  1. Will we be able to install FF and run it inside chrome OS Who's gonna use chrome? It doesn't have ad blocker. It's just a new way for google so that they can get more income from ad If they're going to make a new linux, then I'll say great. But they're just gonna make cloud OS, I'm barely think that I will use that. No offense here, just wanna say my opinion
  2. I don't know wether this will work or not, but at least you can try this way. But the order will be canceled if you don't pay for several days (let say, about 1-2 weeks maybe,.. ask Xisto about this). And don't forget to post here, whether this trick works or not Hope you can buy your domain pal
  3. I don't think cloud OS would support something like that. They'll support games, but just flash and shockwave games  For you who satisfied with those games (and maybe, MMORPG), then it would be OK BTW, could we install and run firefox inside chrome OS ;p
  4. War.. Big countries will do expansion to other countries which still have oil. They'll make any excuse, any reasons so that they can attack those small countries.
  5. My recommendations are :1. puppy linux2. damn small linuxBTW, yoper is also fast. Maybe you can try the slim distribution
  6. vote for pikachu but I heard that pikachu is a mouse. if only pikachu is a cat, that would be perfect ;p <br /><br /><br />
  7. I mean, you can place an order to xisto first. Xisto will wait untill your balance is enough to pay your order. By doing these, others (your friends who also here) won't be able to buy the domain because the domain is already ordered
  8. Does anybody know where I can get pdf (or doc) to html converter? For pdf to html, I'm using google mail. I save my pdf documents first, then open them as html, and save the source. As converting doc to html, I'm using M$ word. But the problem is, M$ Word put too much unuseful tags which make the code messed up. I'm looking for a software which I can do batch converting some of my pdf or doc documents to html, and of course freeware is much preferable ;p
  9. As harrison858 said, you can buy the domain first and pay after you get your mycent. At least this will prevent others from buying the same domain from xisto. (I think )
  10. Yep, it is impossible to put C&C Generals, CS, WoW etc inside a browser. I'll stick with Kubuntu
  11. ashish17's question was "if two antivirus installed on a PC", then my answer is it's quite possible. You can install 2 or more antivirus, but you can't run both of them in the same time
  12. Erm, so, will those data which we bought be saved in our PC or we should download it each time we want to use it? I still don't understand the concept of cloud OS nor chrome OS.
  13. Google chrome OS is a cloud computing system which is (i think) need internet connection. For ppl with slow connection, they won't choose chrome. Inspite, they'll use winblows or linux.

The characters are messed up at the first time it's installed (I'm using japanese character). But it really fast, nice one. But I can't block ads, that's a problem. After few minutes, it already ate 290 mb of my memory.
  15. You used too much graphical things (pics, javascript to load images etc). Try to reduce it or host your pictures at another site, maybe that'll help. You can also check your sql usage. Maybe some of them is slow.
  16. I'm still confusing about this new "cloud computing". Do we have to get connected to internet every time we want to use the computer? Or, it also has a tool like gears, so we can still continue our work even we don't connected to the internet.I asked this question at another topic which is similar to this topic. The question ie, do we always have to get connected to the net to use the tools, or we can use it offline? anybody knows?
  17. Maybe they installed a NAT firewall or something like that. Or, the port used by torrent client is blocked somehow. Try to change the connection port or used a tunneling software. I did use an encrypted VPN and it worked. They didn't noticed that I used torrent client ;p
  18. Like Saint_Michael said, it is similar with Good OS, so we need internet connection to do our task. It is different with OS we're using. It would be useless for people with slow net connection. I wish google makes Googlix (Google + unix ) rather than a cloud OS.
  19. Yes, but I do think that lately FF seems very slow. It keeps freezing when I open a link in new tab. I got my computer freeze and had to restart my x server when I loaded a flash object with FF. FYI, I'm using kubuntu jaunty.
  20. Mm, i can't try inbox.com. It says that I need to activate it using email notifier. But hey, I'm using linux, how am I supposed to activate it??! I'll stick with gmail then
  21. You can use VPN and encrypt it's data. But, even you use the methods, they'll still catch you from using the bandwith. Especially your brother is an avid torrenter and would probably eats few gigs in just a week. They'll realize that your brother is doing something
  22. Glad to hear you like it. I use its viewer for years and I really like it. It has frame masking and other plugins. That's why when you asked about capture program, I suggested you to use its product. BTW, thanks for the short review, that would helps me and other member when we need the tool
  23. Did you checked the network connection setting in Winblows Media Center and Internet Explorer? Try to check them, maybe that's the cause.. (at least i hope it's just as simple like that ;p)

My FF takes 300MB memory ;p And I realized that FF sometimes takes lots of memory when it trying to handle flash or java object. I have to kill my x server when it happens.
  25. what do you mean? (sorry, i'm not mac user so i can't understand your question clearly) If it's about copying files from server to your local files then you can just drag the files from one window (your server files) into another window (your local files)
