  1. From the people who brought you "I cannot believe it's not butter" and "WWJD" comes "iBelieve" the trend setting fashionable iPod that even your priest would even agree, "it's da bomb, yo!" http://www.devoted1.com/ The cap is made from the same material as iPod, according to the website, and the same precision ball bearing fitting so your iPod is not damaged in any way. So wear it all and confess your sins at the same moment. May be you can listen to some spiritual songs and tell the world you wear cross around your neck. HA HA I can just see it now: a priest dressed in all black (how else would he dress? ) with that infamous white collar, walking down the avenue with shinning cross around his neck. Nothing usual. Except that you see the familiar white earphone hanging lose. What's this? He is actually skipping as he walks down the street. Oh no! This priest is listening to music and it's iBelieve iPod... Oh please! Someone has to put a stop to this nonsense! The marketing world has over abused, and it has over saturated our lives with useless gimmicks and gadgets that we can all live without.
  2. If someone contacted you and said, "I'd like to buy your blog" would you know how and what to set as the price? What if you can get more out of it...what if you are calling higher price than actually worth? Wouldn't it be nice if something can actually measure the content quality of your blog? There are some of key words that this calculation predicts and measures the price of your blog, but other than that little flaw I think it's pretty interesting. We have a web visitor's count, we have download count, we have page has been viewed count so why not how much this page is worth count? I would be nice to display this proudly if it actually worth what the little sticker says. Go get this code and install it on your site by visiting http://www.business-opportunities.biz/2005/11/16/how-much-is-my-blog-worth-now/
  3. There's some confusion here. Zip files are allowed. What is not allowed is having illegal materials (few things such as mp3, cracks, and adult pictures) in zip format is not allowed. That is all.
  4. Before you make a new post, please search the forum! The answers are mainly located in the Hosted Member's area. You can read them but cannot reply back. You would've noticed there that I have placed cPanel demo link. You can also find the link in my signature. To answer your question: yes. We provide you with Xisto's subdomain and you can create your own subdomain. You can even park another domain to your host. It is up to you.Thank you.----- Topic closed, further inquires please use the links below or search -----
  5. I believe the technical support is sending you an email saying that your SQL is incorrectly established or it's calling out a wrong procedure. Probably that's why your site wasn't loading all the way--it was crashing your own database, along with the server.
  6. Yes, you can upload a single zipped file and unzip them from cPanel. That is a commonly practiced method, although using a FTP program is just as easy. And you're going to have to rephrase your second part of the question. If I assume your question, my answer will be no, you cannot exceed your monthly bandwidth. However, I don't ever see anyone uploading 1GB of file since your account would only hold 20mb. And if you upload 20mb, delete, upload it again it will take you 50 times. And if you must repeat this many I think you might be doing something wrong.By the way, plan#1 is 20mb with 500mb BW. Plan#2 is 150mb with 5GB BW.Edited as reported... it's been a long day
  7. I'm sorry the previous topic was deleted accidentally when I went to control a spam post. Again, any spam reply will be deleted on the spot--no exceptions. Currently we have ranking name only up to 200 posts. I would like to add the followings: Post count: 500 Member rank: To Be Announced Post count: 1000 Member rank: TBA Post count: 2000 Member rank: TBA Post count: 3000 Member rank: TBA Post count: 4000 Member rank: TBA Post count: 5000 Member rank: TBA I was trying for few names like: TRAP 1, TRAP 2, Trappateer, Trap Cadet, Trap General, Trap Admiral, TRAP4Life etc. Suggest your own names according to how you see it fit. I would like everyone to participate in this thread.
  8. I think guangdian has the correct idea there. Whenever a wrong site/page is called your 404 error page shows as the default page. Xisto's cPanel offers customizable 404 page that you can set it to say anything or do anything. You can write a 404 error message and insert a code to redirect to any URL with or without time delay.Good suggestion, guangdian.
  9. sunkist, Try adding just http://histology-world.com/ so that your list is The reason even your own page cannot show your own images is that when you link your image in HTML you type <img src="/image/picture.jpg"> And this is calling for your parent directory. And since your parent directory is first (I think) called as "http://histology-world.com/; (again I don't know why WWW is omitted but try it). So add the second link without WWW and see if it works out. I updated my cPanel demo page just for this thread. You can find it in my signature link.
  10. For those who are curious about what Yahoo's official email looks like on your Yahoo's account, here it is. Yahoo has assured me that as far as they can tell, all Yahoo's official mail will have that blue highlight with Y! icon present. And they will not send you an email unless you make the first contact. I have small business account with them so they send me monthly message. So use this as your reference, however, Yahoo may contact you if your account address is involved in mass spamming. But that's still a remote chance since Yahoo has implemented "mail originator" protocol where a hidden headline can verify if it was actually sent by Yahoo or not.
  11. No way! Really? Only 1-2% so which means sites that claims to earn good chunk of money are having visitors over couple of ten thousands? WOW. See, I click on certain ads even though I know there might be a catch. I click on it because it DOES look interesting to read it. It's either the ad has targeted me or I'm just a sucker for flashing ad banners Anyway, going back to unlimited specifications on hostings?I do realize now that if a hosting company is offering ?unlimited? things, chances are they ARE counting on the fact that some account will not use up all at once (as OpaQue as described it on the first post). I know this because I signed up with another unlimited free web hosting and it went down yesterday?and stayed down until now. I rather have the service that shows quota. At least this way I know what I am getting and not expecting something extraordinary.

  13. This forum is run under a hosting credit system, thus, editing feature is only available to moderators and administrators. Please find "Where Is Edit?" link in my signature to find out more. And besides, if you wouldn't mind someone else can use this thread to resolve an issue without going through what you went through... by the way, what was the exact solution for windows logon screen not showing up?
  14. Yes.When you post one liner, like your post, moderators and administrators will delete it. Once your post is deleted, your credit is reduced sometimes more than you earned for that post. And when a member decides to ignore our warning and forum rules, like copying and pasting or spamming, moderators and administrators not only have the tool to delete (this will reduce earned credits) but perform additional deduction in your credits.
  15. Hello there. Welcome to Xisto. Please use my signature links to know and understand our forum rules. Make your posts longer and with quality. Our forum depends on your contribution and one sentence is considered as SPAM.I know you can improve on your posts. Apply again when you have post quality posts. See you then.
  16. It is a hidden secret algorithm that OpaQue would not share it with me LOL. But this is what I know so far. When you are newbie, the credit system is designed you with rewarding, let's say, 0.05 credits per word (a higher credit per word/post). [Please understand that this is not how it works but I am using it to clarify myself]As you climb the member rank the credits earned per word is diminished, encouraging you to participate in the forum often. This prevents and/or encourages two things: 1) a member earned constant credits per word/post a member can accumulate 365 credits and this forum will never see that member for 1 year, 2) instead of writing your usual ways, you begin to think of different writing style--this of course gives you higher credits earn per post. How exactly, I haven't a clue. But I notice it when I write a simple reply verses structured reply, my credit earned for that post fluctuates. It's also taken into a consideration that certain area may have higher traffic thus a member can earn quite a lot of credits instead of roaming around the forum. By limiting credits earned in the popular section, you are once again encouraged to participate in the discussion on other forum sections. And lastly, if your credit falls below zero the credit system is designed to reward you with each post--thereby bring you faster into a positive credit number, which in turn faster un-suspension of your website.
  17. I asked OpaQue if I could have two accounts, one in Xisto and one in Xisto, he told me he wouldn't have any problem with that. The AUP states that free hosting service is per person, per account which means your account here is separate from Xisto account. However, transferring credits between two services is not possible.
  18. I believe you would agree to my view when I state that heat is the most common killer for CPU speed. No matter how fast the processor is, when it is heating up and there isn't an adequate cooling system it will slow down to protect itself. I mean they are all designed to do so. That's one of the reasons that my desktop restarted every 10 minutes during past hot summer. ^_^Problem with laptop is that due to its limited space the cooling system is minimized. This means after x number of hours of usage, it will slowdown. The manufactures of laptops knows this but still betting on the fact that the laptop will not be used consecutively for more than 4 hours at a time. Therefore, it may have all the specifications equal to a desktop but it sure will not perform like a desktop in longevity. Knowing and realizing the possible limitations of a laptop, I'd like you to consider following manufactures. Emachine. I know I think I heard a laugher there. My friend purchased Emachine AMD 64bit processor (3000+ I think) with 15.4 inch screen last year for under $1000. He spent an extra $150 to bring DDR to 1GB. With 80GB hard drive space he's been very happy for the past 1 year or so. I laughed too when he bought it. Now I?m thinking I missed out on a deal of a life time. So I went for shopping few months ago and found Toshiba Satellite A75-S209 for $800. Simply amazing! You have to see it but this is the only laptop that I saw with 2 ventilations and 1 gigantic copper fin visible for excellent cooling, and not to mention the brightness of the screen. It?s Intel 3.06 HT with 15.4 inch screen, 512 DDR with ATI 9500 shared memory (up to 64mb). I am in love with this laptop. By the way, Intel's HT technology almost out performs AMD 64bit, according to my own test with 100 times load and unloads of project under Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier. So, my recommendation will be go take a look at a laptop from your local retail store. Look for what you would consider a good design. I rather pay extras for upgrades than the fastest CPU which would only to slow down due to accumulating heat.
  19. I created an account to see what would be wrong and when you want to access your myphpadmin your login ID is the number that is assigned to your database and the password is your account password.
  20. Please be aware that the following flash file contains images that may offend some of you. http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/elvis I can't believe I saw our avatars featuring, wassie. LOL
  21. There was a brief hiccup today with cPanel and SQL. It's all fixed and that's why you couldn't access your cPanel. Many of us couldn't.When your account is suspended you cannot access your cPanel and FTP, which means no you cannot work on your website. However, you can work on your website offline.----- Topic resolved, closed -----
  22. It happens to me sometimes, too. And although I don't have the correct answer I have to assume that OpaQue is modifying skins for the forum--thus few kinks need to be worked out still.I am currently using LITE skin and, although many of you expressed that it's boring, it's working well for me.
