIMP! But there are some things you could work on with the sigs, and like always: I look for more than just sigs. The logo you have there is good, but one is not enough to have me vote yes. Some things i'd suggest to work on in the sigs area: Render interaction with background (blending). Borders Multiple brush-style usage. Multicolored backgrounds. Text not so much, 'cause i understand that the GIMP does not have many options for text (if you're using the GIMP).
  5. Ah, it's hard standing next to two sigs that are full of color. And i vote for you, Sentress! The design of it is quite an eye catcher. Nice use of the render, nice text, and nice placement of everything. The design on the other sigs is getting old. I know it's hard to be unique, but even one small difference/change is nice every once in a while.
  6. Read about? What are your sources; newspapers? If so, you're kidding me! If you actually did a real study on Islam you would know that Islam condemns those kind of actions. Even Muslims don't like what those people are doing that claim to follow Islam. You know, for someone that claims to be a Christian, you're really not giving a good name to Christianity. May peace, love and grace be within you.
  7. All i have to say is: Good thing you can't judge religion by its followers! Who says atheists and theists can't be friends? Who says there's no such thing as an atheist that prays to God? But i must say, mr ? impressive, your feeling of being "attacked" is nothing. And i also must say that this post of yours contradicts your own religion.
  8. The bright blue in the NAV does not go well with the background colors, they both "collide" (if you will). The black splatter of striped paint in the banner "collides" as well with the rest of the colors in the banner. The green text in the banner can be a bit disturbing when looking directly at it; if it were a darker green it would be better. The banner, nav and content area have little interaction with the background. It has a floating feel to it—is that what you were going for? I would try to have the stripes in the background work as if it were a frame to "hold" everything in place.Overall, i like the design on the banner. I would just replace the background colors with the colors used in the content area—each according to its shade; maybe a more brighter pink than the (dark) pink that's used for the header and footer of the content area.
  9. Logo A: more suitable for headers for its width. Plus, like Kubi said, it's more active?it catches the eye more. Also, i like the "3D-ness" of the object to the right of the text.Logo B: good for stamping stuff with. If shrunk down, could make a good avatar. Maybe a border would do nicely here. Not so much good for a header, for it does not take up as much space as logo A.
  10. It seems the best thing to do is to just be there with and for him, whenever possible. Everyone may leave him, but he may acknowledge that you're here to stay. Be sad when he's sad, and be happy when he's happy. Sure, it's humanly impossible to be always faithful, but he may acknowledge your efforts in trying to be there for him. There's not much i can say, i've never had a friend that made it known to me that they were considering suicide.
  11. Plan what is good, and you will find love and faithfulness.I did not realize you were there when they were yelling at him about it. Yeah, you could/should have stepped in, but keep in mind the sentence above. I can't give any further advice, for i don't know what the future holds for you. Sorry, but it all depends on you right now. You can only learn from this experience. An offense repeated separates close friends.
  12. You're gonna have to be more informative if you want our help. What you provided is far too general to even know where to begin. What has happened in his life that he should be considering death? He must feel there's no meaning in his life anymore to be considering such a thing. But still, why...? Why does he think/believe that?
  13. You can't blame your friends for it—they did the right thing; you would probably be blaming yourself if it was you that talked to him about it and got dumped because of it. If he could have spent that time with you instead—he should have. How long did you wait before your friends went in and told him what he needed to hear? Were you busy with something else that prevented you from doing so? If he dumped you for such a reason—that was his folly, and probably meant that he didn't like you as much as you liked him. But what are my words? Breakups do stink.
  14. There's more than what that web page has, but i guess the creators of that site figured that would be convincing enough. All of those i had already known about, though. But for some reason, even with all these facts, people still don't believe.
  15. Ah, i was just about to question that. But nice that we get to see honorary titles on the side. And spam patrol could have their own little banner as well, if possible.
  16. By, "Adobe CS," you mean everything with those words, or just Photoshop? What you want can be done in Photoshop and/or Illustrator, and that's just with basic knowledge of these programs. The best thing i can do for you right now is suggest that you look up some tutorials for these programs. Good-tutorials Pixel2Life
  17. Could you fix the URL for the link to the image? It seems to have been cut short.
  18. I looked at this yesterday, but if the HDD comes in today, i may be able to fill this out today or tomorrow. Ah, i'ma have to master the GIMP..

    God

I was hoping you could answer my question since you're not limited (as you claim) like we are. Perhaps being not limited to something doesn't provide any other alternative, anyways? There's a good chance that you were thinking, "'Cause God said so," which to you is no reason at all. But it's more than that: they all include more than one reason. This is where understanding kicks in. Meh, i took a crack at it. I myself have never heard of anything of the sort. ! What can i say to this? It's like saying, "I'm eating an apple right now." But you must've been talking about lucid dreaming. But even then one has already started dreaming. They didn't tell themselves what to dream. And i tell you, i'm sure i would never be able to come up with some of the things i've dreamed about?it's just too weird. Have you ever heard the statement: "God uses life to teach people"? Your explanation was quite similar to what i was going with, only, for me, the ball is a person. But, yeah, i couldn't come up with a hard one. I wanted to come up with one that is similar to like the ones you'd find in the Book of Daniel?but that's prophecy. Maybe when i can come up with one that matches up with prophecy i'll post it. You think i asked the questions for no reason? You believe they were actually rhetorical? Why didn't you answer my questions so that i may have a better understanding? If it's too personal, then say so, and leave it at that. You said God can't answer your question, and i said He can and has. You were basically, indirectly, asking, "Why does God allow suffering?" Can one properly answer a question about God without referring to Him? Perhaps you don't want the answer to your question.

[1]I, too, don't accept things without first examining/testing things. Many times i have had to go out and find the answers myself, as well. [2 & 7]What are the better options? And we obey 'cause we love. Just like we obey our parents. [3]There are plenty of verses in the Bible that have been scientifically proven (e.g. the water cycle, the Earth is a sphere/round; to name a couple). [9]They're labeled that for a reason. It's an easy access to wisdom. If you know about it beforehand, there's a higher chance of avoiding it. I have a Proverb for you: Proverbs 28:5. In the Qur'an, it says that God turned all angels who disobeyed Him into disturbing, ugly-looking beings. Purgatory is a Catholic belief where they are not checked for their sins, but rather are those who are saved but need some punishment before entering Heaven. It's an addition to scripture derived from these verses: Matthew 5:26; Luke 12:59. [1]Could you do me a favor? Tonight when you go to sleep, make yourself dream about flying in the clouds, while burgers with wings accompany you, and have them say, "Welcome to Burger Heaven. May i take your order?" Oh, and feel free to add anything you'd like to the aforementioned story. [2]You're right, it is what i believe in. But even i provided some proof on why i believe it. Why do you believe it's not a gift from God? Surely, it can't be because my statement is illogical. But, for the sake of conversation, allow me to give a possible dream and you interpret it. Let's say a metal ball is rolling around the earth. It rolls into the sea, and it rusts. It comes out of the water and unto some rocky ground. The rocky ground scratches the metal ball up a lot. It rolls off a cliff and gets dented. Then a bright ray of light shines on it, and that light heals the ball completely (no rust, scratches or dents) and gets lifted and placed upon a bed of flowers. End of dream. If you're willing, please, interpret the dream. [3]No, not instantly. You yourself have to first shun Him plenty of times—which is about as many times as He has called you—before He shuns you. But, even then, He only stops calling you out for a while. [4:1]I am sure. It makes us realize all other blessings. Was your suffering as bad as Job's? Did your suffering make your body reject food? Did your suffering get worse after waking up? [4:2]That's not true, for even i know the answer. If you had read the Bible you would realize why such things happen. You'd be surprised how many times it answers such a question. [4:3]Reference: 1 Corinthians 10:13. Read the Book of Psalms, then you may understand where that response leads to.
  21. The example you gave isn't really stupid, but it doesn't help you. For what question does it answer? It's as much of a statement as my statement: "God created [this]". And how is it not supported by any other (true) statements? You must've not read the Bible. We start from the Bible and start making connections. And i'll tell you, we've made a lot of connections. There is nothing new in the world. What has happened has happened, and will happen again. So, it's not so much their experience, it is our own as well, for we've gone through the very same things. Our experience is also their experience. Also, just 'cause there are similarities, it does not mean that they're an evolved form of another species?that is just conjecture.
  22. Yes, this is one form of contribution. Another is giving advice on other artwork: sigs, wallpapers, etc. Thanks for filling this out, btw. I was uncapable of filling this out: my HDD died a long time ago?lost everything, and i'm currently running off a Live CD of Linux till my (new) HDD arrives.
  23. Although Catholics are Christians, in a sense, for they accept Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, but they are not Christians due to certain beliefs and practices. Christians have separated from them a long time ago. Catholics accept things they shouldn't, and they have been known to add to scripture although the Bible condemns that (1 Corinthians 4:6). [1]The site itself mentions that they have to put aside the Genesis account in order to believe in evolution. A real Christian believes in the whole Bible.[2]How many congregations are there in the world? Surely it must be way more than what is mentioned in this article. So how can one claim that there is a considerable group of people, when it's really minority? [3]Heh, my friend believes the same thingand he rejects all scripture. How much scripture must this person reject to claim such statements? Might as well be like my friend and reject all scripture. How do you know? You met them all? Just 'cause they're not fundamentalists mean that they don't take the Bible literally? And that article is unreliable and debunking. Then why the need for computer simulations and drawings?
  24. hmmmmm...... Which is true? They're both true. Reason you don't believe such is 'cause you believe that evolution is Science?this is where our beliefs differ. [1]Who are these people?[2]I remember seeing a poll on how the Bible should be read, in a Christian forum, and i think 98% of the poll said people read the Bible literally (i'd provide a link to the topic, but i can't find it). The only time a person might not/wouldn't/shouldn't take certain verses literally are those that are poetic, speak in parables, prophecy, etc... Basically everything else should be taken literally. [3]Mhmm. Yes, that was my point. This part can be answered a couple of ways: Because certain people state, "Well, i'm a Science person, that's why i don't believe in God."?even though you can be a Science person and believe in God. Better to ask those who ask us to prove God with Science.
  25. So you're saying that saying, "God created [this]," isn't logical enough? We support creationism with Intelligent Design (I.D.). And there's the watchmaker argument?still not logical enough? Our proof is what we see and the logic behind it. Isn't that what the theory of evolution is based on as well? I've been in this discussion with glenstein, already: We believe by how things are presented. And I.D. provides a good enough presentation.
