1. I'm for both. They both work well together, most of the time. Infact, many scientists were of an Abrahamic religion. I like to mention, science is here to answer the question: "How did God do it?" Also, if science didn't try to put religion to the test, we would lack knowledge in some areas. As for some 'talking' more than 'walking', like always, you can't blame everyone for other's actions. There are plenty of people in religious groups doing as much 'walking' as they are 'talking'.
2. If you get well with GIMP, then when you get into PhotoShop everything will seem easy as pie. I've messed around with GIMP, and i gotta say it's pretty hard to do several things in it, but what you can do is pretty nice. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
3. The NIV Bible is one of the most accurately translated Bibles available. Many reliable scriptures were used for the making of such Bible. Footnotes and other information inform people of the varieties. Good points. However, it can go either way, cause of uncertainty. Since we weren't there, we have to take other people's words for it. Wow! But, must it be 3 scientists? Be not one scientist, and two other witnesses enough? Or is that one scientist is proned to error? If so, then wouldn't a minimum of 2 scientists be enough? Also, why more than 7 days? Is that, like, a procedure that is taken, just incase?
4. To tell you the truth, three slices are enough for this template. The rest is just applying CSS. And the coding is so easy for this.
5. I was expecting to get multiple results on George W. Bush, but just the fact that the first result has to do with his biography is hilarious. Nice find.
6. Don't worry, i wasn't going to mention Jesus's resurrection. But, now that you've mentioned it, how about Jesus's miracles? You know the one where he rose Lazarus from the dead, what do you think about that? Also [link] (bold by me): I guess there's "no empiric proof" of anyone being raised from the dead, cause it is well hidden; took me a while to find that. But, everything that is hidden shall become visible.
7. Sorry, but i'm not able to fulfill the needs of this final request. My reasons, you have received through PM. Though, i wish you luck with your site.
8. [1]That's good to hear. That would mean if someone were to raise someone from the dead, by the means of prayer, that would contradict (underline by me): Although, the 8 patients test should have already contradicted it. [2]It can be said to be "pure coincidence", and be left at that. But what if another study of the exact same thing would happen again, and the results were the same? Would it still be consider "pure coincidence"? How about if it happened a third time? Still a "pure coincidence"? Truly, i'm not aware of other instances, but now i want to look for more.
9. [A]Indeed. But, i was implying that not everyone who wants eternal life believes in God, or even thinks about a god. Good to know. But, what about my other question?: Can a dead person be aware of things? Also, there was another study, 8 patients. 4 of which were prayed for. They were all diagnosed with the same thing. All prayer was done in the background. None of the patients were aware of it. 4 patients were prayed for, the other 4 weren't. The 4 that were prayed for, came out of the hospital in better, healthier conditions then the ones that weren't prayed for. The interesting part is that they were all treated no differently, besides the fact that 4 of which were prayed for. [C]Hopefully, they find something interesting before i die.
10. I beg to differ on the fur part. One does not require [real] animal fur. It's not a necessity. Even if it's for the cold. We don't grow cotton for no reason. Several people that purchase [real] animal fur to wear, are just doing it to show off. Plus, the alternative is much cheaper, and quite possibly, doesn't even do any harm. Nor do we require alligator-, or snake-skinned materials. Also, I hear make-up has fish ingredients.
11. Ah, the power of suggestion. :)But, um, you should take note of everything that bothers you. Then, write down ways that such a thing could be improved. And carry around sticky notes and something to write with. When you see something you don't like, just write down the "solution" on the sticky note, and just hand that note to the person. If they take it into consideration, good for you. If they toss it away, you can write them another note not to litter. But seriously, if they toss it away, at least you tried. :(And just leave it as that.
12. Not everyone thinks like that. Some people try to - those that don't believe that there is a God - look for a way to make themselves live forever. What do they call it, "The search for the Fountain of Youth"? So, thinking that we believe in a God cause we don't want an end is debatable. But who'd want to live forever, in a world where wickedness is around the corner? Question(s): how can people revive people by prayer? Or heal people by prayer? [1]First, there was nothing. Then, there was heat, then it became compressed to a point where it created a "Big Bang". We all know, we can't create something from nothing. And i think the chances of something like this happening by chance was 10 to the power of 120. Could have been more.[2]Who knows, maybe ten years from now, scientist might actually be able to split electrons, and whatnot. It'd be funny to find nothing inside them.
13. Seems interesting. Good to keep in mind . But what i got from your explanation is something gets predetermined, then the atoms go into action. How do things get predetermined? What creates this predetermination? These things can't predetermine themselves, can they? I know atoms have other, smaller atoms inside of them, but there has to be a limit, right?
14. Nice choice in fonts, but, for the main text, the font makes it look like "Toni" instead of "Tom". Some space inbetween the texts would do well, like a pixel or two, in my opinion, so it doesn't look like "Tom" is resting upon "Ridiculously Ugly". Colors are awesome. Nice choice in render. I give it 8.7/10.
15. [1]Hmm, maybe if you added more to this idea, then it might sound unpleasing. I guess it wasn't sufficient enough to be unpleasing. Now i have questions. [2]I say both. I'm sure one doesn't require a big computer to predict things. But, for my questions. What happens when you're asleep, do the atoms continue working? Is death the cause of these atoms not working? What if these atoms interact the most when you cause some sort of action? Or think even? Are you now in control of these atoms? Meh, i wanna ask more, but i can't think of anymore.
Mind if i add this to my list of quotes?
16. Ever since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, we know for certain that there has been no change in the OT. Most of the changes were mostly in the NT, and there were very few of them. But, the newly updated Bibles correct these changes to what they are supposed to be according to early manuscripts. There has been many other discoveries that the OT bears witness to. Like, the Pharoah's body, that was drowned during the time of Moses, was found and is now in some museum. If you go to the same site, you might still find parts of his army under there. Markings of Noah's ark, exactly the same size that the OT tells us, was found, as well. As for evidence for the Gospels of the NT, there's the linen cloth that was wrapped around Jesus, which is in some church in the east.
17. Is what you are trying to say is: Where there is no law, there is no sin?
18. The Big Bang supports Intelligent Design. Many people are unaware of it, but if there was no Supreme being behind it all, all matter would have been obliterated by anti-matter. So, it is possible that this "Big Bang" is one way things happened through God's Word.
19. [1]There is one sin that is unforgivable. That is blaspheming the Holy Spirit (Mark 3:29). So, God forgives to an extent. [2]Most, if not all, Christian laws are Jewish laws.
20. Lol. One does not have to create everything in order to be omnipotent. All one has to be is above everything, which that is where He is. Yes, He is responsible for giving us freewill. He also gave us a mind with the ability to know what's right and what's wicked. It's our choice for doing wickedness, not His. Thus, we are responsible for our own actions. Cause we can choose whether or not to do wickedness. Looking it at now, i'd prefer to have freewill, at least for a certain amount of time. How about you, would you prefer freewill or no will?
21. There's a post on this that OpaQue made explaining why it's Xisto. I'll look for it and link it. But, it has to do with gaming. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/4510-the-Xisto-story/
22. Well, first let's look back at what i said (underline added by me): No where does that include only/exactly: "God created all." Now, after analyzing everything properly, we can see that God is not the creator of evil. God created all that is good, but what man does with this goodness can be wicked. Since everyone is responsible for their own actions, you can't really blame God for the actions of humans, since we have freewill. I agree. But all will be made clear soon. As a side-note: Darwin's theory isn't new, to tell you the truth. Many materialistic philosophers since acient Greece had been saying the same thing. Darwin just basically brought it "back to life". Truly, it would be quite possible for evolution to take place, but there are many things to look at. It's like a puzzle that can never be finished. I know people who believe in God, but also believe that God used evolution to bring about life, and all the species in the world. Such is quite possible, but, again, may never be proven. There are too many difficulties for both sides. It can go either way. Though, i find Darwin's theory to be struggling more than other religions, in a matter of speaking.
23. [1]I guess that would be correct.[1:2]It's possible. But, what if such a thing happened exactly when they were born? [2]If the human brain comes from our own beliefs and thoughts, how can the spirit be the yang of the brain (since, this would mean: the brain does not exist)? Also, where are these beliefs and thoughts coming from, if they're not from the human brain? Where are they stored? Does not the brain bring about thoughts?
24. I voted for the third one cause it seems most fitting for your kind of website. The others just doesn't have that certain feel to it.
25. This "answer" does not answer my question: Where did the human brain come from? All it does is make me ask the very same question, again. If you will be so willing, please try to answer it.
Now, in response to the rest of your post: It doesn't make sense only to those who don't know how to perceive it. Most people compare and contrast things with themselves. In some cases, this would create confusion. Such is this case. God created all that is good. Man, unfortunately, brought pain and suffering upon themselves and to things around them. Where there is freewill, there is the possibility of wickedness. As far as proof goes: i believe because of proof. This Douglas Adams person failed to take every aspect of faith and proof. For example, all evidence that refuted Darwin's theory of evolution is proof that increases faith in believers of God. Also, the fact that the linen cloth that was wrapped around Christ Jesus's body still exists to this day, and no one has yet to make a copy of it - is just more proof. Personal experiences are also known as proof. If you look back in time, you'll realise that Darwin had no proof for several of his theories. He debated with many because of his faith in his "discoveries". Many other "discoveries" were forgeries (e.g. "Piltdown man"). In this day and age, all who continue to believe in Darwin's theory of evolution is based on faith, not proof. I'd like you to do some research on a couple of things: Cambrian Explosion, and living fossils. I'll leave you with these quotes:
