Selling Domain Names But Where? domain names for money
BuffaloHelp replied to leusmith's topic in Business Forum
The important place is to let every visitor know that you have domains for sale. So, be sure to have your index page listing of domains for sale in each and every domain name you have. Second is decide if you want to pay for listing fees, such as suggestions listed above whether free or paid, and think about auction places as well like ebay.Third is to have payment arrangements or agreements listed along with domain names for sale--similar to terms of agreement. Carefully write down how the transaction will be made, method of payment and how soon the transaction will be finished.Buyers would like to know ahead of time how the deal will be made and it's nice to "paint the picture" for them. And once the bid is confirmed, immediately close it.Another thought is to have your own auction script running on each of your domains. That way you can hold your own auction bidding without paying for any service fee.Look into:ebay.comdomaintools.comamazon.comThe very last alternative solution would be to just terminate your domain names and do not renew them. I assume that you purchased those and trying to make a profit to cover the cost for your next one? It's tough to do that these days unless you have "real good" domain names. Domain names just starting at $1.99 per year or only for the first year anyone can get a domain name under $10 these days. To profit from selling a domain name depends on the potential popularity of a domain name. -
Answering Xisto or Xisto. When you are sure that you can "survive" in Xisto forum, with its topics and professionalism, then by all means join Xisto and obtain Xisto sub-domain.But that does not mean Xisto is less professional. Xisto deals with more simple or common aspects of programming, daily life debates and general talks.Basically, Xisto and Xisto are designed to appeal to all spectrum of people. All you need to do is decide which forum YOU would like to participate actively.Good luck!

Is there any reason why you have to block him from accessing the site/cpanel completely? Exactly. That is beside Xisto's point. Hosting is controlled by you. But legally he still owns the domain (since he paid for it in the first place). Unless you two have a written contract of taking over the domain and domain registered email account, he can simply login into domain control panel and change to wherever he'd like. Hosting resolution is managed by Xisto. You are the hosting account operator. Anything else out side of Xisto is your agenda. Xisto does not solve domain name/domain account dispute unless it's Xisto - Web Hosting account. WOW. That's bit harsh don't you think? It's like saying since he hasn't drove a car for a while, and you maintained it all this time, you should be the rightful owner of a car. I don't know. That's something you and he should resolved it. Xisto does not have the right to decide which one owns the domain. He can simply report your behavior to Yahoo Domain Registrar and retain it back if he feels that you do not have the rightful ownership. There's nothing you cannot do after that since the domain name is associated with his payment information.

You're only refering to creating ONLY the sub-domain (and not add-on domain). You can create website.org/sub and place index.php in that folder <?phpheader("Location: website.org/;;exit;?>And create a normal index file under folder sub/zzz and starting building your site. This is the simplest solution. Another way of doing things is to use Site Management Tools / Manage Redirects to divert traffic going to set location. This is the best way of doing your redirect.

Your main FTP login account is the same as your cPanel login information. If you can access your cPanel and you cannot with FTP, it is likely that your FTP software or FTP account is suspended, somehow.Check to see if you can login to your cPanel with your information. If so, try FTP in later time.If this is regarding your subdomain FTP, simply assign a new password by deleting the existing FTP sub-account password and reassign it.

I have two cars. My babying car is 1995 Frod Probe GT. I think this is the slickest car ever built! It's a hybrid model where Mazda RX engine meets good old American body parts. I love it! Stick shift that I once beat Mustang automatic from 0-60... this car is so popular among collectors that there are automotive clubs just for this car. There are many parts that makes Probe a unique machine. Search Probe with Sleepy Eye and you'll see what I'm talking about. Here is a sample http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2232120/1993-ford-probe/ I can drive this car 480 miles before I have to fill it up. I drove from Boston, MA to New York, NY in one tank of gas. My traveling car is 1999 Nissan Altima. It's only 7 years old but has 119,000 miles already under the hood. But boy what a workhorse. I have never had any problem with this car. Last year I took this one from NY to CA, did cross-state from Nappa to SD and then to Las Vegas... and then flew it back from LV to NYC... I just couldn't drive it back due to my short vacation days. The engine sounds louder than the day I got it but everything is still ticking and thumping. Although I think Nissan could have used better paint coating method. If a small chip is made the weather will chip it out even more. Very soft paint job I might add. Wouldn't you believe I'm still averaging 22mpg city and 38mpg highway?

Can't Able To Access "frequently Asked Questions" Area
BuffaloHelp replied to niran's topic in Web Hosting Support
Hummmm that's interesting...I changed the index page to two line sentence but now it's back to the same behavior. I will fix this soon.Strange... try this link and it shows my message: go to the main page of this forum and click on the FAQ link. It shows my message, yet when I type the direct URL it shows spam sites. -
Ah... so we're back to the beginning of a circle.Have you contacted GoDaddy support line to see what might be causing the issue? Basically, if you cannot relinquish nameserver for your domain it's either GoDaddy does not allow changing of nameserver by the client OR you do not have the permission to do so at this time.

Sounds like the laptop has non-working LAN card. When looking under the Network Connection Perperty, do you see TWO protocol icons? (one for TCP/IP and the other for Intel protocol). If you only see one protocol installed, chances are your network card's driver did not install or missing the protocol driver. Installing the proper driver will make your wired/wireless card to work properly. How old is the laptop and have you ever made internet connection using this laptop prior?

Your NS records at the parent servers are:parkct1.secureserver.net. [64.202.165.112 (NO GLUE)] [uS]parkct2.secureserver.net. [68.178.211.119 (NO GLUE)] [uS][These were obtained from s.de.net]You must unpark from GoDaddy and change those nameservers to Xisto - Web Hosting's nameservers.Once you have changed nameservers to Xisto - Web Hosting, then use the cpanel to Park your domain OR contact Xisto - Web Hosting support to change your registered domain with your hosting. Two hosting companies cannot claim one domain name. And currently GoDaddy has the claim over your domain point.

Ah... I don't know what we're talking about here. Are you asking for HTML table error where an extra 1px width is showing the picture above? The figure you provided, is that your construction of a script of part of Windows programs?Just to share my experience. I tried long ago to make my webpage identical to the Windows help "look." And I noticed that the gap between top menu of the browser and my webpage there was this "fade in embeveled" line. I tried to get rid of it but the bottom line is that it was all browser's fault. Internet Explorer automatically creates the separation 1px line between the browser menu and the webpage. Is that what you are talking about?

Kardus,I have a question. You changed the nameservers to Xisto and you're not hosted with Xisto yet (due to your error), then how come I am seeing a picture that says, "No Wai!!!"?If you have not deleted your domain from your previous hosting provider, please do so before you activate your Xisto account.

IP tools reveals two things: the initial registration IP used by a member and all IP addresses used by a member. But even simpler method is when a fake user X posts in forum Y, the IP will be logged in that Y forum. The real user in Xisto posts on or around the similar time frame, we simply compare the IP addresses logged and that can tell whether it was the same user. Although IP addresses may be dynamic, it does not change over night or within few days. The usual IP reassign occurs about month or longer.

That sounds illogical. If admins only compared forum handles to make the decision, there wouldn't be any member in any given forum. The carefully crafted forum and its admin will launch legitimate complaint to OpaQue and submit spammer's full information, i.e. email used to register, registeration IP and so on. If the information provided does not match Xisto member's profile the reply from OpaQue will be something like, "no that is not my forum member and should be treated with X forum's TOS." When a complaint is launched but no such information is provided, OpaQue ignores it all together. This is the standard practice of Xisto: innocent until proven guilty. OpaQue is the only admin of Xisto. You need not worry about other server admins. They follow OpaQue's instruction and OpaQue did not establish Xisto where a mere email will send Xisto member into a tailspin. When OpaQue suspends an account it is because due to strong evidence that is indisputable with any excuse. There may be a case where a hosting member of Xisto is not at fault for sending out mass spam emails. However, this is still the responsibility of hosting account's owner--not making sure all scripts present in hosting account are free from fault or insecurity. This is also stated in AUP and hosting TOS.
-
You make it sound like OpaQue just suspends hosting without a reason. When OpaQue suspends a hosting site, it's well after weeks (sometimes months) worth of evidence. Either you don't have faith in OpaQue's ability or you don't have faith that you will be held innocent until proven guilty. And focus on a single issue: are you worried that your hosting will be affected because what goes on outside of this forum? Or are you worried that your reputation of your current handle is at risk? Your hosting will not be affected just because someone has your same handle in a forum X. What's that got to do with Xisto forum? And when that member's IP address and your Xisto IP address do not match, the case will not hold water. Right? Someone sends spam email the header will always show where it was originated. If the header reveals your IP or ISP information (or web-based) but does not match your previous email origination you will not be held accountable.

Forum Article Search Improvement Is this possible?
BuffaloHelp replied to Mich's topic in Web Hosting Support
The search feature is a built-in function of IPB. This is another reason that topic title is very important to this forum. It's all about searching. If your quest for finding an answer is unsuccessful, all you have to do is post your question in most relevant topic. for example, under "video convert" topic if what you are looking for is not addressed, just reply with "hey guys what about going from X codec to Y codec?"If your question pertains to audio conversion, find the most relevant to audio convert or audio codec and address the same way. After all, that is how a forum suppose to function. -
AD, your IP using in Xisto is logged and will be compared if and when the question of spam arise. Although I can look into another hosting members files/forums that would be a violation of trust between the hosting provider and hosting user without a prior consent.I cannot, furthermore, make someone to divulge an information at will. There must be an accusation and time to process and collect necessary logs to come to a conclusion. But it seems like coolduck already performed his administrative duty and stopped anymore non-sense from your name thief. If you are concerned with your reputation from being tarnished, the only way you can prevent is to go to all existing forums and register your name in each and every one of them. Or, you can sit back and just concentrate in your area.
