1. The spirit and the mind are two separate things. But, before i answer your question, i'ma ask you a question: Where did the human brain come from? Now, to answer your question. Although my answer is incomprehensible to you. God is uncreated, He did not come from anywhere, but rather He is everywhere.
2. Questions: Where did the spirit come from? Where did the mind come from?
3. Ok, everything requested should be in the ZIP file. If i missed anything, let me know. Btw, hover effects for nav may not work properly in IE, since the CSS is imported. XHTML valid.ZIP via PM.
4. God exists, i bare witness to it. Anyone who truly believes, God makes Himself known to them. It's not blind faith. Many have their own stories on how God has made Himself known to them. I, too, have my own. Anyone who doesn't believe, God may not make Himself known. Sometimes, He does make Himself known to "non-believers". Just, many don't notice it. It's how God works. Those that know God, know this. Those who have eyes to read, let them read.
5. If it's based on previous actions, then the questions come up: What were my previous actions? Were they bad actions? Were they good actions? If they were bad, is that why i am here today, to start anew? If they were good, why am i still here; aren't i supposed to be in a better place? But, most importantly: Why don't i remember these previous actions?I think: we are born once, and die, then get judged. Surely, it may be possible your theory (which isn't new). But, i have too many unanswered questions to believe such. If i were to have blind faith in this theory, there will always be these questions at the back of my head, unanswered. What if i was addressed by someone with these very same questions, like i'm doing to you now? I wouldn't be able to answer that person, cause i'm ignorant in this field. So, how would i be able to prove my case? Well, i can't. This is just one reason on why i believe that we only get one life, unless God planned there for me to have another. But, if that were the case, i'd like to know such a plan beforehand.
6. God is pure Spirit. He's unbegotten. But to tell you the truth, He's over 99 good things. If i were to take the time to write down everything He is, it would take me a long while, and even then i might have not written everything that He is. Maybe someone else can write all 99+ down . Eventhough we say "He", He's not male nor female, at least that's what i heard. Though, it makes sense since He's pure Spirit. The three main attributes that are Him are: Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient. These three attributes no one else can have without God giving it to them. But, this is just my short opinion based on facts.
7. You're right, it's not. At best it's more than noob: better than noob. Sig making is for fun. If people wanna get better at it, then they read up on tutorials like this one. Tutorials are here to help. Don't criticize help when available. If you know it can be done better, then do so, and post it here in a new topic. I would like to see your words put to good use.
8. Matthew 26:39, Mark 14:36, Luke 22:42. Explain these verses for me, if they don't relate to this. If God wills to make it last until Christ's "second coming", then it would last to Christ's "second coming". Meaning, Jesus doesn't have to be God in order for it to last even into this generation. All Jesus has to do is be crucified. And Jesus doesn't have to be God in order for this sacrifice to take affect. So long as God wills. Which apparently, God did will. Again, if God willed, He could make Jesus not constrained to time. If God wills, He could make Jesus an immortal. Nothing is impossible with God. After Jesus is done, he'll give over the Kingdom back to God. How can Jesus give over the Kingdom to God if he is God? 1 Corinthians 15:24-28
9. I think there should be a version three with these suggestions: Keep the text from v2, but increase it a bit in size, and make it bolder. Make the background a little brighter, but not as bright as the first one. Same goes for the render: a bit brighter, but not as bright as the first.
10. I was informed of this by PM, and i decided to look it up. Found several articles about it. It has been discovered that plants are capable of crying out for help. You can continue the story here: https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg15320720-800-stressed-plants-cry-for-help/ What do you guys/gals think about this?
11. Jesus is not God. There's more evidence against this statement than there is for it. Loyal believes in God. He's just asking a few things.
12. Yes like that. But, one doesnt need their image-host to do the work for them. Anyone that can make a wallpaper should be capable of resizing their wallpapers to a smaller size using the same program they used to make the wallpaper. I'm not aware of other image-editing programs, but in Photoshop, when exporting (saving for web), you can tell it to resize the exported image. And with Xisto's image gallery, both images (thumbnail and original-sized wallpaper) can be hosted here. Oh, and when submitting the entry you can provide the bb-coding as well to make it easier for the topic-starter.
13. I'm for this idea. Especially since it's a of-the-month thing. But, i suggest a rule of thumbnail. Contestants would have to make a thumbnail view of their entries as well, for download and layout reasons. This will require more work for the topic starter, but it helps in the long run. The thumbnails would be image links, when clicked on, would direct you to the actual full-sized wallpaper.
14. First of all, it's 'Divine' not 'Devine'. Devine is a city in Texas. In your 'origin of religion', you state the "first humans". Since you mention evolution, without claiming what kind, i assume you mean macro-, so the first humans would have to be cave-men, or some form of ape that were tall enough, and looked somewhat human (like "big-foot" ). If that's so, they are far too primitive to even be able to ask the question: "How did this all come about?" And if they are able to ask such a question, then it must mean they're not as primitive as we thought they are, cause they are capable of doing what we can, and cannot become extinct so easily. Meaning, we (modern humans) are the first humans. In response to: "a homologous society formed a unique and uniform code for activities," although, human hands did write this "code" down, it does not need to be written down in order for it to be followed. Since, some of these things are pre-installed in the mind, and some our parents teach us cause of their experiences with certain things. In your 'purpose of religion', you mention religion is based on "folklore and customs". Keep in mind, Science has to do with this also. Yet, Science isn't supposed to be acknowledging a Divine Being. In your 'ideal nature of modern religion', i dont believe you answered your own question: Also, i dont believe you took every aspect, in order to answer your three questions. Such would have required a lot more work, and a lot more writing.
15. I agree with this. Everything is written in a way where anyone can figure things out for themselves. If you look at most religions today, and look at the scriptures or Bibles they use as a basis for their religion, and study them carefully, you'll come to find that many things that some people preach aren't supported in their scriptures or Bibles. And some of the things they preach contradict their own scriptures or Bibles.
16. Meh, i hope i'm not the only one in this. But, i figured i'd join in this one. It's been a while.
17. Heh, knowledge is everywhere, just gotta know where to look. But, glad it helped. Good to hear that you understand.
18. Remove the question mark from every instance of: $Canweputthisonthewebsite? Such would fix the problem. Rule for variables to keep in mind:
19. Heh, with layouts it could take hours; excluding coding.
The layout seems complete to me. But if it's truly not, like mentioned, then finish it. Just in case, for unknown future reasons. Very nice layout, btw. Each new layout you make keeps getting better.
20. My vote goes to Agentb. It's just stunning. Nice contrast and colors. Although, it looks like a photomanip, it's very nice.
21. Here you go, extreme thanks for your patience.
22. Can you tell me the dating of these manuscripts? Or can you provide me with a link to where you got this information, so i can research it myself?
23. I'm guessing the CSS for the "flower" box would be similar to:background: #EEEFF1 url('flower.jpg') no-repeat bottom center;
24. Well, my suggestion is: less blur more hardness. Some things kinda have blurred edges. This seems more like a pixel layout. Though, some things, like drop-shadows, and gradient effects are fine with a blurred feel. Also, that green little bar, doesnt really match the rest of the colors. It seems out of place.
