Gfx Crew And Other Credit Bonuses I think we should get a bonus
truefusion replied to BooZker's topic in Web Hosting Support
I must agree with this. Why get paid for something that we volunteered to do in the first place? If this idea of yours, Boozker, were to go out, everyone would wanna have an honorary title just for the extra credits and so long as there are others doing the job for them, they coud just sit there earning extra credits for no reason. Did you consider how we would keep track of everyone with honorary titles? If you want extra credits, help support Xisto by purchasing them. -
Confused In Phpmyadmin Dont know what to do anymore
truefusion replied to BooZker's topic in Programming
Boozker, do you have any popular PHP script installed on your Xisto account (e.g. WordPress, SMF, etc), anything that uses MySQL to store data? If so, learn from those. Look at how those databases are set up in PHPMyAdmin. If you have your own server on your computer installed with MySQL, get the MySQL Tools from the MySQL site (i'd recommend using the Query Browser). Learn from all of these things. Also, doesn't PHPMyAdmin show you the queries that were used when navigating through it? You remind me of myself when i first took a look into all of this. So much too learn, and so much time to do it in! -
I see... And 'cause of this you place your wants (desires) before others, thus thinking about turning down what could have been a good or great time for them or both of you? Even friends go out and do things; you don't have to consider this a date and just inform her of that. I personally prefer brains over looks.

For quickies and five minutes they are not bad. You should place one on top of the other and mess around with layer masks, see what you can get with that. Maybe a version 3? Reminds me of an old technique you've discovered a long time ago, only with the spatter effect. Spatter is the name of the effect, right? I can't remember... I'm a GIMP person now.

You know this how? But it feels like there's something you're not telling us. In my opinion, you have not given us much of a reason as to why you're avoiding her besides that you are "that kind of a person." You also claim to be a nice person, yet you did not call her back although you said you were—is that really a nice thing to do? If you don't wanna go to places with her, then be honest and tell her that. Better to let them down before anything serious happens than to wait until something serious happens and then let them down. However, if you don't wanna appear to be rude, then just say that you just wanna be friends—just that, until you get to know the person more or something—and go out as friends. Be sure to call her...

Are Girls Prettier Without Makeup? Vote & Say You Thoughts
truefusion replied to lihuyt's topic in Health & Fitness
In my opinion and personal preference, girls are better off without it. But i do understand if it is required for their occupation. True love does not look at the person on the outside (as cliche as that sounds) but on the inside. If you were to look at a person that has been wearing make-up everytime they've hung out with you and then suddenly stopped wearing make-up, you might be amazed (in more ways than one). And about your GF: Are you implying that she looked ugly when she wore make-up, like she didn't know how to put it on properly or something? -
Atheist Are So God Forsaken Smug im totally serious
truefusion replied to mr ? impressive's topic in The Vent
Indeed you would believe him/it, but i wouldn't. It is a known Biblical fact that if God were to physically and literally enter this universe, all this would be destroyed just by His presence (Deuteronomy 5:24; Exodus 33:20). This is one of the reasons why God does not physically and literally show Himself. We have not yet been made fit enough to be able to enter His presence and endure. There has been some that have been made fit (e.g. Moses, Elijah, Jesus), if i'm not mistaken, but not us. -

truefusion replied to mr ? impressive's topic in The Vent
Many have come to the faith because it does make sense to them (and still continues to), and 'cause they put Scripture to the test. If it were not so, they would have never believed in the first place. And Science has helped others increase and strengthen their faith. -

If there has been many warnings about such a being (which there has been, but here's one 2 Thessalonians 2:4) and one claiming to be as devoted as they are, wouldn't they deny this being? Also, having high priority among the people doesn't insomuch make you a very devoted person. You're forgetting about Buddhists. Buddhists, if i'm not mistaken, don't believe in any Deity but are quite religious. -
Well, you got the depth part down; a bit too much, but at least you know what you can stop working on and try out other basics. Did you use your brush set here? Some of it seems familiar. The colors are quite good. I'd suggest working on contrast and more different styles of brushes. And borders. Text, i always leave for last.

It's not the monitor, it's the operating system. Windows displays things darker than other operating systems 'cause of its low gamma display. Macs have it at about 1.8 (if i'm not mistaken). In Linux you can easily adjust the gamma to whatever you want: i'm still trying to find the option to adjust such a thing in Windows. But back to voting...

[GIMP] Simple Stroke Tutorial Better than Edit Stroke...
truefusion replied to truefusion's topic in General Discussion
[1] -- Pixel font, using this technique; 8px. -- Pixel font, Edit > Stroke Selection; 8px. -- Common font (Arial), using this technique; 11px. -- Common font (Arial), Edit > Stroke Selection; 11px. [2]If memory serves me right, it was over 40-something pixels; maybe 50 pixels to be precise. [3]That was with anti-alias applied. -
There are many Linux Distro's out there which allow you to install straight from the desktop itself: they're known as "Live CD's". Many Distro's, if not all, have a GUI for installation, so it doesn't require any programming knowledge. If you want to install a Linux Distro straight from Windows, you can download the Windows Ubuntu-installer. There are some things about it that it would be better for you to use a Live CD, but it shouldn't be all that big of a deal: you can always uninstall it from Windows.

Simple Stroke Tutorial for the GIMP Note: This tutorial works best with pixel fonts. Intro This tutorial is made to provide an alternative for Edit > Stroke, which does a not-so-good job when it comes to making strokes on curves (and on {certain} objects), as shown below: Tutorial In the main window (should be titled "The GIMP"), click on File > New (Ctrl+N): select whatever resolution you want. Select the text tool () (make sure the text color is black) and click anywhere in the field, type in some text. Duplicate the layer (). Then click Filters > Colors > Value Invert. Select the original layer and click Filters > Blur > Blur. Duplicate the selected (blurred) layer twice. Final There you have it: simple, yet effective. Double-note: This simple technique also works well with other objects (than using Edit > Stroke).

I guess i compressed the image a bit too much , scan lines don't look all that well in the image. Not sure how long it took just to get this far in the template, but it was more than a couple of hours. Though it's usable, i'm not really gonna plan on using this template for anything, so if it gets ripped—oh wells. Anyways, as you can see, the GIMP is a very good GFX program for it being free. Rate and comment on template.

I say "yes" only due to the fact that we get more people in for entries this way?for some reason. I do see one flaw though: Will the SOTM topic-starter remember that they've made a SOTM topic a month after making it? Maybe it should be "Sig Of The bi-Week"??what an odd name at that, but could still work.

Any One Play Runescape? Welcome to runescape materials
truefusion replied to runematerials's topic in Computer Gaming
If you're willing to pay for the former, then you can get that. You just have to specify which one you want (whether a domain name or sub-domain). -
Your way of writing has changed for this specific topic, i find that interesting, but i digress...
Since you've read the whole thing, surely you must've come across all of the scientific facts mentioned in the Bible—surely that means more than nothing, correct? Here's a topic on this very forum about those facts. Could you provide me a list of other religions that has had scientifically proven facts, at least one or the same amount as in the Abrahamic religions? That'd be great. It's hard to understand some translations of other religions sometimes, so even if one did mention at least one scientific fact, i would probably not notice. So you managed to interpret all of Jesus' parables? I'm sure you know why Jesus spoke in parables, correct? If not, i could provide the verse. Also, could you PM your interpretations of all of his parables? That'd be really great. Then it is quite interesting that the pagan gods (idols) and God both give different commands (Psalm 106:36-39; Jeremiah 7:30-31; Isaiah 58:6-7). I'm assuming as in "we" you mean "everyone on earth." But that can't be possible, for there are atheists in this world. And how could having more than one god mean some are inferior? If they are inferior, then they could be easily destroyed. But that would mean they weren't a god to begin with, for a god cannot be destroyed. That pharaoh must've been disappointed at every sunset and/or when the moon overpowered its god during a solar eclipse. What was this pharaoh's name? At what time did he exist? [1]Would you be here without Him?[2]Can you tell a natural disaster, "Do not bother me!" or "Stay far from me!" and it'll obey you? [3]Your accusation is pure conjecture; even more so for one who claims to have read the entire OT. (Isaiah 54:15) [4]Is it not true that we are capable of choosing to be united or not? [5]I believe an atheist would disagree with you here. For one who claims to used to be a Catholic, you forget many things. For instance, God's grace and Judgment Day. Perhaps you're getting tired of waiting? [1]When will we free ourselves from the disbelief of God? [2]You must've not paid much attention when reading the OT. It is a universal Biblical belief that we are creation just like every other form of creation. If we do not need God to make us special ([4]), then why did we create God for Him to make us special ([3]) if we already are special ([5])? [6]What is wisdom if no one uses it properly and if no one understands it? [7]I'm quite sure other animals can protect themselves as well. If i must bring in a known statement ("Survival of the fittest") to prove it, then so be it. And we can't protect everything around us. So, there's nothing special about it.
You are right to say that god doesn't exist and that god is our creation. But God, on the other hand, exists. You speak of nothing new that hasn't already been known over 2000 years ago.

Thinking like this is the reason why there are laws in the first place. Why are you promoting such a fallacy? What one person thinks is right and just does not mean that it is. It seems that you are promoting anarchy. I would expect it to be the other way around: There are more laws for there are (more) criminals doing things that haven't been implemented into the system. But time has passed long enough to have enough laws to cover practically every aspect, or at least one would think.

For a lot of paint blobs you did a pretty good job. Unless you wanted the white paint blobs to have a "connected" feel with the border, i would have gone with a border color that isn't so bright—but that could just be this dark forum theme. Nice text placement and render blending. At first the white blobs wasn't much for me, then it was pointed out. So, yeah, not so bright blobs may help.

Second Sig Request By TypoMage - first one is done
truefusion replied to TypoMage's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Made in the GIMP. TypoMage if you can equal this in your work, you'd have a better chance of getting accepted in the GFX Crew.
