Problem In LAN PlayC&c Generals & Zero HourHere is my problem: At my home I have two pcs. Me and my brother generally play most lan games. 1. We start C&C generals ( having different serials). Then we go to lan play and one of us create a game, leaving a slot open for either of us to join. 2.The moment the server starts, the slot closes and a message pops up in the small chat window below: "slot closed, going to sandbox mode" What is the exact problem? OpinionSpyware / Virus Removal Help NeededPlease check and remove any autoruns (*.Inf files) that are running on your computer. Goto console. Start -> Run -> type cmd->click Ok. If cmd is not working because of viruses try command.Com (the windows native command shell) starting from your first hard disk letter to last one. Eg: C:/D:/E, do the following: type: c: and enter, type dir /ah, space coming after dir. Now check the list of files shown. If you found an autorun.Inf file, it may be the virus spreading file. Check all HDD Letters. Type: attrib -a -s -h and enter. It will remove hidden and read only attributes of the file. now type del *.Inf and enter. This command will delete all files of autorun type. I turned off the PC and went away for the weekend, when I came back I had the 1 second power up issue. I replaced the PSU and had the same issue I replaced the mobo with the same mobo and had the same issue I popped in an old CPU and its FIXED! So I would recommend checking the PSU first (buy one at Best Buy or an office supply store and use it to test - if it fixes the problem good, if not just return to the store), then the CPU or mobo (if you have any spares) Upon closer inspection of the apparently bad cpu I noticed that my thermal compound had seeped down and shorted 2 pins! My Alienware M500 is a brick. It has weird screen problems and sometimes it won't even boot. When I get it to finally boot.. Ocassionaly the screen will go black. The system will still be on, but I will have to look at a black screen and there's nothing I can do to get it to come back on. This is my first Alienware; bought new back in 2006. And I'm pretty sure the Charger is screwed as well. It doesn't stay charged long and when the system is turned off the charge light doesn't even come on. It's a cat question. The cat(not really mine) will poop in front of the door every now and then, weeks in between then a couple days in a row. I clean her litter box several times a day so not a problem there. I change her litter out less than every two weeks. I'm looking after the cat for a friend that is out of town for two years, I have had her for about six months. She has been doing this for about three months.She is not an out side cat. When she was born her and the rest of litter caught some virus and she was the only survivor. I have not noticed anything change outside or inside to cause such a behavior. Because she is four years old and half retarded it is next to impossable to train her. Sometimes at night I can hear her pawing at the floor like outside cats do. Summer is my favorite season, simply because in Fall and in Winter, we Virginians don't get any snow (or not anymore due to Global Warming). Not only that, but I hate how the days get smaller. I love Spring and Summer, the days get longer, more things to do, more time to have fun, sadly though, it goes by too fast. Spring/Fall have their cons, allergies, flu, but of the two, spring is better. I don't understand why people like Fall better, the days just get shorter, I wake up to go to school at around 5:30AM, its dark outside, I come home at around 3-4PM, and its already sunset, I HATE FALL!

hi guys, The answer to all your questions, This method works with starcraft ipx aswell (xp systems only if you want starcraft to work with ipx) with updates it works with tcp. Forget all the router rubbish if you do manage to get that to work its sheer dumb luck. I have tried it all, First of all you need an old version of hamachi this is the key! http://www.oldapps.com/download.Php?oldappsid=HamachiSetup-1.0.1.1-en.Exe thats the version you want, do not update it at all. Next is disable your firewall and then go into settings in your firewall, click advanced and make sure you untick hamachi in protected networks. Apply all that go into your game of aoe2 or starcraft. XPPro vs XPMCEDowngrade Windows MCE To XP?Truth is...Media Center and XpPro are the same with two subtle, but important differences. The media center app itself is not provided in XPPro. Neither is native support for the hardware usually associated with such a machine, and XPMCE does not have the group policies that XPPro provides. However, I believe that there is an update available from microsoft which will upgrade the policies on an mce installation. Summary...With the proper updates, XPMCE is the superior OS for entertainment. In the rare instance you are managing many many machines say in a skyscraper lol then xp pro would be a better choice. it works for me as well. I think the trick is to type / manually redirect the browser by typing as you suggested the http//localhost/mysite.Php. Previousl y I just let the explorer default to the browser if I were to "run" my php file, and it didn't work. Thanks for the forum.
