1. You're good with text, and blending. But, the sigs have an emptiness feel to it. Not so much with the bug one, but the splinter cell one has more open space under the text, to the left of the render. Btw, are you a grunge person?
2. Evil is the absence of good. Divorce isn't evil, it was made for people, because some partners can be abusive, unforutnately. Working on the Sabbath isn't evil either. The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Meaning, it's there if you want it.
So, that was basically just a vent about religious people who force their religion on someone? If so, then i understand.
3. Very nice, indeed! Loving the contrast, and the blending, and the text. But, yes, i would also suggest what is previously mentioned.
4. [1]Well if i look up the percentage on how God converts people, i would expect a 100%.[2]You seem to be forgetting choice. God is allowed to try and convince people, but people choose whether or not to follow him. This does not affect free will. Basically, what God is doing is asking the question, "Do you want to follow Me?", just in a specific way. I know, but some people wouldn't consider it that way. Just implying. [1]I consider being saved, entering paradise, without seeing hell. But, that could just be me. [2]Not really. [3]Evil is the absence of good. [4]Well, it's against Christian rules to cheat on your partner. Divorce isn't really that much against Christianity. There are, i believe, 3 exceptions where you can divorce. Plus, "till death due us part", means death is a form of divorce if you were married. [5]Not really. [6]They don't have to go to confession. God will hear you no matter where you are. You don't have to talk to a person in the other booth, in order for God to hear you. [7]It's not they that forgive them. Only God can forgive them. But, i'll admit, some things just can't be forgiven. For example, people that use good to do evil, i find that hard to be forgiven for. [8]You mean, like abortion? Yet, it still goes around. Well, i'd call it not caring so much about it, instead of forgetting. Like, i can see the one about the LORD saving people from Egypt as something that can be forgetful. But, everything else is more like "i could care less" for some people. Like, look at stealing, how many people download music illegaly? Not honoring your parents, how many children don't obey their parents? Adultery, how many people have sex outside of marriage? Covet your neighbor's things, how many people wish they had what others had? I guess i could go on. But, this should suffice.
5. Let me direct you towards a site i ran across. https://www.samaritanspurse.org/ The site is purely Christian, but guess what? It's all about helping mankind all across the world. And not just feeding and giving shelter to people. Let me list the things that they give help to (that isn't all that related to religion): The list goes on. I really hope you'd donate. Along with many others, if they truly-truly want to help mankind. I really hope it's not just all talk. I really wish you wouldn't call us idiots. Anyone that is willing, will gladly live a godly life. I guess you haven't walked, or walked far enough, in our shoes to be saying such.
You seem to be forgetful of many things. Please correct me on this. But, you're forgetting about what evil does to the world. Everyone wants a peaceful world, but only a few are willing to take action. Others just talk.
6. Glad i was able to answer your question. Ok, so therapits don't know how to make rapists stop raping. This is where God comes in. Btw, what's the amount of this '%'? Did you know the latest prophecy from the Bible happened around 50 years ago? Did you know many scientific facts came about by testing what is written in the Bible? I'm pretty sure there's a lot of things you don't know about the Bible. So, i guess we're both "extremely ignorant". Um, you seem to be accusing God for the wrong reasons. Many people are saved, whether they're a Jew, a Christian, a Catholic, a Muslim, and many others. Yes, even those that aren't in a religion. It all depends on whether or not they commit evil. Heh, now-a-days, they're considered "basic human beliefs". They weren't "basic human beliefs" back in the begining of Biblical times. Since laws of today basically came from religion, you no longer require religion to find out these "basic human beliefs". But, religion is a good way to remind you of these things. Life makes you forget many things.
You seem to be forgetting the genocides that happened outside of religion. Which outweighs all of that you mentioned.
7. There are many ways to answer this question. One way is: He stops many of us, at certain times. Many people convert their ways. And many other people help others convert. To you, this may seem like the person is doing the work, but God is working through them. Another way to answer such a question is: it's not time to stop everything. God is very patient. He wants many people to turn from their evil ways, and start living righteously. As for blasphemy. You could say it, i just wouldn't recommend it. Especially, if you take it to the grave. Not a good idea.
8. With heat rising, and more storms coming about, we should get more rain. Plus, hurricanes usually bring floods. Though they're not a good thing for home-owners, it would solve many water issues. Though, it may bring many water issues. Lol.
9. @Edgecoc:Increase the height of your entry by 3px.@savge17:Sci-fi is short for science fiction. Avalon clearly stated science fiction. I guess, we'll wait for Avalon for the final word.
10. Itsmyard's entry, to me, is acceptable. It's something that you'd see in a scifi thing.
11. [photoshop] Fire Tutorial http://forums.xisto.com/topic/34323-photoshop-fire-tutorial-making-fire-out-of-filters/ In this tutorial I will describe how I immitate fire using filters, in Photoshop. This technique works with many canvas sizes, but for this tutorial I used 300x300.<p>- First off, make sure you have the default colors as your foreground and background colors (press "D" on your keyboard).<br />- Next, render some clouds. Filter > Render > Clouds.<br />- Next, some difference clouds. Filter > Render > Difference Clouds. This step, repeat until the light shades take up most of the space.</p><p><b>Outcome:</b><br /><img src="/uploads/1140930761/gallery_8528_21_172.jpg; alt="" /></p><p>- Next, we'll mess around with the lighting effects. Filter > Render > Lighting Effects.<br />I used these settings:<br />For the top color use orange for the color.<br />For the bottom color use red for the color.<br />Light type: Omni<br />In the preview on the side, make the circle cover most of the canvas.<br />Intensity: 71<br />Gloss: -14<br />Material: 60<br />Exposure: 0<br />Ambience: 18<br />(You dont always have to use these settings)</p><p><b>Outcome:</b><br /><img src="/uploads/1140930761/gallery_8528_21_9342.jpg; alt="" /></p><p>- Next, we'll ripple what we have, to make it appear more like fire. Filter > Distort > Ripple.<br />I repeated this a couple of times. With a value of 250. First, i started off small. Then, ctrl+alt+F, and changed it to large. Then, ctrl+alt+F, and changed it to medium.</p><p>That's really all there is to it, unless you wanna continue onto the optional steps.</p><p><b>Optional Steps:</b><br />- After completing all of the above. Duplicate the layer twice (ctrl+J, twice).<br />The duplicate at the top, gaussian blur it at 3 pixels. Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.<br />The one under it, sharpen it. Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen.<br />Change the blending mode for the blurred duplicate to: Pin light.<br />Change the blending mode for the sharpened duplicate to: Soft light.</p><p><b>Final Outcome:</b><br /><img src="/uploads/1140930761/gallery_8528_21_14865.jpg; alt="" /></p> [any] Good Brushing Concept http://forums.xisto.com/topic/35765-any-good-brushing-concept-puzzle-assembly/ Ok, after messing around with some brushes, and making a few things I've realised a similarity to the way i brush, which can relate to putting together pieces of a puzzle. This concept may also help beginners improve in their brushing. You may be wondering, "what do puzzles have to do with brushing?" Well, continue reading and you'll find out. <p>As we all know, for those who have dealt with puzzles, how puzzles are. You grab one piece then you take another and if they can connect, you connect them. In a way, the same can go with brushing. A puzzle can be known as a "brush set". A completed puzzle, a "sig" or whatever. A piece of the puzzle will be known as a "brush". If a piece doesnt fit, you stop trying with that one and go with another. Same goes for a brush. A.k.a. undo (ctrl+z) the brush, and choose another.</p><p>As the same with puzzle pieces, brushes come in different sizes and shapes. When you brush one brush (choose a piece and place it down in the "area"), you grab another, and hover around the area of what you've just brushed. You'll notice that the shape is, in a way, relative to the newly chosen brush. Which you place next to, and now you've just connect two pieces. Now, here's the acception: Just cause it looks like it fits before placing it down, doesnt mean it does. This is where the "undo" command comes in. And then you grab another piece.</p><p>Here's another, but weird, acception that i've noticed: Some puzzles are incomplete, but the other half of it is in another puzzle. For example, Brush Set 1 is incomplete, but Brush Set 2 completes it.</p><p>Now, lets look at a visual example:<a href="http://img415.imageshack.us/my.php?image=puzzle9kp.gif"><img src="http://img415.imageshack.us/img415/7470/puzzle9kp.th.gif" alt="" /></a></p><p>Hopefully, this concept will help improve some others in their brushing. Anywho, happy brushing!</p>
12. Well, if you have $120 you can get this book on Public School Law. Or you can go here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
13. I think you should start looking up tutorials. Especially ones for multi-colored sigs. And ones that promote depth. Try to keep things creative by using more than one set/style of brushes.
14. I like the third one shown here, cause it has more color than the others. But, i can't make out the render used. The text from the 3rd one could use the same effect from the text of the 2nd one.
15. 2nd one looks better, but the render is smooth and the background is rough. It creates an imbalance. But, that could just be my opinion only.
16. I have a few suggestions for that sig: Remove the render and place the text and tech designs into a group layer, and center the group layer vertically and horizontally. Flip the render horizotally (i think this is right -> left and vice-versa) and place the text and tech designs into a group layer, shrink the group layer in size, and move it (group layer) more to the left. Or, place the render in the other side of the sig, and place the text and tech designs into a group layer, and shrink the group layer in size, and move it (group layer) more to the right. Nice sig, but just a few things that can be done to be made better.
17. Being in a religion isn't a bad thing, unless you're in one that commits/promotes evil. Many religious people around the world go around helping those in need. Many others, that aren't in a religion, don't. So, being obsessed with religion is like being obsessed for the well being of mankind. Plus, if you can't do it, God can.
18. Are you talking about Christian priests, Catholic priests, etc, or priests in general? 'Cause, if it's priests in general, you could be offending many righteous priests. Btw, you didn't really end that last sentence, and i don't wanna make any false assumptions; no proof of what?
19. @Zabb: It seems like you want me to do the work for you. Usually when people want proof, they get up and search for it. Google is just a click away [click]. But, if you go to church, you may find people telling their stories. Infact, asks the priests, most of them have their stories. If you think all are fake, then prove it.
20. How about, it'll take up more storage of the MySQL database? This forum is big enough as it is. There are already sections in the forum that are perfectly good for stuff that you'd see in blogs. Last thing we'd want is people complaining that the forums is acting slow.
21. Lots of entries, but my vote goes to Mich. I like the blending, how it makes it look like a dream, kinda. It's nice and calming. I like it.itsmyard: 0Avalon: 0Nozirev: 1michaelper22: 0Ashy: 0BEagle: 0Mich: 1garbage: 0savge17: 0Moolkye: 0barnes: 0saint-michael: 0
22. Mods applied. Also, preview of hover effect is in the image.Preview via PM.
23. Actually, science and religion do work together. Science is here to answer the question: "How did God do it?". If it weren't for religion, many things would have probably never have been discovered, or not until some time later; long time later.
24. I guess it would all depend on just how jealous you can be. There are times where it becomes uncomfortable for the opposite sex. Which, this is probably the case. My guess is this is where trusting the other person comes in. I guess you gotta learn how to trust your partner more, in order to overcome jealousy. But, i could be wrong. There are probably more reasons to this, but i can't seem to think of any.
