One Way To Earn Money Online (not Some Silly Scam).

Ahhh I see, well it is a good point that it would be difficult if not impossible to moderate to an acceptable degree. The only thing you could really go on is trust I suppose. It's the same with GAF though, Iv'e been paid for 3 jobs so far, it's fun , very satisfied customers too and even one fromy Sydney like myself . -

Perhaps there should (if there isn't already) be a forum section for this? Offering services and/or perhaps asking/buying them?Might an idea, you never know. -
Keyboard Simulation Low-level / Pascal / Delphi / Keyboard input simulation
Chesso replied to KDEWolf's topic in Programming
Not at all, I provided two alternatives to sending key presses which are the SendMessage and PostMessage API's.They are both fairly much the same except that SendMessage will wait until it's done where as PostMessage will just send it and come back not worrying about whether it got to it's location or not. -
Uhhh in relation to Graffiti's post (#28):Though it is a good question, a tale or a third hand are not essential to *survive*. From what I understand, survival is basically what comes first. In order to survive we need a heart and other organs that can sustain good enough for the enviroment we live in. So if we lived in a higher climate where a larger heart and what not would make our survival that much better (or just plain possible) it makes more sense that future generations would develop it.Don't know many jungle people that needed tails to live..... lol.

Keyboard Simulation Low-level / Pascal / Delphi / Keyboard input simulation

Looks like I missed this one....I have done this for Age Of Empires 2, to automatically enter cheats very fast to get resources up alot quicker (for my younger brother) in Delphi 7.Not sure why you are having problems with keybd_event, but don't forget about SendMessage and PostMessage API's.Which is most likely how I managed to get it done. Unfortunately the old Age Of Empires 2 project is long gone with an old crash of my older pc which I lost alot of good old Delphi projects (should have backed em up eh). -
Ouch, how come google banned you?, Google AdSense has done reasonably well for me thus far (one payout).I have heard of BidVertiser, a friend of mine uses it. He got up to the $10 and tryed to get it withdrawn and it didn't happen, he emailed them a few times asking what was going on and now there ignoring him lol.

Not sure if this is exactly the right place for this question, but I am very eager to find some learning material or tutorials/articles in creating games using Flash 8 (which uses ActionScript I believe?).The only thing I have really done in Flash so far is create a slide presentation with forward/back buttons that is a tutorial for Delphi that I put up on my site.I am looking for some basic flash game tutorials to get me started, so I can see some real code to play with, like uhh Snake, Tetris, a asteroids type game, all the sort of popular starter games.I have experience in Visual Basic 6 (games using BitBlt Win32 API function), Borland Delphi 7 (using unDelphiX for 2D DirectX games), HTML/XHTML/Javascript/VB Script/PHP/mySQL, C++ (for DLL's for my Delphi applications as well as basic Win32 GUI's) and a fair bit more.... so yeah, it's mainly the interface of Flash 8 that I have a real problem getting around (much like when I first started using Photoshop, which I still do have problems with remembering things as it has so many darn options and what not).Any help is greatly appreciated .

I had no idea about that little trick, that will be fun to play with to burn a few minutes of time .Also I just attempted this following the instructions in the original post on my desktop (using Windows XP Home - Service Pack 1) and it works just fine from my end.Heh heh, cool little trick .

Wow, really, 8 years???.I haven't even been using the internet and computers in general for nearly half as long and the first year or two I had no idea about Googles existance.....They've obviously done a fair bit since then, but I feel they could have done alot more eh.Well, happy birthday I guess none the less lol.

That's a very good question, and although I have not used an obscene amount of different file sharing clients, nowadays I stick with two.Which is the free and open source eMule and also the bittorrent client uTorrent.eMule has always been great, perhaps the queing system is a little annoying *sometimes* but generally I find it a very good file sharing programs.uTorrent is the greatest bittorrent client I have come across, I used to really like Azureus (besides the fact it was made in Java and requires a heavy runtime, plus it's GUI is hella slow), uTorrent however is an extremely small package, very small memory foot print, and quite fast in general (it also shapes any changes to upload/download speed to be a bit fairer instead of allowing the possibility of having 0 upload and maximum download).I have tried Bearshare and K-Lite when it was around (not sure if it still is) but didn't like those too much, nor shereaza or limewire.

I don't see why it's a touchy subject. You either believe in it, you don't, or you just don't really care.Personally I lean towards not believing or rather not really caring. If he does exist, he was not my direct creator. My mother and father are the ones who directly contributed to my existance, not him. I certainly don't answer to my grandparents except of course out of common courtesy or because I happen to like them.Basically the same reason why I refuse to answer to anyones claims of past misdoings on either a racial or any other effort, they did it then, not me now.But concerning the last bit I suppose most of us will have some form of biase towards a race until proven otherwise either on an individual level or otherwise, but that's just how it is.Anyway, I'm hoping it doesn't. When I finally drop off I want to be really dead not in some pit of flames or with bright lights shining in my poor eyes or however people portray it.I guess for example it's easier to believe there is life after death and what not. I don't find it easy to swallow my own belief that when I die that is it, no more just dead, but I do accept it.Oh well to each their own I guess, as long as it doesn't start cutting into and affecting other peoples lives. I don't go on and on about my beliefs on this particular topic (unless perhaps asked or provoked within reason), and I certainly don't appreciate the fools that knock on my door every week or bugging me in the middle of the street everytime I just want to pick up some bread sheesh lol.

I really like that wolverine one, you can have a 10 from me for that. The one above wolverine also deserves a 10 in my opinion.I also very much like the top one which is if I remember correctly "Spawn"?. I like the sig itself but I think the fact that it is squared/rectangled doesn't make it look as nice (or perhaps that is just me), but I'll give it a 9. -
Well, to be honest I haven't read much of the replys but this is probably obvious to some and may very well have been mentioned already to some degree, but this is how I do it.My web host (co-incidentaly Asta-Host heh heh) supports PHP, so I use includes, for my header/footer/left navigation/shoutbox and so on. Soon I will also be using them to have seperate meta tag data for different pages that could benefit from it (and also with more individualised titles). It's fairly simple to use with .php pages, where you want the source brought in just use: include 'myfile.html'; or include 'myfile.php'; etc. Which I believe just directly injects the source of the file you wish to include at that point.I use this also for the inclusion of my database connection file, instead of having that code re-written lots of times through several documents.

Well, although it's a service google is offering and I suppose should improve on their own with their own money. You have to consider the fact that some or alot of us use this service, so perhaps contributing to improving it and playing a game at the same time is worth it no?That was the whole idea behind it in the first place, I saw one of the presentation videos and the guy makes it pretty clear as to the games purpose. You can pay for something like WoW or if you got bored here and there you can play the Google game for free and at the same time help improve their services (which you and others might just happen to use).Sounds like a fairly good deal to me? If normal games we see today could contribute like that how good would it be, besides the price tag, I think they'd morally have to drop it .

Nice, 7 years is pretty solid. How has your PHP/mySQL learning been going? I caught onto the basics fairly quickly but like you I have previous experience in quite a few programming and scripting languages so it makes it that much easier to jump to.

Animated Dashed Border Tutorial
Chesso replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I never even though about doing that before.Nice idea and a nice tutorial mate!I might have to make good use of this . -
Yep, honestly if you can it's better to pay for something you will really use and/or look for a free alternative. Or if you have the skills try making a free alternative .

Yeah that is true, but if temptation wasn't there in the first place it could have the same effect, if we removed the fat food from the fat people what would they do?But I know Macca's and other such fast food (or rather fat food) resteraunts are going to be leaving us anytime soon.I used to eat there on the odd occasion when I was little, and a bit more as I grew older, but I don't go anywhere near there now unless I'm really in the mood for a thickshake.

Well, there is a difference between stealing and using the same ideas. I mean if I saw and like the Fast Reply feature on this forum and implemented my own into my forums would I be stealing?

It'd be a personal annoyance for me too. However if anyone else like my little sister (who often plays her Dora games and things on here) got on it'd probably be put to the test .

One Way To Earn Money Online (not Some Silly Scam).
Chesso replied to Chesso's topic in Websites and Web Designing
There infact often teams from what I have seen (or claim to be teams or companys) bidding on projects over there. To be honest I'm not comfortable in a team environment, I seem to get aloe more done on my own (but of course less complex projects). But who knows, there may be more users here interested in this. I have seen quite a few people around here that sounds like there pretty good with alot of web design stuff and such, but they might already have enough on there plate lol. -
One Way To Earn Money Online (not Some Silly Scam).
Chesso replied to Chesso's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah, if you have the aptitude for web design and graphics you can really get some decent money from here. I mostly try and do small jobs that I am sure I can do.I'm not that great with graphics and not the best with actualy web *design* so I don't usually go for those but hope to get myself to a confident level one day and try and win a bigger project even if only just for the satisfaction .Thanks for the link btw! -
Yep don't worry it's not a scam , but it isn't necessarily easy money either. I found a site a couple of weeks ago and well many of you may already know about sites like this but surprisingly I did not. It's just a freelance website where people can request jobs to be done and providers can bid on a buyer project and if they win they do the work and get paid, which is a simplified explanation of how it works. If anyone is interested in it the site is: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ And yes I do have an affiliates url lol (means I get a cut out of the sites cut from earnings) which you just add affiliates/Chesso to the link but that's entirely up to you. P.S. There are quite a few other sites that are basically the same but I haven't found any as active on this and I have done two jobs on this one already and got paid. If anyone knows of any other freelance sites like this that are anywhere near as active i'd appreciate a link . For anyone that wants to know what the site gets out of it, my understand is that they get $5 or 5% (which ever is greater) and you get a cut out of that $5 or 5% from your affiliates. I'm not 100% on that but that's how I understand how it works. Oh and if anyone is interested in what I bought with some of my earnings, I bought my brother DrgaonBall Z Budokai 3 for PS2 (well ok I play it too, going to play it in a minute actually, my sister re-started the game by accident and we lost all the levels and items ).
