  1. Seems fine now. I had a couple of slips but other then that it's just fine.P.S. Does anyone have any clue how you can have increased AdSense ad sizes? I use 728x90 but I need it atleast with 738 width...
  2. Oh yeah good point, I didn't think of that at the time (I was a little tipsy ).Anyway I edited my post and asked to private message me instead.
  3. Ahh if it's a problem with Xisto then I am relieved lol, I moderate over at slavehack.com (browser/text based hacking game) and some know of my site, I was hoping someone didn't get pissy and bugger around with my site.*phew, whipes forhead*
  4. I just tried to visit my site to see if anything had changed on my forums and such and I got this message:Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /xxxx/xxxxx/xxxxxx_xxxxx/xxx/xx_xxxx.php on line 7Error! Could not connect: Too many connections.I have never recieved this error before, does this mean someone is mucking with my site somehow???The particular php file it mentions is the one that defines variables like db username etc and connection to the site's database that I include wherever it is needed in various file for the site.EDIT:I managed to get in and went to another page and again recieved another error message:Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /xxxx/xxxxx/xxxxxx_xxxx/xxx/xx_xxxxx.php on line 7Error! Could not connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
  5. I use the standard session method, it's server side sessions as far as I know and not client.
  6. Gmail seems to be buggered right now, half the time it won't let me specify a username, it keeps auto entering the same one and not showing an input field to enter another. Also earlier today no matter what account you tryed to sign into, it always signed into the same one..... I think it may be a cookie issues.Anyway yeah if anyone wants one I can do invites, I have like 91 left, Don't think I'll need them all. Just send an a private message to me with you email address requesting an invite.
  7. I wouldn't have known unless my misses pointed it out to me but it's only little bits that are actually taken from there, not the entire post content so it should be ok I guess?
  8. I use sessions. The code should only ever execute once except if a user by mistake refreshed the page one or more times.I have a temporary or permanent fix now that should have been obvious to me long ago but well it's fixed. I send a few values such as message content and username, I basically just check to see if the message content is null.Users shouldn't be trying to post blank messages and such and it should mean that the data for that particular instance was not sent from the right page properly.I also managed to fix alot of other small bugs that I have been meaning to get out of the way, I just needed some time to focus on the affected code and it didn't take too long at all after that to figure out something to fix it up.
  9. Within my site I have built my own basic forum using PHP/Mysql, I always test locally now both using EasyPHP and WAMP5 which both give me no problems what so ever. But when I tryed to run the exact same code on Asta's hosting services (and possible another I used to use) when creating a new thread or adding a reply to an existing one it *sometimes* adds an additional thread/reply as a Guest (someone not signed in) with an empty message. This would lead me to believe that somehow the page is being refreshed and the variables sent to the database update php file are obviously not filled in unless sent from the proper page. But why does this behaviour happen only on using web services from others and works perfect for me using a completely different version of mysql/php and the same version on my machine?
  10. I'd say leave it up to choice? Some female movie star or car crash victim having plastic surgery isn't going to affect me or have the world blown up so let it be.....Same with cloning I suppose, but then you got to worry about rights and things, are they treated as clones or just another human but brought about with a different approach.
  11. Looks and sounds like a great fast computer but those frame rates don't sound too impressive considering how much power is being pumped into that thing.....
  12. I don't really like any of them that much but I hate RnB and RAP with a passion. Waste of time, money and words as far as I am concerned. Some weird people like it so much they think their black.... weird weird people :|
  13. I'm not really worried about cloning either, and to the original poster, that would assume that god does infact exist (which he may or may not, nobody really knows). There's alot of things to consider I suppose (probably mentioned in some the larger posts I haven't taken a look at yet in this thread).
  14. I was about to offer some myself as last time I checked I have quite a number of invites left (something like 90 or so) and didn't realise you could sign up for them yet.Are you sure it allows the signup for @gmail.com accounts?
  15. Some of that information is basically from w3schools.com, you might want to mention this or basically re-write it in your own words or staff here won't be too happy with you
  16. I usually just get the necessary information first and check it when needed later on.....Or with user things their username/password is registered using $_SESSION and sometimes other bits of data that I can verify their signed in and who they are and whether they are banned and such.
  17. I found out the hard way twice before that Windows XP will have a fit if you change too many critical components due to it's crappy piracy protection methods. The hardware I am upgrading is the Motherboard, CPU and Video Card which will obviously make WinXP have a fit and refuse to boot properly.I am wondering if anyone here knows a way around this? I don't much like the idea of having to wipe the drive clean of everything and start new, re-configure, re-download, re-install, repeat etc....EDIT: Oh and incase it is important I am using Windows XP Home with Service Pack 1 intergrated.P.S. Luckily my brother who will be getting my old hardware is running 2k and shouldn't have this problem heh heh.
  18. I haven't ever heard of it until I came along this thread. Is it like MySpace pretty much? My misses would probably be interested in it seen as she uses MySpace some other similar sites.
  19. I haven't come across any forum communities doing this before so it's new to me. A nice idea though.Didn't realise so many people still used MySpace....
  20. Wow...... that sounds pretty cheap for that speed. Do you have a bandwidth limit or cap (slowdown of download/upload speed once reached)?Btw does anyone know any good ISP's that aren't exepensives like Telstra, I'm in the Sydney Metro area so meh, shouldn't have a problem with most if not all that cover NSW.
  21. Just an arm? luck you :unsure:Nah I'm kidding. Sounds like the price varies all around even with conversion in place, I don't know about going to China for cheaper internet, seems a little too much effort for me lol.
  22. Yeah a bit like me except my misses is usually right next to me , certainly can't complain about that or well maybe sometimes....
  23. Yeah I'm pretty much online all the time as of late. Playing slavehack and modding the forums.Been programming my own forums in PHP/MySQL and working on a few Delphi projects for the fun of it.
  24. Yeah it is pretty fun, I don't play it too much lately but I am a moderator on the forums now so that keeps me busy heh heh
