  1. Hm, I didn't know that 1Mbit was 100Kbits. Hawever, this can be a bit wierd, I'll show you why.1Mb = 1000KbWhen we divide by 8 to get bytes:1000Kb = 125KB1024KB = 1MB125KB = 0.122MBNow we return to bits again0.122MB = 0.976MbSo we get 0.976Mb = 1Mb? Now, Wikipedia says that for bits 1Mb = 1000Kb is the standard, whereas we know that for bytes 1MB = 1024KB is the standard. And how can we combine these two if the standards are different???Anyway, back to the topic. An interesting thing to mention is NOT limiting the bandwidth. Out there you can find many hosts that offer unlimited bandwidth (somewhere unlimited space, too). Any beginner will be delighted, but experts know it isn't so. We can compare it to GMail. If they said we had unlimited space, every one would believe them, because nobody would get to the 2.5GB limit that easy. However, if some freak shows up and starts sending massive emails to himself, he is bound to reach the limit. The same thing is with hosts. The bandwidth is not limited - and unfortunately, it's not even big. The host know beginners will come, with their unknown web sites, and therefore will not spend a lot of bandwidth. It can be quite a good deal, since these hosts usually cost quite a lot.
  2. I wouldn't agree on this one. It's Internet Explorer that always misinterprets the code. You really can't say that IE's code understanding is good, because it isn't. For example (not a real problem, just an pointer), you write a CSS file defining a certain border as 2px dashed. And you expect to see a dahsed line. But no - in IE you get a solid line, that is quite probable to be thicker/thinner. Guess that says everything about what I think of IE.
  3. I have never heard of this before, but seems like a good idea. Just to make sure I understood everything, there is absolutely no way to lose something, right? All you can do is earn money? If that's how it works, I'm in As for this service, the first thing put me off is their URL. Having a CO.NR URL is bad However, later I've noticed that their real URL is https://www.resellerspanel.com/. Anyhow, after bwrowsing the web site a little bit, I haven't discovered a lot, but I suppose you should invest something, at least for a domain name. And there was another thing that caught my eye. So, you set your prices, that are higher then theirs, in order to ear something. However, why would anyone by hosting at you web site if they can find something cheaper? Tricky, I say
  4. Well, as you said it, the bug is still there. All tabs get deselected wherever you go. Nevertheless, I will stick to my idea - but then again, it is just a personal opinion.
  5. Oh my God.. I see you are not informed at all.. Some say iPod is a revolution just for itself, but I don't like it very much. In fact, I don't like HDD MP3 players at all. They don't provide you with the necessary freedom - you need to be very careful. On the other hand, flash MP3 players can be bumped and everything, but they will not stpo working. Anyhow, for more infomation visit http://www.apple.com/ipod/?cid=oas-us-domains-ipod.com P.S. Sorry for the small off-topic.
  6. I have another comment I know it's quite usual to see, but I don't like it. When you are visiting the home page, the DESIGN tab will be selected. However, it will still remain a link, which is unnecessary. Why would people go to the same page? So my idea is to put the selected ones just as images.
  7. 15 minutes ago it wasn't working What did you do to fix it? As far as I found out, those problems happen when installing some components/modules, and also have to do with the configuration.php file. The $mosConfig_live_site URL should start with http:// and $mosConfig_absolute_path should't end with a /
  8. I have encountered this problem before. I'll try to find the answer, just give me some time.
  9. This is just another attemp to rule the world - and they won't make it. I don't see the poing of making a new format when there are so many others, and probably better. Micro$oft should just stick to making programmes and stop messing with other things which are to be left to the professionals.
  10. To make it short - no. You can't even have one at Xisto and one at Xisto. It's just agains the rules. Or so I think
  11. It is most definitely a hardware problem. Maybe the processor is over-heating, or it's the RAM. First of all, check the CPU fan and the CPU temperature - 2 minutes is enough to see that in BIOS. If it all seems OK, then try putting the memory into another computer. If it shuts down too, you know what the problem is.
  12. You can always test it, since there is a Windows version, too. As for the people that use Windows, surfing the internet on Linux is just as easy as on Windows
  13. I absolutely agree. Some might say that rules are there to be broken, but I don't agree. So what if he is so famous? Rules are rules. It's not like he's done something hard to put right. He just had to change his signature. If he was tolerated, then other members would like to break the rules too, and that is not good. The staff was really fair and I don't see the problem here.
  14. Well, m^e, I've had the same thing as you in mind. However, that way it is quite hard to predict what will go next. We have: +0 -1 +1 +1 There are numerous possibilities and we can't find what is being repeated. But here's a guess: +1, +0, -1, +1. It is quite stupid, but that way we would get this sequence: 3 3 6 8 15 24 39 62 102 I might have made a mistake when calculating, but this is one of the possibilities.
  15. If your cyber cafe provides only internet access, then Linux would be a good idea. On the other hand, if people can play games too, you'll have to stick with Windows (unfortunatelly). From my experience, Service Pack 2 does imrove the security level, but also slows down the computer. You don't even need it if you have good protection. I have Kaspersky Antivirus, ZoneAlarm and Service Pack 1. In the last year my computer had a virus maybe three times, and only because I downloaded some infected files. KAV is there just to clean up, whereas ZoneAlarm is the real thing. It blocks anything from leaving (and entering) your computer, unless you allow a certain program to have access to the internet.Linux, however, is a totally different story. It is fully functional when it comes to surfing and the amount of viruses for it not considerable. By using Linux you:1. Protect your computer without additional programmes2. Improve the performances, because Linux is tiny compared to WindowsSadly, assuming that you have legal versions, and that you paid for them, it is stupid to remove them from the computers. Nevertheless, if you add more computers to you cafe, think of installing Linux and giving it a chance.
  16. Yep, the version with tabs It summarizes everything you have on your web site, so it is easier to find. Also, it looks more professional and fits in. And another thing I just noticed - you don't have a favicon, and I think it gives your web site a special touch.
  17. I guess there is no topic aging here Which is good in some ways.
  18. I've watched some trailers and I can say that the graphics have improved a lot. However, I hope it has better AI that the one Contracts has. The enemy would find you even when it was absolutely impossible! Also, Contracts had a confusing story, which is why my favourite part is the second one. I hope to buy the game as soon as I can.
  19. Oh my God, you bumped a topic that was last posted in one year ago just to say that Anyhow, I don't know what version Xisto's Fantastico offers, but it's always better to install it on your own and learn something.
  20. As nightfox said, phpBB has a huge number of security issues, even the newer versions. What's more, you don't have to be a professional cracker to crack it - an ordinary Google search can do it for you. Anyhow, a friend of mine that was just getting into forum stuff installed phpBB version 2.something. In order to show him how it was a bad idea, a just played with the admin panel a bit So he switched to IPB and hasn't had any problems since then. It has happened a few times that something was wrong with the _posts table, but a simple repair fixed it.As for SMF, one of the main things that put me off was the forum creation system, or, to be more precise, assigning permissions. IPB is much more easy to use when it comes to that.

This language is a bit similar to mine (and finaldesign's ), sI'll try to give you some info. The free hosting provides you with 500MB fo web space and 5GB bandwidth. Also it supports PHP, AJP and JSP, and has MySQL. What I didn't find is if they have ads on their web sites. And krassyo, are there any more reason why you left this hosting?
  22. You say until now. Does it mean that you have just encountered a problem, or you haven't yet? Just checking, because it is quite weird to have a problem at GMail.
  23. As far as I can see, K700i has been very popular lately, and it has various functions. I like it because it has both IC port and Bluetooth - some models don't have IC because they think it's too old - but I don't. The camera is rather good, but if you want a camera, go buy an Olympus, not a cell phone. Everything else is quite satisfying.
  24. Yeah, that's old stuff, but it's still interesting why it shows up as the first result Conspiracy..
