  1. I personally use gmail, and will most likely stick with gmail. 30gigs sounds nice, but it really is overkill for most people. I could understand if you were a person who receives a lot of attachments in your email [for work, most likely] and needed the space, but as it stands I have 3100 emails in my gmail account, and that only adds up to 55mb [1%]. So if you want to use all 30gigs, you'd have to be getting a LOT of BIG files in the mail, or using it for storage somehow.BUT if you don't have an email address already, or you're looking for a new one, it couldn't hurt. I just won't be using it because I'm ridiculously used to typing @gmail, and @30gigs is weird because it has numbers.Whatever, I'm picky.
  2. My girlfriend breaks up with me once a month, for this exact reason.
  3. For the border thing, make sure "inside" is selected when the stroke window is open.
  4. Kind of plain, but that's how all early sigs come out. Keep practicing, you'll be surprised at how quickly you can improve your sig skills. <3
  5. I absolutely know what you mean. I wish people still played Action Quake 2. T.T But yes, some mods last for very very long periods of time. Like Counter-strike.
  6. Not a problem. You put [ quote ] and [ /quote ] around whatever you want to show up like that. make sure you take the spaces out, of course.
  7. I used to be, back when I lived in New York and Texas...but there really aren't any Walmarts out here in California...Target for sure though.
  8. I honestly don't care enough about cell phones to know any of them by name. The last cell phone I had was one of these, and I haven't used it in about 6 years: home.aspx It's the goldish silver one, actually. I do happen to be getting a new one sometime this weekend though, which is lovely. I hate having no car and no phone...it's a pain in the butt when you need to get somewhere.
  9. I know most charities make a difference. Sure, I've never been [DIRECTLY] on the giving or receiving end of a charity, but I know they put out millions of dollars regularly to help out the needy.I think it's more an issue with the people receiving things. It's kind of hard to explain, but sometimes people get so lazy that they need people to KEEP helping them out, instead of receiving that one push at the beginning and working from there. That's the point at which charities just can't make a difference.Yeah, they help people every now and then, but after that, the person has to help them self as well.
  10. I think what's funny is that, most people who are relatively experienced with computers realize that hackers can be just as good as bad, but as soon as you say something with the word hacker in it, people get defensive. It's some kind of natural thing to want to avoid contact with hackers.
  11. Any search involving johnny rockett, johnny sig, johnny graphic...most of them link back to me here pretty highly on google. It's weird.
  12. I have a blog. I'd love to post in it more, but it never recieves any feedback, so it just feels like I'm talking to myself or a brick wall, you know?
  13. <--better at art design<--would like to learn web design<--would also like to combine the two<--plus flash.
  14. Encryption is the way to go. I had a gallery script at one point that had some pretty nasty encryption on it. Do it right and there's literally no way anyone will get around it.
  15. Have fun paying 600 bucks for a video card. I'd never pay that much, regardless of what level of games I could be playing.
  16. I'm in the US....I graduated high school a year ago, I haven't gone to college yet. Things are going okay for me, but it'd probably look better on a resume if I had more qualifications. But right now my job is more important to me. I just really need the money.Guess it's a personal thing here.
  17. Johnny

    Love

It'd be a lot more interesting if it were your own work, imo. =/
  18. Oh, I LOVE building computers. The only problem with that is that I don't have any kind of money to do it. I can't even upgrade my own computer, I'm stuck with a pentium 2 and a radeon 9100 from who knows how long ago. the only nice part in there would be my new 300g hard drive...too bad it's not as fast as it could be, because the processor can barely process 2 times 2.
  19. It's true there are a lot of different types of hackers. I think I might try software hacking/disassembly sometime soon. It's a handy skill to have, provided you can get to the point of knowledge where you can do it without being guided. I also need to learn CSS pretty much asap, but that's a different story.
  20. See you savage, have fun wherever you wander off to. Feel free to come back. <3
  21. Dreamweaver and Photoshop, if I'm doing a site from scratch. Haven't done that in a while though.
  22. I like the layout. It's good looking, but still functional, you know?
  23. The Gamecube and Xbox came out over 5 years ago, it'll be six years near the end of 2007...and the PS2 came out a year before that. That's plenty of time for a game system to live, since things like computers are being updated with new and improved hardware almost monthly. If you look at it in terms of video game consoles vs. graphics cards... There are new 512mb radeon whatevers out for computer systems today, and the gamecube is probably still running a 32mb card from five years ago. The CPU's are just as old as well. Now, maybe you're adding in handhelds to your "3 years concept", but handhelds aren't considered consoles at all.Gamecube has had a pretty long life and a lot of games...[most of which are crappy, but that's developer's faults.]A universal game system would either be a collaboration by all the big game companies, which they wouldn't do, because they lose money without competition, or an illegal system from a third-party that would get shut down probably before it even sold anything. I think so far game companies are doing okay...I just wish developers would do what they're capable of. I'd make a bet that 90% of all video games today aren't as good as they could be, with the people who are making them. Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing games, but most just aren't as good as is possible. I blame that on time restraints by publishers, to get things done faster so they can get paid. I read somewhere that Bungie [developers of the Halo series] had to cut Halo 1 almost in half because of time restraints. If you think of it by the numbers, that's a ridiculous amount of good game experience gone to waste.
