  1. Normally I would be curious to read such material, but these days I find myself not liking books at all. I hate reading generally..... but obviously it's difficult to avoid in life and when I'm on a computer so much, I probably do more reading than book worms do lol.I think I actually sat down and read one once, just for the hell of it but I don't know any specifics about it's history or any other books, I'm assuming there quite a number of different ones.
  2. Well havign something faster would be nice, I'm not sure if I have tryed that one before or not.I just need something reliable to make a conversion from mostly uncompressed/xvid avi files. Normally they are compressed but with some smaller clips, don't always bother.I found that with Nero, either any editing or some times conversions on larger movies captured it just goes nutz, especially when in xVid/DivX format which they sometimes are from one of my skate buddies. They are mostly xVid but sometimes it reports DivX and I have no idea why he would use both *confused*.
  3. Oh well it sounds like whether I believe or not I'll pretty much have my way, sounds good to me.Where is everyone else on this topic anyway...... they have all dissapeared *shrugs*.
  4. Could eternal rest as in being quite literally plain old dead an option?I'm quite serious about that question btw, on the off chance something does happen when it's my time lol.
  5. Oh sure the the protective layer will decompose but so will the insides lol .Either rot intot he ground or be eating by some other form of life, and the cycle continues *dun dun dun*.
  6. Well I do perform good deeds when I can, but not for anything in return.I won't be bored sitting in a casket dead because my body will cease to function, I will no longer have thought or feelins or anything else, just like any other dead creature *shrugs*.So once I'm dead it won't matter to me because I can't care lmao.
  7. Hmmm, personally I don't like that idea and hope you are wrong. The idea of dying and nothing to more to be had can be somewhat scary, but once I die i'd rather very much stay that way and leave it at that eh.Besides I'd hate to see how cramped this place is that peopel go to......
  8. Personally, the case shouldn't matter, case strict languages piss me off period, it's annoying as hell. However, in the case of HTML to XHTML, I'm actually all for it lol.It makes things much easier in the end to follow XHTML.
  9. Uhhhh..... what would I do aside from living until I die *confused*, aside from the obvious living habits of our people. Can I live forever, or become unliving or something lol.
  10. Ummm, I was refering to the text, which is man made I believe, and so was speech, the english language and all the other languages for that matter.I wasn't referring to god, jesus or anything remotely similar lol.And no I personally do not sit and wonder why I am here and if there is a higher purpose or any such jibberish, there are millions of people on the planet...... do we all have an individual higher purpose.... ehhh sure.My purpose is to live until I die.
  11. The structure is a bit like science or math, something you have to be into to actually understand. It's like me trying to explain the concepts of software programming and general development to a complete newb, I have to reference real life situations or simplify it for them so they can begin to understand.
  12. To me, that makes absolutely no sense what so ever, couldn't they just use simple words to explain the meaning.... sheesh.
  13. It certainly is, I use it quite often for web deveoping as it gives you the RGB and Hex values so you can do a quick copy/paste/save and re-load to see the changes.Actaully, I think a nice lightish forest green colour scheme would be nice, might take a bit of playing around to get it just right though.
  14. What about Jellyfish? I'm not an expert but recent things (for some reason I remember) told me basicalyl that's what jellyfish also do.They have no control over where they go and what they do, they have no form of brain or anything like that.I'm pretty they are considered alive, errr are their behaviours and restrictions closely related?
  15. Just to begin with I want to say that I am not here necessarily to complain about it lol.I'm not sure but if my site is possibly helping to contribute to the problem, I'd like to know if anyone knows any good articles or tutorials that might have information on what to look out for that could contribute to these sort of problems.I know my site may not have anything to do with it (as I don't think it is overly popular or anything or even close), but knowing what to look out for when messing with PHP/mySQL would be great.I personally haven't found too much information on my own, so maybe some other members here might know of some better resources.Any help is greatly appreciated (and yes vujsa I read over your reply in my previous topic and it had some good ideas, but the information I am mainly looking for atm is ways to spot potential connection issues in the making and better ways to do things generally etc). :PEDIT: Umm I kind of set my site to redirect to google.com, is that allright? Just a sort of real temporary measure to stop any possible connection attempts on the database generally for awhile. It's not too important to have it going atm so yeah.
  16. Well we all know some people out there will do anything to make it look real or even to dismiss it's existance whether it be false or true, which is one the problems. And then there's the people that really believe one or the other but with false information....It's difficult to say the least to even begin disecting it eh?
  17. I have tried Nero but it crashes all the time..... and I mean *all* the time. The burning software is perfect but their video software is just not doing anything for me .
  18. Thanks for the nice comment webintern, it's greatly appreciated! So if I have this right now, say these cells within the body are generated, more or less by the body and these virus's simply transform or in some way change them to be like the virus, is that along the right lines?Seeing more discussions such as this on the board are really starting to peak more of an interest in them for me, I may have to start doing some searching and self learning to find some more technical details and understanding so I can participate better in discussions like these.
  19. Aside from manual submission to Google, you might want to also try using Google Sitemaps (https://www.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2F&followup=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2F, requires a google account, a gmail account will do). All you need to do is create a sitemap.xml file where your index file resides (take a look at mine as an example http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) and submit it to your Google Sitemap account under your site url once added. You may need to verify your you have access to the server by creating a randomly generated html file name in your Sitemap account, such as erte79g7g9gy9r6google.html. Other than this, validate your site using one of the W3C validators and appropriate Doc Types, try to make sure your meta tag keywords and description are actually used in the content of your site (and have different meta tag keywords description and title tags for different pages that are relevant). Also try to have a good amount of actual textual content on each page, not just a heaps images and layout code and what not.
  20. nighthawk, that's actually a pretty good point about robots, I suppose more people would be leaning on the no in regards to that though (but it may very well end up on the debate table aswell).I do not have any knowledge or any sort of education concerning biology or anything like that so anything I say is purely based on my logical thoughts or some such eh.I'm not entirely sure how a virus or other similar things work but if it can manage to feed off something and replicate itself and grow and what not I would say it's alive.Maybe not in the same was as us, bit I suppose if you think about, it does have some similarities eh.In regards to "vegetable people", I would classify them as alive, their brain may not function as well but their overall system still caters to iself to a degree and grows, changes, eats, excretes etc.Anyway, I don't have any technicaly knowledge on the subject so I can't say much, but from my understanding I would classify a virus or some virus's as alive.
  21. I have tried quite a few and many of them have problems or don't give the desired output.I'm in Australia so I need something that outputs to PAL and hopefully have the movie come out the same as it went in.I have a NERO one as apart of my Nero burning package but often closes due to annoying errors much like alot of software I have tried, (something preferably simple to use would be nice as my younger autistic brother will need to use it also). It's mostly going to be used for old footage of me skateboarding but also for videos mum has taken of my sister or of me and the missus together. Most are encoded using xvid. Not entirely sure what my brother encodes some of them in (he probably doesn't even know lmao).Any help is greatly appreciated (mum has been bugging me about it meh).
  22. Ummm.... that's why it has options to limit it? I haven't had any problems with limiting the speed *shrugs*.
  23. Yeah I certainly wouldn't mind learning it myself, but I realise it's one of those things that can really catch you out and isn't easy to keep a good grasp on.
  24. Let me put it this way, I don't have a degree in software development or anything similar but I can darn well guarentee you that I can put alot of them to shame (to a certain degree).Bits of useless paper don't mean anything.I think what he meant was, what ever related to psychics in that book, there may have been some facts that are obviously false.
  25. You'd have to wonder how something exists that has that kind of power and potential eh.
