  1. Well I made Gratis known that it links right back to them, they didn't respond for days now.But yeah their obviously hiding extremely important details.
  2. I had DHCP enabled, but still it didn't help?Maybe mine just doesn't handle DNS so well.
  3. I would personally recommend Gmail overall. If you are looking for any specific features or things like that, let us know and we can give better advice as to which mail provider may be better suited to you.
  4. Yeah it will work fine here of course.Aside from any issue not related to Xisto.I do not use phpBB myself, but seen as that is the very latest version to my knowledge, you may be better off going to the phpBB forums themselves to ask about this (especially if the mod is hosted on the site, they will have a special thread just for it, from my experience).Good luck!
  5. Wow 10 people connected on that connection speed, I am not surprised you are having issues. It sounds likely what Jimmy has mentioned could be the issue.I would say something to do with the modem/router configuration.I also had this issue with my new ISP, well to explain it:I was with Telstra Bigpond ISP and recieved both my ADSL modems and in-built routers from them, which were pre-configured, DNS and everything. It is still set to vic.bigpond.com or some such, and when I swapped ISP's using rapid transfer service, I decided to disable this (thinking it was irrelevant) but this caused the Ethernet connected computer to fail with website (I didn't try direct IP's), but once I re-enabled this, it started working again. So it could be possible, something like this may be what is causing the issue.
  6. Yeah I have definitely heard that laptops are generally difficult to upgrade and usually not advise (aside from RAM and the like). But going as far as bolting it down and such..... wow that's not nice is it (is there a really good reason for this practice........).But yeah, you really want to check into that, I suppose contacting the manufacturer about the situation is really the best idea.
  7. Minesweeper now that is a classic.I am no good at it really however lol.Hey Virtual Cop, is that the one where you can have the gun in the arcade and shoot the screen? (I liked that one, and a similar game with the gun made for Playstation, wish I had it myself).
  8. Ahhhhh yes that would certainly make sense.Although it slightly complicates the data lol.
  9. I think they are looked on as normal employee's mostly everywhere aside from special circumstances. Some are even looked upon as some type of modern cheap labour force.
  10. It is definitely a scam and not truly legit. It does highly questionable things, with holds very important details and basically puts you through a process with false beliefs until you later find out for yourself.Apparently it stems from Gratis Internet. Is there anything that can be done? especially seen as important details are obviously left out on purpose until it is far too late.
  11. Oh right that makes sense about the JS code.Is there not an alternative method that is more reliable? Can PHP be of any help possibly?
  12. I voted maybe.I can't prove by any means or any experience that it is even possible, nor do I personally know anyone or have met anyone that believes it does.Logically it would seem not, I would say what ever is left would naturally go back of what is left and re-used just like fertaliser, maybe it's not nice or fancy to think this way but there is nothing wrong with that.New life may very well be influenced by what returns.
  13. I voted for neither.I am absolutely hooked on myBB since I joined another community recently that uses it.I just cannot get enough of looking at it, and how it works lol.I mean it's nothing amazing but I just love it.Wow 4 I's lol.
  14. Wow that sounds good, I haven't heard of this yet.But that is a nasty little innacuracy.I would probably contact them and explain it, there might be a good reason why.
  15. Very good information Vusja.Although a cron job is fast, more simple and convenient.Building up a system that goes on a need only basis suits web applications very nicely.Data is not required to be updated until someone actually requests it (there is no point in doing so earlier). For example, a high score table for users could work this way.You still might want to rig it up, not to do it too often, but the flipside is that if no one accesses it in a longer time, you save further resources in the process.
  16. He is talking about Broadband so I assume his modem has an in-built router.I have never seen one that does not have it.Most I have seen use both USB and Ethernet, so if you are lucky and this is the case, simply plug Ethernet to the Mac (it should work right away with no changes) and USB to Windows (you will probably need drivers that come with the modem/router).And that's all, nothing more, it'll all work without the need for interference from the likes of ICS etc.
  17. I really do not know why but mine can take up to 5 minutes. Most of that time spent is a blank screen with a blinking _.And then hopefully the login screen shows up for XP Home SP2.Does anyone know any nice little things I can do to speed it up, that shouldn't affect too much?I don't currently mess with any settings that would affect booting, and I would prefer if I do anything, it not negatively impact on other things.
  18. I would like to see more specialized photoshop tutorials as well as ones like this, but it would be really great if you had images to go along with it, even if they are hosted somewhere else, or you could link to a location where it includes them.It would be much better to see what's going on, and for some people to get a sneak peek at what to expect as an end result, it'll also help identify if the instructions were followed properly and whether they may need tweaking and/or adjustments.

I agree with the others, local is the way to go.I know there are some good reasons for going external, but it is far reliable to have a smuch as possible in the same spot.
  20. I never liked ipod's much either. That and the price is ridiculous, considering I have 2 that are so much cheaper and have lasted for a couple of years, and the other quite some months, with great battery life, and really nothing else to complain about.A touch screen is nice but certainly not at that price.
  21. Yeah so basically the structure intended for the file type associated will not be interpreted, but I can be used "technically", of course it wouldn't be much help, but nice to know that it is not restricted.
  22. Ahhh true.Well those responsibilities do come first and good on you. Some people just can't get away eh.
  23. Yeah even now, some tags can be an absolute pain under certain circumstances, especially when you bring CSS into the mix.
  24. Well, while smoking is certainly not a good thing generally, it benefits me personally in very small ways.1. I have to get up to have a smoke. (break).2. Not now but want to make it so smoking only allowed outside (to promote getting of ones butt and not mullin the place up with smoke, I would imagine it being healthier to some degree).3. I get a bit of exercise and stretching.4. If I did not smoke, I would probably not move, nor be so fidgity and would eat more (probably end up fat and even unhealthier/unfitter).5. Not smoking pisses my Asthma off (no idea why, sickness does too).6. Due to the fidgeting I don't sit still long enough in a chair, to over relax myself in a position that probably isn't healthy.Kind of odd such benefits, but I would have none them if I did not smoke (from my experience from before smoking and now).
  25. That is quite interesting. What that effect me so much?I am quite a fidgety person, and am never fully comfortable, so even in bed I move around quite a lot. I think the reason why I somehow manage to put none or not much weight on over time despite falling into lazy times is because I fidget around so much.Do you think this would be better or worse for my back generally (I do rather sit slumped in and bent too much though >_>).
