  1. Yes, it should be legalized, fully sanctioned and sold in liquor stores.Think of all the tax dollars the government is missing out on. Not only that, but weed would no longer be grouped together with "real" drugs likeCocaine and Heroin. It would move us one step closer to a sane world.
  2. Your friend is simply playing the law of averages. He knows if he tries five times he'll win at least once, and so he does. Just basic math.
  3. Good old fashioned fish and Chips with a side order of a few slices of bread and butter, and hp sauce included in the condiments.I also like pork chops and french fries.I also like steak and french fries.Shepherds pie is also great, as is Yorkshire pudding.Put a hold on the caviar, I'd rather have these things first.
  4. I see this is your 66 post. Perhaps it should be post 666.These solutionists with all the quick answers. You know, there are a lot of problems in the world, and just making something illegal like that is no solution.Tobacco is the most addictive substance in the world.Blame tobacco for all the disease. Let's forget about car fumes and industrial waste.Wouldn't you be better off posting an anti crack rant,or something on anti violence against women? That's your solution? Just make it illegal.Right? It wouldn't stop it anyway. There's way too much of a black market.
  5. I think myspace is better, specifically for musicians. With Myspace one can acidently discover a Myspace site without having to log in. Then one can listen to music or whatever, this isn't the case with facebook, where you have to login to see anything really. The only draw back with myspace is, and I'm sure Facebook is the same, is that 90 per cent of usersare less than 24 years old, yet Myspace is a great place to truly discover new and cutting edge alternative music. It's certainly better than the radio. This gets me wondering, don't people over 24 listen to music anymore? The average age of the musicians is certainly over 24.I've tried lots of music sites, and right now myspace is about the best for musicians. I had hope forsites like soundclick.com,but unfortunately sites like these have shrunk and turned into little villages.Too bad.
  6. When I play I'm almost unbeatable at it. I like the rod games with mechanical gears, rather than springs.I mean the real table hockey games, not the clear domed shelled once you see in bars.
  7. Yes.I've been to lots of N.H.L games, thought not in a long time. The games are way better to see live than they are on t.v. It'sway, way better. No matter where you are sitting, you can hear the scraping of blades on the ice,and the slapping of the hockey sticks, and all the sounds of the game like theyare right in front of you, which they are.On t.v the rink always looks much bigger than it actually is. Watching the game liveis much more intimate and in your face.
  8. Where I am,Toronto is alright. It is pretty corporate driven unfortunately.Sure, all large cities are, but especially Toronto. Money comes first.Maybe that's why Toronto has very little to culturally stand out from other cities.I mean New Orleans has the Mardi Gras and New Orleans Jazz, Detroit has Motown andthe heyday of the automobile industry. Chicago has blues music, even Seattle has grunge.Montreal has the Circe du soleille and French culture. You can go on and on and on.This is epitomized in the way the Hockey team operates. They are usually horrible atperforming on the ice, but obviously nobody cares since they make money. Toronto is at it's best during the World cup soccer tournaments. All the various cultures come to life and Toronto gains an exuberance rarely seen. They should learn from that. The TTC public transportation system in Toronto is way over priced and slow. That's why I keep busy. To try not think about these things.
  9. Well, you see, I'm transferring it FROM another hosting company TO compuhost.Everything should be alright now though. There is actually plenty of time left really.
  10. It looks like it's okay now. Thanks anyway. I over reacted. I wanted to delete,or at least edit this post just after I posted it. They've been really good at compuhost. When I freak out I don't discriminate, I treat everybody badly, equally.lol. Also thanks for everything OpaQue. Xisto is really, really good.
  11. Thanks for the replies. I am just a little concerned because the domain name in question is going to expire soon. Then again, if it does I don't really care. As soon as I get somethings out of the way I'm going to rebuild, building just one site geared for traffic, rather than concentrating on a whole bunch at once. The internet can be a headache sometimes.
  12. What happened to the Edit function?I see. You can edit everything but the INITIAL post. I would of deleted this thread. The problem here seems to have been confusion all around. Why place "Do not reply" in the header of an important email though? It's misleading and makes the email appear to be spam like. The compuhost user panel could be a bit more user friendly too.
  13. The support at compuhost has been pathetic.I had successfully transferred a few domain names before to compuhost. Not this time.I requested the transfer of a domain, and received an email saying that Icouldn't transfer it, because the domain name was already taken.I clearly requested a TRANSFER, not purchase of a new domain name.It was unlocked, unprivate, and I gave them the proper verification codeand information. On the second try, I received an email saying that the transfer had failed againbecause a response was not received from the "Administrative contact".The only email I received from them was the generic "Do not reply" emailthat one receives when making a transfer. They told me to place a new transfer. I can't because the old transferrequest is still pending with no way of deleting it.Time is now running out.
  14. I guess for certain things it would be tough if you didn't knowEnglish. I mean, there are no foreign language, php manuals, mysqlmanuals etc. There are some people I knew though were incredible programmers withoutvery fluent speaking English at all. This one Iranian guy I remember. Some peopleit seems just have an aptitude.
  15. Deja Vu? Funny you should mention it : http://forums.xisto.com/topic/70640-deja-vu-ever-heard-of-it/ We revisit the same things in life so much that the familiarity of it all becomes ingrained and entirely a part of our subconscious.
  16. Providing your service isn't slowed down, I don't see any problem letting other people usea wireless signal if you have no bandwidth limits. I went ages without an encrypted signal a few years ago when I had wireless.Don't forget. Wireless goes through the air. The same air everybody breathes.
  17. I just noticed it too. How can you not? It's very ugly and appears to slowthe page down. What's with the infatuation with Bob Dylan?Maybe they want this site to be Bob Dylan 24/7. Everything in moderation is what I say.
  18. I think the W3C goes way overboard with their validation. It's like criticizing somebody for saying hi instead of Hello. Either way gets the message across. I think the W3C are pretty stifffor somebody who claims to be an authority.
  19. To me it's pretty clear really as to why Google has been and will continue to be a success. Unlike Yahoo, and Msn, you aren't assaulted with pop up boxes or attempts at hijacking your computer when you open the page. Google is straight forward. You need a good search engine and it's right there. All Google has to do is keep marketing themselves and to keep things simple.
  20. It's what you call fast food culture. Everything is quick and cheap and holds very little real value. If present culture were nutrition we'd be malnourished.
  21. In a way aged music is the truest because it is most simple. It doesn't have to rely on odd time signatures and key shifts andtechnology to get the message across.Simplicity is the thing that people will remember the most in the long run.Although most Bach and Beethoven is hardly simple.
  22. I certainly hope not another war. There is enough tension and troublein the world a sit is. It's the leaders who start these wars, and thecommon men who have to fight them.I'd like to think I'm basically a normal person. I haven't had a violent encounter with anyonesince I was a kid. Most people are the same. Why can't these world leaders just grow upand stop threatening the end of the world because of their childishness? These people are sick.
  23. Like anything that is really old the bible is based very much onsuperstition and lack of scientific knowledge. It's not likeJesus or God wrote it. It was written by mere mortals. Yes, it's a goodbook to read if you read it between the lines.I think they could of gone just a little bit easier on the doom and gloomthough.
  24. Habits that hinder thinking?Probably not thinking enough is a bad habit that hinders thinking.Lazyness can be a habit as well.Habitual negativity can also hinder thinking.
  25. What you could do is have an xml page that your web page references. Have the onepage manipulate the content of this xml file, and then have php code in the otherpage that parses it.
