Hi anima!Welcome to Xisto! We've conversed unofficially before but now I'd like to welcome you officially. Xisto IS awesome and provides awesome services. All we ask is that you respect our forum rules and our Terms Of Service. As you know I tried to place few key posts that every member should be aware of in my signature area. I believe we have few Russian members and we have Regional and Regional Affairs section just to talk about your country, if you wish. :)By the way, your English is just fine and very well! Good to see you.

Questions That Disturbing Me about TRAP17 hosting and etc.
BuffaloHelp replied to anima's topic in Web Hosting Support
emma is correct. You will lose 1 credit per day WHEN you are hosting. As long as you do not activate your hosting you will not lose any credit. But don't misunderstand me. For example, you earned 100 credits before applying for free web hosting. When you activate it will be reset to 2 and NOT 90 or 70. Since we are all volunteers of Xisto, the demo version of cPanel will be done when I have ample amount of free time. I do have other errands outside of these forum walls -
Questions That Disturbing Me about TRAP17 hosting and etc.
BuffaloHelp replied to anima's topic in Web Hosting Support
Please remember to read ALL of our pinned topics before asking questions. Yes that's exactly the system. You make a quality post (good length with correct spellings and not spamming) will earn various credits. 1 post does not mean 1 credit. 1 post can sometimes give you 2-5 credits. Xisto hosts for members from all around the world in various age range. Although we promote to post in English on the forum, your site does not have to be 100% English. However, please remember that if your site is breaking Xisto's Terms Of Service (TOS) that your account is immediately terminated and you will not be able to retrieve it. Yes. In my signature area you'll find a link to cPanel demo. It's not complete but for now it will give you an idea what our cPanel looks like. Please go the Free Web Hosting Request area and READ the pinned topics regarding application form. It should be self-explanatory Be advised that when you start with the plan #1 (10 credits) and later you wanted to upgrade to plan #2 it will still cost you another 30 credits and your credits will be reset to 2. Credits are ALWAYS reset to 2 (currently) so that it keeps your activity consistently after becoming a hosting member. So please choose wisely. -
The minimum time delay for the auto refresh is set to 30 minutes. In the mean time, you can manually refresh the shoutbox by clicking on "REFRESH" button found just under the shoutbox. The set time delay is to conserve the server resource and CPU load.Thank you.

I'm moving this from Website Discussion to Questions & Queries.Xisto.com offers zero ads and unmatched add-ons that you cannot find it anywhere. Please read through links provided in my signature. Our hosting rule is simple: you gain hosting credit by posting. The quality of your post will determine hosting credits earned. 1 credit = 1 day you can have free web hosting. Sub-domains are provided by Xisto. You can purchase domain and use our hosting service by amending the nameserver. There are limitations, however, to the hosting space provided by Xisto--20mb for plan #1 and 500mb for plan #2. The bandwidth limitations are 500mb and 5000mb, respectively. Again, refer to my signature for further details.Thank you.

Just to fill my curiosity could you click on the link in my signature area to install FileZilla? It's only because I'm not proficient with another program besides what I'm used to.Here's what I'm thinking. Your FTP program is somehow triggering something from connecting to the server. Either that the server thinks you are still in session or performing malice attempts (again these are pure assumptions of mine, and not technically correct). So let's try this.1. EDIT your HOSTS file.2. try connecting to your site, FTP anything you would normally do 3. if the same problem occurs, install FileZilla4. try, again, do the usual manner things and reconnect to your site

Wassie Is Getting A Opperation on his toes...
BuffaloHelp replied to wassie's topic in General Discussion
wassie,I suppose in about 1 hour from now you should be coming out of the surgery. Did you write in big bold letters "not this leg"? LOL I heard some horror stories that sometimes surgeons get mixed up and they operate on the wrong foot/amputate But in your case, you're in luck that you need it on both of your toes.Like I said, don't worry about it since it's a routine procedure. I guess you won't be playing soccer very soon. HA HA HA Be well and wish you a speedy recovery! -
Looks like you brought your credit to the positive side. Anytime you fall below the zero credit line make quality posts to bring yourself about. If your account falls into suspension, bring your credits up and wait about 1 hour for the server to reanimate your account.----- Topic resolved, thread closed -----

Lozbo, If you noticed that you cannot see your website AFTER using FTP to upload/download try reading this thread http://forums.xisto.com/topic/28789-account-upgrade-cant-access-my-site/ completely and see if you can pin-point when exactly you cannot see your site: Is it right after using FPT Is it certain times of the day Is it every day Clearning up your browser's cache usually helps. But if it does not help you can try to ping your website using the command prompt. But if that does not help see the link in my signature regarding editing your HOSTS file. Also, do set your site address and Xisto's address as TRUSTED site under your browser's security setting.

Page Cannot Be Displayed Problems with presenting my site
BuffaloHelp replied to Hiaito's topic in Web Hosting Support
I think I know why. And I hope it's not too late. It's because it has hyphen in your subdomain name. Hiaito, if you get this message try changing your subdomain name to something without any special characters in it. For example, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ if it's not already taken. Because I can see your site by typing http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ try changing your subdomain name. It will cost you 15 credits using https://support.xisto.com/ and when it works I will reimburse your credit. It's on me. Edit: IP address. -

Guys, I know you are frustrated but try not to double post. niloc do you notice that whenever you connection to FTP then you cannot access your website? We had a member who experienced the same and later we found out that that member's FTP settings were what's causing cPanel and website not to work. I think it was something related to the connection session timeout or something. Try using a different FTP client or setting it differently (since I do not know what FTP client you are using I cannot tell you how at this moment). In my signature you'll find FileZilla link. If you are not using that try it. DogEater008 now that we know it's not the website issue for you, at least, we can rule out that it's TRAP's server. This means something to do with your ISP. Why, I do not have an answer. But sometimes it happens to all ISP. When I first activated my hosting it happened to me as well. In my signature you'll find a link to HOSTS. This is something you can do the next time you're experiencing the same problem. Editing HOSTS file will let your Windows know that instead of trusting your ISP's "connection list" it trusts internal "list" and goes after the web address. This will not harm your computer (please follow it to the T). How to ping: Open your command prompt and type ping yoursite Good luck you guys and hopefully this will be over soon.

Going off topic: this is due to making your domain lock by Yahoo. Only the owner of domain can unlock the domain via domain control. Yahoo techs cannot enter your account. That's why the transfer is hard...not because of Yahoo but the extra security that each user decided to put. Remember, it's not the service or the hardware; it's the user But I'm not defending Yahoo. Yes, they have confirmed me over the phone saying that the renewal cannot accept the special promotion. Which means after 5 years I would have to pay the regular price. But I'm betting on the fact that in 5 years the domain purchase price would go down. If not, I'll let it die for a day or two and then rebuy it back.

I think it's just you two as far as I know. Let's try clearing up your cache of your browser for now and see if that helps you out.If you cannot access your cPanel and your site is down try pinging your web address. If you can ping successfully then there's a problem with cPanel and etc. If you cannot ping that's entirely a different story. It could be your ISP or Xisto.

Yahoo is offering $2.99 per year (thats including any available domain name with com net org info biz us) with the maximum of 5 years. I do not gain any personal profit from promoting Yahoos domain purchases. But I happened to like Yahoos DNS control and Yahoo is well trust in my book. This offer isnt better than the $1.99 they had few months ago but certainly better than their usual $4.99 or even $9.99 domain offers. Heres the gray prints Remember, only NEW domain purchases. You can visit the site here https://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/

Well, this is just a first step. As I can see it, imagine the usage for a magazine covers, news paper headlines, portable small screens (ipod, digital camera, printers, watch etc). They are now animated, playing short clips, headline scrolling across, your flyer and brochures will never be the same... and in full color! Can you imagine when this is used as a restaurant menu? You will never have to update your menu in the means of conventional Kinko?s style. All you need is a computer and an uplink. Your patrons can see the menu description along with actual steaming plate that just to dive in for. Imagine the ad bombardment--constant flashing letters and graphics to draw your attention and, perhaps, to tune out the distraction by pulling out thin display with the complete works of Shakespeare, like an e-book.What about for map industries? You carry a simple roll out or pull out 8x10 sheet with small GPS receiver attached. You click a button and bam! it shows your location with full color map received from satellite. It?s just a matter of time when this will be used for your passport, identification card?the possibilities are almost limitless.

I voted. I wonder if you can have "other" reason with fill in text box. But then again, I don't understand how the layout is formatted so I'm not entirely sure if that's even possible. But without offending anyone, I leave you with these words of wisdom:"...oh thank god. Thank you sir Health Nazi, I almost enjoyed my life there for a moment..." - Drew Carey (You have to see his stand up comedy to know the joke's true meaning) -
So hot, it's sizzling my computer monitor Hot or Not: Liz Cho (for those who do not watch early morning's news here's the link to what she looks like Notice from BuffaloHELP: I can see that this is turning into SPAM thread (one liner response) so I'm moving to Entertainment section, which should have been posted there in the first place
