  1. Actually i correct myself, the version i heard was the eggs are carried away similar to how forte said, but they are at the stage where they're about to hatch and do so just before plummeting back to earth. A big thrill ride for a newly born small fish!
  2. Ive heard the same story as what forte has described, quite extraodinary if there is truth to it, i reckon.
  3. I had this elaborate dream last night that I thought might be worth sharing. I regularly have dreams were I go on some sort of epic journey, I usually wake up with an epic headache and mega eye strain also. Usually most of my dreams are in winter too, as it is now autumn/winter where I live. Anyhow, the story of my dream starts of with two leaders of a rogue army deeply entrenched in enemy territory. (The enemies in this case are like the Nazi’s, but the details are largely cut out, so not Nazi’s).They have many victories causing problems for the Nazi’s, but due to a massive resurgence of forces by the Nazi’s over a period couple of years, the protagonist army and civilians are overwhelmed and the higher leader is killed. From this point the members of protagonist army quickly disperse, leaving the story primarily focused on the last remaining leader. Everyone is cornered and on the run, the Nazi’s are making routine sweeps of the countryside (foot soldiers), looking for notorious people who had caused them grief years previously. The remaining leader is in a village surrounded by flat grassy landscapes and is being closed upon by enemy forces from all sides. No matter what plan of escape is attempted by the remaining leader the possibility of escape always remains futile. The enemy soldiers have reached the village, they know this guy is here and are searching for him, among other people. His last vestige of hope is in a magical 2 story house. As he begins to anticipate the enemies entering the house soon, he asks the house owners if there is basement he could hide.He enters the basement and spends and hour going through a series of puzzle corridors always traveling in the forward direction. Suddenly he enters a doorway which now opens up to a huge landscape outside again. He knows they are on his heels and as before is seeking alternatives for escape. In the distance he sights a group heading towards him about 10 kilometers away. As he watches the marching army they begin to split up into 2 groups. All three groups are converging on his location, inevitably he dies…..In the final part of the dream, it traces through all the chances of escape that weren’t available. But oddly, if he had caught a locomotive to a place where they used to get supplies about a year previously, he would have survived…. Bummer for him I guess. Also somewhere in the dream is a creepy empty Russian munitions factory and in the village, was a curious clockmaker who the Nazi’s conversed with. Not bad eh?. I have this dream from time to time. I also have had a dream since a kid where I’m in a room, where a few ‘Hellraiser’ spiky heads are moving around in the shadows and I’m a 3rd person observer. Another dream I have sometimes is where I jump of a boardwalk just before sunset into the sea and travel deeper encountering sea monsters of all kinds lit up by the deep green rays of light from above. I finally crash into the bottom to find I was in a fish tank (like the exhibits found in sea world), which contained the entire ocean. One I had often about often about 11 years ago was where my girl friend at the time was playing my old Fender Stratocaster, I have no idea what that was about…
  4. I don't know haven't had girlfriend for a very long time.... I imagine i would be very romantic, but having the time would kinda conflict with the time i spend with other things. I would probably make it an important priority though.
  5. Is this inalambric electricity you mention a supposed form of energy also known as Scalar waves?
  6. LOL, What tha? "when you gave it to her don't zipped your pants so she could see tweety inside of you...". I don't exactly know what you mean there, but the vibe i'm getting is making me laugh
  7. Hi Sea4Me, welcome to Xisto. Judging from your post i think trap 17 will be an excellent choice for you. Looking forward to reading your posts!
  8. Technically there's maybe a small possibility a UFO "may" be able to built, i don't know if i should even mention this.... A friend of mine was telling me about scalar waves, a "supposed" theoretical form of physics/energy. He told me the potential to make weapons and such, if this form of energy was indeed real and was utilized. Apparently, LOL, he actually knows a couple of military personnel which happens to work in a local Australian RAAF defense base and was questioning one in particular about it. Apparently the guy clamped up when asked about the subject. I said to my friend that I'm always a bit skeptical about these things, which he admitted to being also. He also explained his own hesitancy probing too deep into this subject as he has read stories of unexplained disappearances in Russia, etc and warned me that looking into it might be a bad idea, which i thought was amusing. So I had a little look on the net and found that a retired U.S Lt Col Tom Bearden is huge advocate for "hypothetical" Scalar Wave theory. UFO propulsion, death stars and wireless transfer of energy, came up. But I was particularly interested in a series of youTube video's showing an interview with Tom Bearden. He obviously displayed some intelligent insights/knowledge in the world of physics, but half his time was spent arguing how the higher ranking scientific officers in the military, hadn't had the initiative to provide him with funding so he could test his theories. This left me thinking, if something like this had even a small chance of being possible perhaps the U.S military has already spent a generous portion of funding towards it, but never saw any tangible evidence. Is he a bit of a crazy, probably but i cant say for sure. To be honest i lost interest about the subject after the first 2 hours. As to the whole life on another planet thing, there very could well be but probably on the opposite side of our ever expanding universe.Beware looking into the scalar thing, in case some of the stories my friend were telling me aren't "total" lies. I wouldn't want anyone disappearing on the account of me sharing this (seriously).
  9. Ive always wanted to study abroad, particularly the United States. But to me if it came down to it, I think I'd find that i would be intimidated if presented the opportunity. The challenge of becoming re-situated for a while, trying to make friends, maybe trying to obtain a part time job, very daunting.... I mean what if opportunities didn't present themselves, that would be a large bummer.
  10. Study has always been the highest priority for me. I'm actually a lot happier for the intellectual stimulation, a very noticeable difference indeed. Sometimes i think I've studied a bit too much, for example a guy i knew and helped often in college has now got some sort of web server business, which is good for him. But i continually focus on education, rather than taking the initiative to do something like he as done. Note to self, get off the computer and away from books a bit more!
  11. I also think love is a more important priority for an individual. I believe many people operate under the illusion that acquiring money is extremely important to maintain/secure interest in relationships and to be looked at favorably by family. I just think money is a bit over emphasized to the point where it can just as easily ruin peoples lives, as well as enhance it.
  12. I agree with everything sonesay said, you get a lot of people who can make sites look good, or copy and paste so to speak. But can they justify all the design decisions they made in order to enhance the purpose of a website? For instance Sun Microsystem's website has always had a heck of a lot of content on their site. Members of a the development team for this website would disregard concentrating their efforts into doing anything too flashy, as that would be a pointless waste of time and space for the website.Sun's customers/potential customers want to be able to get to the information they need quickly and easily, this requires certain members within a development team to know "What is the best way of categorizing navigation, so a customer is satisfied and not overwhelmed".The information content for the site has to be structured, where should certain information go? If information wasn't structured well, then the site would pretty much fail its purpose. So you would have members on the team for that - information/instruction designers (which apparently is a well paid position). You may have certain designers that look at the best way information should be arranged, they need to look at the optimum balance of white space versus text on screen. It has to be cleanly arranged as part of the overall composition of the page, its no good having the information displayed in such a way that's a messy hindrance rather than conveying information in the best possible way. The graphics should serve to enhance information presented, not to detract attention away. Designers would also have to adhere to the specifics of sun's corporate style guide, or perhaps create one that is complementary to the companies established image. It is very important here that every decision made can be justified and recorded, so there will be huge documents just for this. Of course the balance of interaction vs information and design, would see information as the utmost priority, followed by interaction then finally the visual design for the Sun website. Designers are typically educated to work alongside programmers, information designers, each taking on their area of specialty/talent. Sometimes for instance in my course of study, they emphasized us being able to do a bit of everything, but even as unreal the requirements seemed sometimes, they didn't expect us to have "talent" as programmers.Hope this helps.
  13. It may be a bit late for it, but thanks for the link i especially like - 15. "How to create a grunge web design" i reckon ill integrate some of that into the design of my own personal site, just what ive been looking for, thanks!
  14. Ive always liked Java - cross platform, syntax similar to c++, its scope for possibilities and especially its error checking in eclipse. These are really good points. But from what i've seen of PHP its very quick, productive and easy to learn. I never gave it time because i seem to like the hardcore stuff.
  15. I live in Australia, i think id rather vacation or move to somewhere in Europe perhaps. The thing is Australian's think a certain way and aren't very open to new ideas (i believe). Its customary for us to have a bit of go at each other for little reason whatsoever, hes a this..... or shes a that.... it becomes very negative and we expect each other to take it all without a grudge (like a bunch of buffoons i often think). Saying this there's a lot of good things, but i don't believe we are the self proclaimed lucky country that we like to promote. Just wondering, how much does this occur in other countries, England perhaps? Maybe it is a reflection of the times... or perhaps im a crazy person, i dunno.
  16. Personally Charlize Theron probably appeals to me the most, but not so much when you see shots of her where she is a bit skinny/un-toned.
  17. How would i know if a girl liked me?, id flip a coin and make a choice based on the result of a random generator on the computer..... Oh well, im pretty clueless in that way, i guess.
  18. Gotta love lemmings!, although i never really found the puzzles challenging till the last few levels, it was still one of the best games i can remember. Used to play it a regularly alongside the original SimCity, or rather build a small city up in SimCity, to watch a few catastrophes rip through it .
  19. Could you post a couple of links of examples?. I can absolutely relate to you being a bit apprehensive about the industry. I did a few years of Multimedia/Graphic design at school a while back and the lecturers were like, nothing but the best will do (where striving for international standards). There was a constant need to adapt and meet the changing needs/load (for even the course in this case). After finishing schooling i had achieved good results but never followed up on it. I attribute my reasons for this due to having being lectured the realities/standards of the industry to the point where they unnecessarily discouraged a lot of students from going any further after finishing the course (much like myself). But the point is, i now regret 'not' giving things a go after the course. Its now 7 years later and it comes at total surprise that my skills are still very strong, even after being dormant for so long (bit of a shame). So im gonna try. Hope this is some small help.
  20. I used to use yahoo all the time, due to the fact 8 years ago it had more storage than others (at least from what i could find). A year ago signed up to live/hotmail, not bad clean interface customizable etc. Recently have signed up to gMail and have found it good for 'popping' in and out of quickly.
  21. Ive always like every console/handheld game device that Nintendo have produced .... except for the NES. Not really for the performance of their products, but the games on them. If Mario, Zelda, GoldenEye, Metroid, among others were offered on the old Sega consoles or Playstation 1,2,3 i would have bought them without a doubt. But because of these standout games, i've always opted for purchasing Nintendo. After saying that though, gotta say sonic the hedgehog equally rocks!
  22. Ive tried windows 7 beta on my laptop and have to say its actually good. After experiencing 'vista' like many other people i can relate to it as being a crumby OS to deal with. But with windows 7 beta i found that it was definite improvement over vista. It does seem to gobble up ram much more freely (in normal use) when compared to Win_XP (perhaps for the sake that it operates a bit quicker). At the least 1 gig of ram is definitely the go with windows7. I had everything working even support for the Radeon 7500 (and playing a few games) on my laptop but after a few days i was having some troubles with buggy menu's, at which time i decided to reinstall Win_XP. I'm definitely going to look at buying windows7 after its been out for half a year or so, as i believe it will be worth it.
  23. Ive never tried chocolate covered pretzels, i like pretzels a lot. One day soon ill try some pretzels with Nestle or Cadbury chocolate buttons ...... might put in some white chocolate for good measure also.
  24. I haven't had any trouble with reasonably priced Nokia's either (seem to be reliable). Sony Ericcson phones seem to be good value, but don't seem have as many applications as a Nokia (please correct me if i'm wrong). Of course if i could afford it id go for the apple iphone.
