  1. I can agree to what Compute is saying.According to OpaQue, the credit determining script is STATE OF THE ART script. All I know is that when you post common internet phrases, such as LOL or OMG, it does not count towards credits earned. When you type slangs it will ignore it out flat. And lastly, misspelled words will be left out from words counted. But I have noticed that a simple paragraph, constructed out of 5-7 sentences, will earn well into 2-5 credits. I'm saying 2-5 credits because when you start out as a member level "newbie" it will help you to gain faster credits. But once you reach certain member level, i.e. Level 2 or higher, the amount of credits earned for the similar length decreases. This is including the factor that once you are well familiarized yourself with our forum it encourages to participate even more. I also noticed that when your credit reaches zero or below, no matter what level you are, it will help you to bring into positive credit number by giving generous credits per post. The exact algorithm is still unknown and probably will stay that way So spelling DOES matter.Grammar matters, too, since if you cannot understand the post because it's missing punctuations or such, moderators will consider that as spam.
  2. Yes. In fact I added a script that it will not send if the information I want isn't included from the sender. I added another script so that the email address is correctly entered, such as name@address.extension. The possibilities are endless.
  3. Please search the forum before attempting to make a topic. Your topic had started here http://forums.xisto.com/topic/6400-counter-strike-who-plays/ Thank you.
  4. What you are asking is borderline illegal since companies like ReraShack set those firewall in the first place to prevent personal abuse you know what I'm saying? And since it can be viewed as illegal activity, discussing on this forum will also be illegal. But on the subject of intellectual curiosity, if the form of filter is based on words--i.e. you type your subdomain.trap17.com/cpanel--and your browser shows 'permission denied' or something extent to that message, then you could type in the cPanel IP address (the full detail found in the attachment I emailed you) and it may pass the filtering process (since it's not words but numbers). In the past, we discussed about using different proxy server. You can search for proxy servers online. Basically how it works isyou --> log into proxy service --> you type URL --> the service "shows" you the URL page (and not your actual browser going to URL)And still, this is also borderline tricky so I'll stop it here. You can find more on the web by searching. And remember that proxy service method is betting on the chance that your internal firewall did not block that site as well.
  5. CGI formmail requires you to have CGI capability. If the server (other than TRAP) can run PHP here's another link http://forums.xisto.com/topic/20516-email-scriptform-with-php-how-to-make-a-simple-email-script-using-php/ (by the way, snlildude87 also wrote another tutorial but I can't find it at this time) A simple html data retrieval can be expressed as <INPUT TYPE="submit" value="Send"> and all you have to do is place an appropriate text field input argument before this one. You can search for free html formmail generator. I have found some in the past but since I'm now hosted with TRAP, I gave all that up. PS, the sender's email address is absolutely optional. I made my example to include that factor to cover the general knowledge of what cgiemail can do.
  6. Oh gosh... if only you had used the search entry you would have found this http://forums.xisto.com/topic/25640-how-to-use-Xisto-cgi-formmail-a-built-in-script-in-every-hosting/ If you have any question feel free to post it under that article.
  7. Just a reminder, we already have dedicated sports section. Life Talk > Sports. You can create as many different topics as you want in there. Administrators are reviewing your suggestions, however at this time they will be looking for active participations percentage. It'll be a shame to have little or none post when a sub-category is created like such. We already have sections that are almost inactive. For now, direct all your sports related posts to the section I listed. Thank you.
  8. I would like to make sure I understood you correctly. (That's why proper grammar matters--you're missing a comma or period somewhere). You have a top level domain named 1.vgYou created a subdomain called KrypticGFX.1.vg using your domain controlYou want that subdomain to point to Xisto (your hosting)...do I have these correctly? If your domain control panel allows you to create a subdomain and lets you choose a nameserver for that subdomain, then yes it can be done. Otherwise 1.vg has to be hosted in order to do what you want to do. As far as I know, the subdomain cannot be pointed to another nameserver unless you have the reseller's account.Let's say it's working. Then all you need to do is set the nameserver of your subdomain and point it to Xisto. Then, access your Xisto cPanel and park your subdomain. That's it.
  9. That is affirmative.Although, I wouldn't point to the sub directory. Instead, place your Begin.bat and icon on the root directory and change the autoplay accordingly. Here's a simple solution to test out your autoplay without losing a CD. Try using CD-RW And don't forget that in order to utilize autoplay, your school's computer has to be autoplay enabled.
  10. Moving from General Talk to The Real Life > Real Life Experiences.
  11. Hello xaetos,Welcome to Xisto, home of the most intriguing forum and the best Free Web Hosting provider. Looks like you've already made yourself comfortable here. That's very good. ;)In my signature area, I hope you find some useful links to get you acquainted with our forum better. Xisto tries very hard to provide all your hosting needs at zero cost. And in return, Xisto asks you to obey our TOS (terms of service) and forum rules. But I can already see that that's not going to be a problem for you. :)If there are any questions feel free to contact any moderators or administrators via PM (private message).See you around!
  12. phoenixhosting,Please search the forum before making a new topic. This topic has already been discussed in the Internet forum section. Do not post random topics just to gain hosting credits. This is your last warning.
  13. Thank you for being so patient.Your activation is complete! Congratulations and welcome to Xisto Free Web Hosting. Your forum username has been changed to what previously discussed. Also, please change your forum password AND your cPanel password once you access them.Your hosting credits have been reset to 2. This is designed to keep members active in our forum and is normal.I'll leave this thread open for little longer before closing it. If there are any other questions, please feel free to contact administrators or moderators via PM.

  16. Closing topic due to Currently, DomoShiz, you have zero posts.
  17. We have dedicated debates section. The Real Life > Life Talk > Debates And your posts are counted there, so are credits.
  18. I just got hold of OpaQue and he recommends that you do not include anything in your subdomain, either. Which means, your subdomain should be like reatum.trap17.com. If this is alright with you, OpaQue has currently adjusted your subdomain. Please use cPanel username as reatum as well.Thank you.
  19. Moving from What Is...? to Computers > Hardware. Please review the forum description. This is the last friendly warning.
  20. I'm not sure if anyone answered your topic title, but current VoIP requires that you have a broadband, however you get it--DSL, Cable Modem, Satellite. Therefore, the first part of your question is yes. Some people still need the landline if they are subscribers of DSL. And since some Cable Modem and Satellite companies are asking for your home number, which a cell phone number will not help you registering for services in some areas, you still need the landline. It's catch 22.I have Vonage for testing market located in New York City with Time Warner as the broadband company. What Vonage doesn't tell you, and most other VoIP companies, is that for every Vonage VoIP unit you need 90kbs bandwidth for good quality, 60kbs for average and 45kbs for low quality. This means it's a streaming your upload bandwidth. During the off-peak hours the voice quality is awesome at 90kbs. But when the bottleneck starts to occur, the voice quality is average at best and does not connect 100% of the time. But what's good about Vonage, and other companies probably, is that two Vonage VoIP can be connected to make a call. Which means, I can have one in New York and the other in London and it won't cost me a single penny except for the monthly fee.
  21. Re_Atum,No, what OpaQue is saying is that your cPanel name CANNOT have special characters. So, if you used Re_Atum as your cPanel username, that's what the process is rejecting it. Please try it again without any special characters. For example, reatum.PS:OpaQue, Re_Atum applied subdomain name as re_atum.trap17.com but when tried to activate that name, the error message appeared. So this member changed it to re-atum.trap17.com. Will that cause this error?
  22. Could you define how they are legal? I mean, explain they are legal because...? Maybe I am in the dark ages but I can foresee this discussion going the wrong way, completely. And since having a ROM version of copyrighted materials are still illegal--unless you have the expressed consent by the publisher of said materials, the discussion will have to end here. Instead of closing the thread I'll leave it open for you to reply.
  23. "re-atum" was this changed by OpaQue or by you? When you applied for re_atum, it probably was set with the underscore. Reply back as to who changed it. If you changed it without administrator knowing about it, chances are that you have to PM OpaQue to straighten things out. But reply here so that we know what the next step should be.And just to cover basics, there are two types of username and password you have to use when activating. The first is the forum username and password. The second is your cPanel username, which is Re_Atum, and makeup a password for your cPanel.
  24. malish,The ping results and whois results are all returning with the correct setting values. So, at this point I would like to ask you, when you changed domain name in your cPanel did you enter the whole http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ or just aigraphics.net?In the mean time, let me see if I can get in touch with OpaQue and ask him with details. Thanks for being so patient
  25. There a good chance this might be the scenario. If your account was suspended due to over bandwidth usage at the beginning of this month, although you upgraded your hosting plan to higher bandwidth allowed, you might have to wait until the beginning of the next month for your suspension to be lifted. This is due to server script that locks your account bandwidth that is set for the whole month. If I am wrong assuming this, OpaQue or Johnny can confirm and provide you with the right answer.
