Sorry to steal your thread for a moment but I would really appreciate it if anyone knows of somewhere I can purchase this game in Australia, preferably NSW.I loved the N64 version and myself, my brother and even my now 4 year old sister still play it from time to time. Iv'e seen some screen shots of Melee for Gamecube and it looks alot smoother then the N64 version, is there anything else changed? (I'd still be happy just to have the smoother graphics).

Anyone Knows Of A Good PPC Tracking Software? Software?
Chesso replied to ginginca's topic in Online Advertising
If I got this straight, you said this is pre-installed on asta hosted member accounts?Where to find it in the control panel to take a look? It sounds very interesting and usefull, I don't like the sound of the complexity lol but I have probably put myself through worse for less. -
I would have to agree, I don't think it will change much at all. Iv'e certainly seen plenty of misleading urls or typo'd urls leading to content it shouldn't have (or atleast as far as this new law is concerned). Is this US only? How would they punish a web master with a site on a server running in germany or something....

I am embarassed to say this but I completely forgot about Google Sitemaps (I once used it or tryed to) and completely forgot that I could have just google searched for the url.....It really never seemed to do anything for me though, I followed their instructions and checked it regularly for about 2 months, never got any sort of statistics or anything. Is there some trick to this?

I think I have been here only a little while, I'm not really sure to be honest, I haven't kept track. I'll have to check after this post lol.Congratulations on the 1 year of being a member here btw, I was also not too active at first. I honestly wasn't sure where to start posting, so many topics :|

I haven't read all the replys and original post content but I would have to disagree somewhat on static web pages. Many look just great, perhaps with some slightly fancier little effects on the menu's and such it could look nicer. Some if not many static sites still look very nice :DI'm personally not a fan of flash, It is nice when you have the option of either though, it's very considerate and I would say a good practice for sure.

Hahaha well yeah I am my own tech guy :unsure:It looks like it was the power supply which actually surprised me, besides being a generic brand all the ones I have had went amazingly well on machines that demand alot more power and run for much longer. It looks like the cause was plugging it into an exntended (4-plug) socket while the power was on, unfortunately I couldn't turn it off beforehand because I needed the internet connection running at the time and I had my mum hounding me to get it up and running for her ASAP.I ended up later pulling out the veriton's original 230 or so watter power supply to see if that was indeed the problem and it booted up immediately. But I don't know how long it will last and the power supply has only two power connectors for IDE devices and doesn't fit a standard case, not to mention the short wires/cording so I'll have to invest in a new one soon for him.

It's just an alternate to natural birth that has the possibility of being a little more controlled. There is alot of bad things that could come out of it but also alot of possible good. If we could find certain defining things that will cause problems later in life for a human they could be removed/altered to help prevent or not have it in the first place. But that requires alot of testing and refining..... I'm sure that there would be alot of hell over it.

I don't think there was any beeps, most of the time it plain doesn't start at all. Sometimes the fan of the cpu go's (usually when I unplug the power cable and plug it back in :S).No thunderstorms recently as far as I know, only high winds for the last couple of days but I dout that would have had any effect, besides the clothes on my clothing line nearly being blown off lol. It's a newish powersupply and my current PC has been using the exact same model for alot longer, it's just a generic P4 PSU though.

Here's an example of my login which seems to work just perfectly thus far: I do use files split up though. What I do with login.php is display a form with two input text fields and send that to my check_login.php file which checks the information against the database and then registers the session like so: session_register('username');$_SESSION['username'] = $username;session_register('password');$_SESSION['password'] = $password; $username and $password being the variabels send from the form that were validated to be correct. If not I just sent them back the login.php?error=incorrectlogindetails or somesuch. For pages that need to check if a user is logged in: session_start();if(isset($_SESSION['username']) && isset($_SESSION['password'])){header("location:login_successful.php?error=loggedin");} Which is in my login.php file, if isset is true then they are allready logged in and do not need to be here so it redirects them. And for logging out, it's as simple as: session_start();session_destroy(); I'm not sure if it's the best way to do it but it hasn't failed me yet.

As of right now when a user replys on my forums I store the date/time in the thread table/row for display so users know when the last reply was made. This looked ok for me on my computer for local testing using WAMP5 because of course my computer is set to my timezone, but I reliased after I had updated my site last night with the new feature and checked the site dismorning that it is using the timezone for Asta's server.Iv'e done some searching and found this default_timezone_set() function for PHP but it doesn't tell me how to find what I should give as the paramater for my particular timezone (I'm in Sydney so GMT+10, EST, I think).Anyone know how to use this function?P.S. I use the date() function and just store it as a string in the mysql database.

My younger (mentally challenged heh!) brother got a PS2 a couple of days ago and hasn't touched his computer since. My mum wanted me to start it up for her to do some online research for something and it just refuses to start all of a sudden.Basically no matter what I did only (sometimes) I could get the CPU fan spinning either really slow or just slow and the machine making a slight buzzing noise (normal but not as perky as usual).I have had problems like this in the past with the main power supply connector for the motherboard, some of the pin cases not getting in properly for some reason or another but this time it doesn't seem to make a difference. There could probably be million just possible reasons why it's stopped working all of a sudden but.... any ideas???P.S., It's a P3 933 using the motherboard for an Acer Veriton 4200, an old 32mb graphics card and 80gig western digital (If I remember correctly). Oh and just 256mb SDRAM module (PC133).

Mysql Error Never Seen On My Site Before (too Many Connections).
Chesso replied to Chesso's topic in Web Hosting Support
Was probably too many global wide connections. The home page only makes like 2 mysql_query's that are relativly simple select statements for one field of a row. -
Well that could be up for debate too. Depending on how someone was cloned or how the clone was made. I don't know of any special godly thing that just thwacks a soul into a newborn baby....So even if you built and designed it in a different manner if you get the same end result (more then one approach to many things) why shouldn't it have a soul? if souls do indeed exist. That's just thinking on a simple logical level though.A very simple and basic example of this is:2+2 = 4 and 1*4 = 4.Two different ways of getting the same result, but anyone can probably guess what is wrong with that in terms of mathematics but you get the idea right
