Military Laser Brings 'star Wars' Reality Closer
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to DYABLO's topic in Science and Technology
This sounds similar to a technology I hard of. It is a cheap, yet extremely efficient laser that targets missiles, and always hits them. My friend told me a story about the Russians firing a missile at Canada. One of the Canadian ships saw the missile, aimed at it with the laser, and blew it out of the sky very casually. Next the Russians got a phone call from the Canadian, and said it was an "accident". I don't know how any country could accidently fire a rocket at another country. Crazy story, but true. -
Yahoo Mail Beta New Look for Yahoo Mail
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to cse-icons's topic in Science and Technology
It doesn't look much different than the current one. If they step up on additional security and ease of use, then it will be a great move to stay competitive against Microsoft Hotmail and Google's Mail (beta). Free e-mail sites are a wonderful tool for everyone to have! -
So much for my 1GB flash memory USB stick. hehe If this is possible, I hope that they can increase it's capacity and speed greatly to replace regular computer hard drives. With current seek times of 8 and 9 milliseconds, these holographic items will need to pick up on speed quickly, otherwise be sold at very low prices when speed is not a factor. I could see this being used commercially in the near future, but I hope they come in sizes small enough to fit in someone's pocket, with huge capacities.

Faster Than Light Travel? Thinking caps please
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Mithshark's topic in Science and Technology
I saw an episode on the Learning Channel with a mathematical genious who calculated it is possible to travel faster than light. I don't know if an infinite amount of energy is needed, since infinity of anything doesn't exist (in my opinion). The solution they proposed was to use wormholes in space. And the example they used was a pizza (DON'T LAUGH... YET). One person demonstrated a worm hole by first throwing pizza toppings on top, and considered that the galaxy. Next, he took an object, and demonstrated regular space travel from one edge of the pizza to the other side. After that, he took the whole pizza, and folded it so that one of the sides made contact with the other. Taking that same object, travelling from one edge to the other is instant. As a result, that demonstrates a very simple example of a potential breakthrough in the future, once humans discover a way to use wormholes to travel great distances instantly in space. -
Hello Bulb,If you're looking for a good price and great performance, the 6600 will be just fine. But if your budget can afford it, you should consider a 6800 as well. They are both considered obsolete now, so the prices have fallen a lot. I believe you can purchase the 6800 for around $250 to $300 U.S. now.As you may know, the 7800 GTS has been out for a short time, and already the next version of 7800 is coming out, with an 1800 MHz clock speed, and a big boost on video power (I don't remember what it's at). It is also coming with 512 MB of RAM. The previous clock speed of the first 7800 was 1200 MHz, with 256 MB.Overall, the 6600 or even 6800 would be a good choice for prices. But this also depends on what games you play. A few good place to check out would be http://www.tomshardware.com/, http://www.geek.com/ and http://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/ for tons of useful information.

People put names to things that are in their point of view wrong. Wrong is only a matter of opinion for everyone. Personally, I do not see anything wrong with abortion, nor do I see anything wrong with killing another human being. The less people there are on the earth, the better the world would be in my opinion. That is how I feel.

Please stop smoking if you are...
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to googlue's topic in General Discussion
The way I see it is, if you love your life you will do what you want. Even if that means smoking. After all, you only live once, so enjoy every moment of it, but be sure to always be in control of your life so that you remain comfortable. No, I am not a smoker. I have not even tried a cigarette before. But smokers do bother me due to inconsideration. They smoke in cars with me, in the office, and all around. I never liked it, but it is always nice to have the consideration of them asking me if they mind if they smoke. I will always tell them (I do not like it, but I will not tell you to stop). It is blunt, but it gets the point across. So please, do not tell people to stop smoking. Always feel free to suggest it to them, but if they like it, there is no point in stopping. There are worse things in the world to worry about that peoples health. If anything, cigaretts are a tax credit to tax payers, and it makes for excellent population control. So I say, smoke your brains out!! -
Happy Thanksgiving! To all who celebrate anyway
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to unicornrose's topic in General Discussion
Happy Thanksgiving U.S.A.! I am Canadian, but I wish you our neighbors, all the best, and a safe, happy and enjoyable holiday. -
I noticed that the add site only supports one PHP database. It is nice to see that Xisto is broadening their horizon, but could it be bumped up a little to support... maybe 5 or so?(Sorry, but this keyboard is broken so some letters are appearing wrong.)

To anyone out there using phpBB, the next release has been sent out. Report: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=336756 Download: https://www.phpbb.com/downloads/ Additional Download for the Changed Files Only: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I found an error! One of the reports was made by myself. Even though it was not a bug, it was about the cosmetic display on the index page concerning the subSilver template. As people may have noticed, the ''Mark all forums read'' is displayed before you even sign in. This tiny issue has been fixed in 2.0.18. Yay!! hehe

One think I really enjoy about using Trillian 3.1 (the basic one) is that you can install it on computers that you are a user of. In other words, you do not have to have an admin level of access on a desktop computer in order to be able to install it. I am refering to a Windows 2000 system for this. It may be different for Windows XP.Overall, it is a great program to use, but the organisation of the displayed names is not ideal in my opinion. Plus, I still have not figured out how to edit my name using the MSN one.

Do You Have A Mobile Phone? Then say how old are you
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to sader's topic in Mobile Phones
I do not own a mobile phone, and I hope I never do. I love technology, and the progress it is taking on a daily basis. But when it comes to phones and signals from space, I just do not trust it. Although it has been around for about 10 to 15 years, the long term effect is still unknown. It has proven in the past to cause brain cancer with the analog signals. Digital signals are far more safer, but are still not 100% safe. All cell phones do damage to people to some degree. It is also a large business, selling cheap, high-tech components at a premium price gennerally. Then again, people tend to get what they pay for, but the higher the price, the higher the profit. -
Hi, I was in the process of updating my phpBB forums, when suddenly my FTP told me I do not have sufficient priveledges to access it. Then I tried going to my site (main page), but I cannot. This is a picture showing the error I have: http://ww11.250free.com/ Everything was working fine, then suddenly not. Any help would be nice, or an explanation. Oh yes, I forgot to mention something. I tried accessing the main page and the forums with Firefox, and that did not work either. I decided to change my IP using a proxy. When I went back to my site, I was able to access it. I have no idea why or how it was working when my regular (non-proxy) IP was displaying that the page cannot be displayed. I have noticed in the past that when I updated the site in the past, one of my members got an error as well for a certain period of time. After about a week or so after, then he was able to access the site. But as soon as I made any change at all, he was getting errors again.

Posts Higher Value
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to LeAnn Rimes My Angel's topic in Web Hosting Support
It is really not that simple. After posting one topic or reply, I see my credit only going up one or two days, and they are generally not short replies. Could it be possible that the moderators could decrease the posting value of members when they do make a post, or does it have to do with something else?(This keyboard is broken, so I cannot type question marks.) -
I was at home this past weekend playing this old but fun game it's alot of fun. And the number one character I like to play as in there the most is "Akuma". It's so cool playing as him and in a way I think I am playing as "Shin or Super Akuma" because he throws 2 air fire-balls. And I descovered recently that people can play as both Juggernaut and Magneto in X-Men: Children of The Atom for Playstation 1. If any of you want to know how to play as Juggernaut or Magneto in the game let me know and I will post it here in this topic. It's really fun playing as Magneto in the game both he and Akuma are my 2 favourite characters to use in the game. I haven't challenged anyone while fighting as Magneto but I do hope to someday see if anyone can beat me as him or not. I always find this game alot of fun and sometimes very addicting sometimes because I can play all night on it if I want to.

I think Halloween is a fun time of year when people can dress-up if they want to. Just in the papers today I saw a picture of a man and his kid walking away from some store dressed up as Darth Vader. And his kid had a mini Darth Vader costume as well. So I myself think it's a day to have fun and dress-up if you want but there are some people around my town that do dress-up. It's always fun looking like someone else but only for a day. And from what I can see people always have fun on Halloween. Also today I was working and I saw a guy dress-up as Julia Caesar. So yeah some people in my town celebrate Halloween in their own special little ways.

The End Of The World says preacher Santos
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Nani Cheri's topic in General Discussion
I don't think this world will be coming to an end anytime soon. I think that's really non-sense. I think this planet will be around for hundred or millions of years. Anytime I see a tv show on tv talk about the end of the world asteroids or something I go "PFFF yeah right". I believe there are killer asteroids out there somewhere but I don't believe we will be getting any at all. So I for one think we are totally safe. We'll be here for millions and billions of years before anything should happen. But if it does I would hope we are well prepared for it when it does happen. Of course technology is being upgraded everyday and soon nothing will ever destroy us ever. -
I loved Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge Of The Sith. I think it's the best film of all the Star Wars films. In the others the lightsaber fights were pretty slow. But in the 3rd and finale film the fights are so much better I love the lightsaber fights in this one they're even faster than they were before. And it's only a few days before it comes out on DVD. I can't wait I am thinking I'll get both versions. Widescreen and fullscreen. November 1st is going to be known as Star Wars Tuesday.

What Are You Going To Be For Halloween?
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to thebluekirby's topic in General Discussion
I don't know if I am going to dress up or not. But if there is one costume I wouldn't mind owning and wearing every so often would maybe be. Darth Vader or some very nice costume that might have been used in the movies sometime before that is of course if I had the money to buy a cotume like that. But other than that I probably won't be dressing up at all I feel that I am too old and that if people come around my place to get candy or something I'll give the kids some candy. And that would be probably what I'll be doing on Monday for Halloween. -
My 3 favourites has to be Marvel Super Heros Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. And also who's your favourite character to play as in those games (Regular or Hidden) my favourites are :Cyber Akuma, Onslaught and Apocolypse. I haven't figured out how to play as Abyss yet. But I hope someone does know how to play as him.

Your Favorite (s) Character (s) Of Street Fighters
LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Neon's topic in Computer Gaming
My all time favourite characters from the Street Fighter Game Series are: Akuma "Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo", Super- Akuma he's the most powerful and easiest character to use. And I can only fight against the computer controlled Super Akuma, as Super Akuma. Because he's also the toughest character to fight against. And in Street Fighter Alpha 3 my other favourite character to use is "Super Bison". I figured out how to play as him in my Dreamcast game, I have at home and his Psycho Crusher is so powerful it's like a huge commit on the tv Screen. -

LeAnn Rimes My Angel replied to Twilight-seraphim's topic in Computer Gaming
There's alot of villians from video games. I like a whole lot of villians so many it's a little hard to choose from them all. Here's a few of my favourites. Scorpion, Reptile, Goro and Shang Tsung from the first Mortal Kombat game. I like Agent Smith from Enter the Matrix. I like fighting the "Scorpion King" in the Mummy Returns. And Zombies in some of the games I have at home. And the T-X from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Those are some of my favourite villians from video games.
