What Is The Little Orange Box Beside The Topic?
BuffaloHelp replied to sugarplumsistar's topic in Web Hosting Support
You can see the description when you hover over the icon, it will appear "Goto last unread". And the rest is exactly what cmatcmextra said. In fact, whenever you are unclear about a certain icon just point to that icon and wait for few to see the description. Thank you for your query and now this thread is closed. -
Dr. Watson debugger appears because you "killed" Dr. Watson from running fully. The symptom of START button not responding may be that you have some spyware installed that is still loading, well after Windows GUI interface has loaded. Check to see if you have spyware with various spyware removal tools.Another way of checking is access your task manager and see which program is using up all your CPU usage (you can sort by clicking on CPU column).

I've Read Pinned Topics Above... Still Need Help!
BuffaloHelp replied to Milovoriel's topic in Web Hosting Support
On the email you received just after you were approved for the hosting package, you will find all necessary instructions and links to access your "hosting drive". This email will tell you what would be your FTP address and cPanel login address, including the username you have set and the password. Once you have the access to your hosting drive, go to the /public_html folder and either over write the existing index.html (watch the extension) file or delete it and just upload your index file. Instead of uploading whole bunch, upload a simple single page at a time and see if it shows up when you type the address, i.e. http://ww38.yoursite.com/ the file you uploaded.ext. Let us know if you are still having some issues. -

I know that evilguru is working on zip attachment files. I tried mpg file and it showed up as decoded text strings (no streaming or downloading mpg file). Perhaps it's in the libgmailer somewhere to tell how to handle such files? -

Whatthefont?! font recognition system
BuffaloHelp replied to serverph's topic in Websites and Web Designing
JACK POT! Whoa! Awesome. Not only I can identify my desired fonts or fonts that I saw, I can use that website to find what I like about a font character and the site then shows me the font I am looking for. So not only it's an identifier but, to me, a font chooser as well. Thanks. -
Would it be possible to hear you singing your song? I tend to weigh out the entire components of the song before I can say what I feel. As you may have come across, some song that have great melody but terrible lyrics, and vice versa. I am not saying it's terrible but I would like to hear the flow of your song, that's all.

Best Movie Of All Time? what is the best movie of all time?
BuffaloHelp replied to lil_chris's topic in General Discussion
I don't watch movies a lot. But for the best all around movie (something for everyone I suppose) would be Ronin. Enough said! You want car chases? It has one.You want mystery? It has one, too.You want to see something blowing up? Check. You want a love story spring from two totally opposite personality? Check, check! What about a strong leading character that you wish you could be like that? Check, check, check! How about backstabbing, double crossing, spy thriller where you have no idea how does the movie title fit into the movie plot? Answer me this, and answer me that: Who is the true Ronin from this movie? -

I sent an email with a picture of a dog as an attachment to project.website@Gmail.com and titled the subject as test_dog You can see the result by typing http://www.dcrez.co.uk/create/gmail/gmail.php?q=test_dog or simply clicking on it. -
It's a step towards a right direction. A self-satisfaction of knowing that you dealt with a challenge and over came the obstacles would be a reward itself. I started this topic not too long ago and we already have a winner. In the process of this "contest" one new member joined our forum due to current member's invitation. And, I hope that particular thread would be ranked higher in Google's search on Xisto. I think it will benefit both Xisto and Google. Terrible thing about the reward system is that some people thrive on extra benefits yet others are even more turned off by them. For example, when a person loves to work on a computer as a hobby, has better chance of holding on to that "fire" and the passion to work on a computer, compare to a technician who gets paid to perform the same task of fixing a computer day in and day out. I learned that in my Psychology class (so long ago) and I forget what that symptom is called but it exists.

evilguru is our newer member. You can PM this user for further details. Simply, amazing! Would you mind if I post your link to this forum? Notice from BuffaloHELP: Fixed the broken link within quotes. -
Well said! Besides the loophole and editing one's own words to cover the tracks, when there isn't a room to make mistakes one tends to be on extra alert stage. If there was a button to make one's mistake go away this forum will be full of sloppy, incoherent first draft postings. So the responsibility of making this forum nice and strong is shared between admins/mods and members (and not sliding to just one side) when everyone is making a conscious effort to make the first post good each and every time.

Now, now. I'm sure fffanatics could have used better words to guide the newer members into the right direction. Artanis, next time you should search for topics before posting incase when the topic was already discussed. For your eyes check this thread Topic closed.

It's funny you should ask that...I just had one of the members post this topic willing to help out fellow "TRAP17ers" (do you like that? I'm going to coin that phrase). See if that member can help you out. And of course ask that user nicely. I hope this helps.

We have a winner!Someone beat me to it! I was sooooo close... Pending on webmaster's consent, the programmer or I will post the link. It's 100% hosted by Gmail and only thing is not Gmail related is the domain name and a single instruction to call the rest of homepage files.Thank you rvalkass for inviting evilguru to Xisto forum. I can't wait until I have the source code. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Sorry, the forum crashed? during my post and it was double posted. Deleted the second. -
No numbers...just Dates, i.e. Jun 9, 2005. Could it be the pattern of lines on a certain page? It's more perplexing than ever. Edit: HA HA!!! I'm out...boy was the ending freaky or what? Phew...

Viridian Room seems like the room after you exit the Crimson Room. I can see the broken door knob and when looked through the hole I can see the bed. Pretty clever. But I'm having the same problem! What is the combination to the bike lock??? And this time, there isn't any website to go and see a clue. Anyone who escaped from Virdian Room won't you give me a hint to that bike lock's combination? Thank you. I'm so trapped I can feel the walls closing in on me...help!
-
I have tried and guess what... I can't read Japanese!!! LOL. And I'm not about to try 4 digit combinatory to figure out the darn safe code. I want out! I'm suffocating! "Must...have...air~!"--Ace Ventura, The Pet Detective II
-
What have you got me into here? ACK!!I got to the wall safe but I can't figure out the 4 digit code to open the darn thing. If anyone can find out I think I can exit out of that room. I'm not as clever as I used to be. That's the down side of getting old...

lol I love how you did the double red slash lines to keep people from taking it without asking!Nice design! I like the way you used a model as a base (a real photograph) instead of starting with computer generated pictures. If you don't mind me asking who took that picture? Is that a stock photo? I'm looking for a face model for my next shoot in August. What photoshop (if any) did you use? I like your choice of fonts. Are they available for a purchase?Edit: ack, I got caught up replying I forgot to ask is it possible that you can make that picture smaller? Let's say (640x480)? I think it may be too big for the forum. Or you can make a thumbnail and click the link for the full view? Let us mods know.

It's bit unclear to me. Unlocking a SIM chip is illegal. Isn't it? The whole reason it's locked in the first place is to prevent piracy. If there's a software/hardware that can unlock what the manufactures of SIM chips have locked it, that constitutes as crack/warez?! I don't really know so I'm going to let pro-mod or admins to take a look at this post.
